Those long immersed in the mystic side knew well that Abyss Artefacts possessed bizarre, often unreasonable abilities.
Though confident her true body was protected by layers of power against ordinary detection methods, Emma couldn't guarantee Luo Shu or even the SDS lacked means to locate it.
Indeed, Emma's decades in the mystic side without failure stemmed from avoiding direct conflict with major factions, instead seeking cooperation.
This very approach earned her a reputation as a mediator.
Thus, facing Luo Shu, wielding an unknown Abyss Artefact, Emma couldn't dismiss the possibility of him finding her.
Not even her true body's strongest divination interference spells offered certainty.
Noticing Emma's tension, Sayuri Sawamura smirked mischievously:
"You seem rather nervous, don't you?"
Emma remained silent, glancing at Luo Shu, who showed no intention to engage.
This silent display of what appeared to be an Abyss Artefact proved more intimidating than any arrogant explanation of abilities could.
Unlike Emma, Luo Shu's wordless actions filled Sayuri with unprecedented confidence:
"Actually, my Plan A has failed~"
Emma's eyebrow twitched. Plan A? Meaning there was a Plan B?
Seeing this reaction, Sayuri giggled:
"Plan C, to be precise. Plan B was for when you successfully escaped."
"Now that we've only caught your avatar, it's somewhat close to you getting away."
Her words dripped with mockery as she stepped forward, slowly approaching Emma. Upon reaching her, Sayuri raised a hand to caress Emma's cheek.
Emma didn't evade - partly unable to move, but also because the moment she considered action, she sensed Luo Shu's threatening Spiritual Power locking onto her.
'No escape... nor any attempt possible...'
Cold sweat trickled down Emma's forehead as she endured Sayuri's touch.
At this moment, Sayuri Sawamura stroked Emma's face, half-jealous and half-angry as she said:
"Though I'm reluctant to admit it, Emma, you really are a very lovely girl..."
"When you were competing with me for Robert back then, I truly considered you my greatest rival."
"After all, compared to my playful and mischievous personality, your sweet appearance and status as his fiancée were far more appealing to men."
"If not for that, I wouldn't have used my family's influence to bind Robert to Japan with benefits, artificially separating you two."
"Thinking about it now, this must have all been part of your calculations, wasn't it?"
Emma listened to these words without responding, uncertain whether the Raziel in Luo Shu's hands functioned like some artefacts that required vocal confirmation to activate.
Seeing Emma's silence, Sayuri smiled meaningfully:
"It doesn't matter if you don't speak. You won't need to say anything later anyway."
Her smile turned teasing as she continued:
"According to what you just said about the flower, Emma, it seems you're still a pure maiden, aren't you?"
"You mentioned earlier that my plans failed because they were designed for your male form. So how do you think I should deal with your female version now?"
Emma merely stared at Luo Shu's hands, carefully avoiding looking directly at the Raziel.
When Sayuri noticed her continued silence, she followed Emma's gaze to Luo Shu and asked:
"Why isn't she speaking? Luo Shu, have you taken control of her voice, too?"
"She's probably worried about the artefact in my hands," Luo Shu replied calmly after glancing at Emma.
"Don't worry, this isn't an Abyss Artefact like the Purple Gold Gourd. Though I doubt you'd believe me even if I told you?"
Surprisingly, Emma spoke up directly:
"I believe you."
"After all, Demigods like you at the pinnacle wouldn't bother deceiving small fry like me, would you?"
'Flattering me now? What's her angle?' Luo Shu gave Emma a look but showed no reaction.
Meanwhile, Emma had turned back to Sayuri with a bright smile:
"By the way, Sayuri, did you really think violating my clone would affect me?"
"If that's the case, I should clarify something."
"Would you feel angry if someone violated a doll you were holding?"
Sayuri suddenly looked delighted:
"So what you're saying is, you would be angry if it happened to your real body?"
"That makes things simple."
Almost as if she'd been fishing for this exact response, Sayuri immediately turned and walked towards Luo Shu, patting his shoulder cheerfully:
"I'll leave the rest to you, Luo Shu."
"So this so-called Plan C was just about getting me to capture her real body?" Luo Shu gave Sayuri an exasperated yet fond look before approaching Emma with the Raziel:
"Honestly, your luck seems rather poor. The method to capture your true form only occurred to me after obtaining Raziel..."
Luo Shu flipped open Raziel, and a grey quill appeared in his hand. As he wrote upon it, he spoke calmly:
"By the rules, the future written upon Raziel will, according to its judgements, become the rules of reality."
"Thus, I hereby write the future!"
Though Raziel's ability could take effect without explanation, articulating its power granted an additional boost through verbal incantations.
Since Emma's true form, Enigma, was a Hero Rank who possessed a Demigod Rank ability—placing her on par with Luo Shu's current state—he naturally reinforced Raziel's power with incantations as a precaution.
The next moment, under a meaningful gaze, Luo Shu wrote upon Raziel with the quill:
[Five seconds later, Emma will sign her name upon the Familia contract! The contract's effect will extend to her true form, Enigma.]
After penning these words, Luo Shu lightly tossed a scroll of contract parchment into the air.
Emma's expression seemed to freeze completely in that instant.
