When Luo Shu noticed unusual ripples within the Astronomy Club, his brow twitched as he projected his consciousness into the alternate space inside.
This time, he didn't create a false avatar to carry his consciousness. Thus, his perspective wasn't human-like but rather a god-like, 360-degree omniscient view—akin to a divine vantage point.
It was then that he saw Ishaha, who had escaped death several times before, reciting a prayer incantation in the language of demons.
"Noble Prince of Hell."
"Master of Forgotten Knowledge."
"Herald of Past and Future."
"Great Demon God Vassago!"
Seeing Ishaha chant the incantation, Luo Shu was startled and instinctively prepared to mobilise the Astronomy Club's internal power to materialise weapons and kill her.
The system could manifest food within the club, so naturally it could also conjure weapons out of thin air—they just couldn't be taken outside the system space and required minimal points.
After several experiments, Luo Shu had found that the more familiar the object, the easier it was to materialise. Thus, his first instinct was to summon his usual handgun.
Yet just as Luo Shu was about to manifest the firearm to eliminate Ishaha, his intuition warned him that doing nothing might actually be more advantageous.
For the first time, Luo Shu's reasoning and intuition offered opposing answers.
This plunged him into brief conflict, during which he faintly sensed a foreign power entering his domain.
The energy was exceptionally weak—like a candle flame flickering in a cold wind—giving Luo Shu the impression he could extinguish it with a mere thought.
This was the great Demon God Vassago?
Having missed his window to act and allowed an unknown presence to invade the Astronomy Club, Luo Shu's initial tension gave way to bemusement.
Because he could tangibly feel the disparity between himself and the Demon God Vassago. Right now, he could practically scoff and say, "How dare a mere glowworm vie with the moon?"
'No no no, Luo Shu, you mustn't be so careless. The true power doesn't belong to you.'
Rather, it was Luo Shu's will combined with the Astronomy Club's spatial force that overwhelmed Vassago.
And here, the club's spatial power far exceeded Luo Shu's personal will, rendering him almost an accessory.
'So I'm just the free gift with the purchase?'
Despite this self-deprecating thought, Luo Shu remained completely at ease.
After all, even if it was external power, it still belonged to him, didn't it?
Whether he could defeat this so-called Demon God Vassago in the real world was one matter. But within this space, Luo Shu felt confident enough to boast he could take on ten of them.
Meanwhile, the will of Demon God Vassago descended from distant realms upon Ishaha's location. Immediately perceiving the situation, it granted her the requested knowledge in accordance with her plea.
Visibly, Luo Shu witnessed with his own eyes how Vassago read knowledge and bestowed it upon Ishaha, while also receiving the information transmitted by Vassago.
'An ancient god's divine kingdom? The space opened by the Astronomy Club is the so-called divine kingdom?'
'Speaking of which, does a divine kingdom in this world really require a deity to spend money to use its functions? Why do I feel the system's initial claim of being the 'Master of the Divine Pantheon' was just a scam title?'
Just as Luo Shu was mentally complaining about this...
The Demon God Vassago unilaterally declared severing ties with Ishaha.
But blacklisting Ishaha didn't stop the knowledge infusion—in fact, its actions were quite the opposite.
In that instant, a chaotic deluge of information poured furiously into Ishaha's consciousness.
With a thud!
Ishaha's insectoid body stiffened bit by bit from the unbearable information overload before collapsing limply onto the white floor tiles.
She was dead.
Death by mental collapse.
After killing Ishaha, Vassago's will gazed deeply at the sky, as if locking eyes with Luo Shu, who overlooked it from above.
It seemed as though Vassago wanted to engage Luo Shu—this ancient god standing within the divine kingdom—in a battle between deities.
Yet in reality, Luo Shu had already noticed Vassago secretly severing its connection to its main body, actively plunging itself into oblivion.
This so-called 'final struggle' was merely a facade to cut losses and survive.
Understanding this, Luo Shu smirked. He didn't interfere with Vassago's disconnection but instead mobilised the divine kingdom's power to actively sever the link, denying it any chance to relay information back to its main body.
Though Luo Shu was utterly inept at practically wielding the divine kingdom's power, the kingdom responded to his expectations perfectly, accomplishing the intended task flawlessly.
Vassago, attempting to retreat covertly, suddenly froze mid-action, its will instantly lapsing into unconsciousness.
Then, an intangible wind began swirling slowly through the space. At its centre, a rhombus-shaped blue gem silently formed before vanishing into the space Luo Shu had reconfigured.
After this, Luo Shu glanced at Mira Tsubakihara, who was warily eyeing Ishaha's corpse, and said softly:
"It's alright now."
Hearing this familiar voice, Mira—who had been alarmed by Ishaha's sudden collapse—finally relaxed and asked quietly:
"What just happened? Ishaha's final words gave me a very uneasy feeling."
Mira still remembered Ishaha's last roar—unintelligible yet solemn and commanding. She vaguely sensed it was something extremely dangerous.
"Heh."
Luo Shu chuckled deliberately nonchalantly, and replied:
"She was trying to summon a demon, unaware that the demon she sought to summon didn't want to answer her call."
"After all, that would have meant the summoned demon being suppressed by me as well."
To reassure her, Luo Shu didn't explain that Ishaha had attempted to summon a Demon God, simply calling it a demon and stating it had been suppressed.
'Come to think of it, a Demon God should still count as a type of demon, right?'
Mira nodded in realisation while inwardly noting:
Luo Shu's tone seems slightly different now—more confident, more authoritative.
Mira Tsubakihara shook her head slightly, dispelling the chaotic thoughts, and looked down at the insect-like corpse on the ground before asking:
"So this bug-like thing..."
Before she could finish, Luo Shu's gentle voice echoed in her mind:
"Keep it as a collectable. Perhaps you could try using it to craft some tools."
"If you find the right method, you might be able to harness its power to manifest certain abilities."
"Consider whether you can uncover that method as a form of training from me."
"I understand." Mira Tsubakihara suddenly realised, then paused before speaking softly, "...Luo Shu, you've saved me again."
Hearing this, Luo Shu hesitated briefly, scrutinised Mira Tsubakihara for a moment, and then said:
"Wait for me to return."
As the words faded, Mira Tsubakihara clearly sensed Luo Shu's consciousness departing.
Yet she felt no disappointment—only intense curiosity as she examined the translucent, crystalline worm on the floor.
Her gaze drifted toward the nearby lab bench, her tone inscrutable as she murmured:
"A demon's corpse, huh..."
