"High School DxD?"
Hearing Luo Shu's muttering, Sharon said, somewhat puzzled:
"Do those vile, filthy creatures even attend school?"
Meanwhile, Enigma also looked strangely at Luo Shu:
"According to Ravel's own account, she was a young lady educated by private tutors at home. Surely she wouldn't have attended high school like humans?"
Nearby, La Folia spread her hands:
"Honestly, the fact that demons have private tutors is shocking enough. I always imagined them living like barbarians in some Roman colosseum-style world~"
Hearing their exchange, Luo Shu raised a hand for silence before explaining:
"'High School DxD' doesn't refer to some school demons attend, but rather my personal nickname for a particular world I'm familiar with."
Here, Luo Shu narrowed his eyes with slight hesitation:
"How to put this..."
"That world also has gods and demons, with various mythological and legendary races all existing as real entities."
"This includes the 72 demons described in the Testament of Solomon."
"Led by the Four Great Satans, governed by the Devil Council, with Pureblood Demons as their backbone, they've established demonic society in a dimension called the Underworld."
"And Ravel Phenex is the eldest daughter - the third child - of the pureblood Phenex family within that society."
"In other words, Ravel Phenex is a genuine phoenix."
Turning to Enigma, Luo Shu added:
"Actually, this 'High School DxD' world bears striking similarities to the True Hell behind the Hell Sect."
"It also has 72 demon pillars, demonic nobility, and Demon Gods bearing names like Baal and Beelzebub."
"Though I suspect the demons from High School DxD would be somewhat weaker."
Enigma on the opposite sofa seemed thoughtful upon hearing this, while Sharon beside her frowned and asked:
"Weaker by some margin? How much weaker exactly?"
Luo Shu pondered for a moment before carefully replying:
"Demons in the High School DxD world do have noble titles, but those are more about ancestral glory. In True Hell, however, noble ranks are directly tied to strength."
"According to High School DxD's classification, demons are only divided into five tiers: Low-Class, Middle-Class, High-Class, Ultimate-Class, and Satan-Class."
"Ravel Phenex, as a High-Class demon, would fall within the Hero Rank based on Raziel's description."
"Yet in True Hell, a High-Class demon like Ravel wouldn't even qualify for nobility, as the lowest rank of noble demons - the Barons - are all Demigod Rank demons."
"The two worlds likely differ drastically in both foundational and higher-level aspects, including combat capabilities."
"To put it simply, True Hell could be considered a super-enhanced version of the Underworld demons from High School DxD?"
"If we're comparing difficulty levels, one would be 'easy' while the other surpasses 'hard' and 'very hard', reaching something like 'hell difficulty'."
Enigma seemed to understand Luo Shu's meaning, her expression turning rather peculiar as she said:
"By that logic... the Satans in the High School DxD world would be equivalent to Barons or perhaps even the next rank up - Viscounts - in True Hell?"
"Are they Demigods or Apostles?"
"Could be Apostles, could be Demigods... or perhaps even lower - those unaffiliated wild Demigods without proper Classes?" Luo Shu sounded uncertain himself.
According to Raziel's records, while Ravel was Hero Rank, her strength lay mainly in her immortality rather than direct combat prowess.
This level... could only be considered an entry-level Hero Rank. While her bloodline talents allowed her to compete with skilled Hero Rank opponents, against top-tier Heroes or those with proper Hero Classes, Ravel would barely qualify as a beginner.
Yet this same Ravel was already considered a High-Class demon in High School DxD.
Above her, there were only Ultimate-Class demons, Satans, and among the Satans, elite figures such as Sirzechs Lucifer.
Without having personally encountered opponents of these levels, Luo Shu couldn't accurately gauge their strength.
But Ultimate-Class demons likely couldn't match Demigods... perhaps Satan-Class could?
Hearing Luo Shu's uncertain words, Enigma showed an awkward, almost embarrassed expression:
"So you're saying the Four Great Satans over there might at best be on par with Viscounts from True Hell?"
Seeing Enigma's expression, Luo Shu looked slightly puzzled but still replied:
"Probably? I haven't actually seen them, but judging from Ravel's situation and what I know, they should be roughly comparable."
Though Luo Shu recalled that the Satans in the High School DxD world hadn't demonstrated abilities like Concept Entanglement to crush lower-tier opponents, considering descriptions of their full power being capable of destroying Japan, they could arguably be classified as powerful Demigods or even Apostles?
After these thoughts flashed through his mind, Luo Shu curiously watched Enigma, who had suddenly sighed, and asked:
"Have you had contact with people from the High School DxD world?"
"I suppose you could say I have..."
Facing Luo Shu, Enigma hesitated briefly before choosing not to conceal the truth:
"I once tried to use Beelzebub from that world, exchanging Evil Piece technology with him. I even hoped his forces would attack the Hidden Management Department's garrison to create an opportunity for me to seize the Star Gate..."
"Beyond that, I also planned to use Beelzebub to counterbalance the Grand Dukes of True Hell, profiting from their conflict..."
"But now, hearing your intel..."
Enigma didn't finish her sentence.
Because by then, Sharon and La Folia had simultaneously turned to stare at Enigma in shock.
Even Luo Shu was looking at Enigma with an extremely peculiar expression.
"Using the Satans from High School DxD to counterbalance the Grand Dukes of True Hell?"
"Enigma..."
Luo Shu sighed, then raised his thumb in admiration despite Enigma's embarrassed expression:
"You're one ruthless woman."
Cross-referencing Luo Shu's previous divination about the Hell noble and Nia Honjo's intel, if nothing was mistaken...
The Grand Dukes of True Hell should, at the very least, be Divine Rank existences.
Meanwhile, the Demon God Vassago, the Hell noble and founder of the Fairy of Knowledge Class, was famous as the youngest Divine Rank, hence his noble title of Grand Duke.
And here was Enigma, trying to use one of the Four Great Satans—estimated to be at the Apostle level—to counterbalance a group of Divine Rank Grand Dukes from Hell...
So Enigma's idea of "balance" was putting a ping-pong ball on one side of the scale and planet Earth on the other?
Now that was a brilliant balancing strategy.
