Chapter 389 - MTT Chapter 389 : Rescuing Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

A minute later, Toneri Ōtsutsuki still hadn't moved.

He must have passed out.

Ryōsuke had no intention of killing him.

Now, it was time to get down to business.

He flew straight up into the air, gathering a massive amount of chakra.

At the same time, he sensed for Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's presence.

He could only feel a faint trace of it.

But that was enough.

"Wind Style: Severing Slash."

An impossibly massive blade of wind materialized in front of him and shot directly toward the moon.

The wind blade effortlessly sliced the moon in half, leaving a perfectly smooth cut.

Ryōsuke darted straight down through the fissure toward the core, searching for Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's whereabouts.

Upon reaching the core, he quietly focused on Kaguya's chakra signature.

His previous attack had been slightly off the mark, missing the exact center of the moon.

Because Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was undoubtedly sealed right in the center.

From this vantage point, Ryōsuke could clearly pinpoint Kaguya's location.

She was just a short distance away from him.

He reached out and began digging through the core's solid rock.

Having acquired the Iron Balloon physique, his body, when unleashing its full power, was far harder than steel.

The tough rock crumbled as easily as tofu beneath his dragon-like grip, and a tunnel quickly took shape.

Not far down the passage, he discovered a woman with pale skin and bluish-white hair.

She was dressed in white robes adorned with black tomoe patterns.

She looked rather unwell, her complexion incredibly haggard.

Was this not Kaguya Ōtsutsuki?

The strongest woman in the entire shinobi world.

Sensing someone approaching, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki weakly opened her eyes, revealing a pair of pure white pupils.

She was somewhat startled. *'This person also possesses the Rinnegan. Just who is he?'*

*'It isn't the chakra signature of an Ōtsutsuki, but rather that of a human.'*

*'There's even a faint sense of familiarity to it.'*

Ryōsuke noticed her gaze and simply scooped her up into his arms.

"I'm here to rescue you. I'll get you out of here right now."

He turned and walked back toward the tunnel he had just created.

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's face was filled with confusion.

*'Am I being rescued?'*

A hint of excitement stirred in her heart.

*'I've been trapped here for far too long.'*

Carrying Kaguya, Ryōsuke emerged onto the surface and immediately took to the sky.

He looked down at the moon, which was now split in two.

He then molded a small black sphere in his hands and tossed it toward the center of the moon.

He activated Planetary Devastation once more.

The two hemispheres were drawn back together, sealing tightly.

The ground trembled violently.

However, since this was the moon, it wouldn't affect anyone.

After all, the Earth couldn't do without its moon.

Having finished his task, he opened a portal and leaped through it with Kaguya in his arms.

Meanwhile, on the moon, Toneri Ōtsutsuki struggled to his feet, having finally regained consciousness.

Feeling the intense tremors shaking the ground, his already pale face turned completely ashen.

He realized that the intruder from Earth had actually succeeded in rescuing Kaguya.

*'How could such a powerful individual emerge from Hamura's descendants? He's so many times stronger than me... I didn't even have the strength to fight back.'*

*'He even stole my destined wife. What a despicable bastard.'*

Even his puppet had been destroyed.

He could sense that the man had awakened the Rinnegan—an opponent he had absolutely no hope of matching.

His heart was filled with utter despair.

He simply couldn't win.

On the other side, Ryōsuke arrived directly at the Night Manor, still carrying Kaguya.

Naturally, a house had been set aside specifically for her. He immediately ordered the servants to prepare and deliver some delicious food, along with a clean set of clothes.

Inside the room, Kaguya gazed out at the earthly scenery with a look of deep nostalgia.

*'If I'm not mistaken, this must be Earth.'*

*'It truly has been a long time since I last returned.'*

*'Those two unfilial sons of mine must have perished by now. After all, they weren't true members of the Ōtsutsuki Clan; their lifespans couldn't possibly match mine.'*

She looked at the man standing before her.

"Who are you? Why did you save me?"

Uchiha Ryōsuke smiled.

"I'm Uchiha Ryōsuke. Since I rescued you, you belong to me from now on. Any objections?"

He was actually quite pleased. It seemed this was the real Kaguya, unlike the final boss from the original storyline who was so silent she could barely speak a word.

Kaguya was slightly taken aback by his words. *'Is he trying to claim me as his own?'*

She was left somewhat speechless.

*'This man is an Earthling, isn't he?'*

*'For him to possess a power like the Rinnegan, he must be a descendant of either Hamura or Hagoromo.'*

*'In that case, he is technically my descendant as well.'*

The thought made her feel incredibly bizarre. *'He must be my great-great-great-grandson, removed by who knows how many generations.'*

"I should be your ancestor, and you should be my great-great-great-great-great-grandson. According to your human customs, you shouldn't be harboring such thoughts."

Ryōsuke was dumbfounded. It seemed she was actually right.

He felt like he was being a bit too audacious.

But it didn't really matter. After all, Kaguya was someone from thousands of years ago.

And he was from millennia later. They couldn't possibly be considered direct blood relatives within three generations, so it should be fine.

He looked at Kaguya with a beaming smile.

"That's not a problem. They say an older woman brings a man fortune, so a woman a thousand years older must bring him immortality!"

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was utterly speechless. What twisted logic.

*'To think a descendant would harbor such intentions... Hagoromo and Hamura's lineage has become far too wicked.'*

In truth, she felt rather favorably toward this descendant. At the very least, he had rescued her, unlike those two unfilial sons.

But even so.

She spoke up.

"I will not agree to this."

Ryōsuke, however, just chuckled.

"That's not up to you."

"Of course, for now, just focus on resting and recovering your strength."

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was at a loss for words. Her descendant was incredibly stubborn, and the idea of being conquered by her own progeny was something she simply couldn't accept.

*'This man is also very powerful right now. I really should focus on recovering my body first. Once I do, I'll have the strength to resist.'*

*'Naturally, I must also prepare for the impending crisis.'*

She had been sealed away for thousands of years.

*'Perhaps the main branch has already noticed the anomaly. They might even send someone here. I must grow stronger to deal with them and protect myself—as well as the life of this wicked descendant of mine.'*

Back then, those two unfilial sons had sealed her away without even giving her a chance to explain. Perhaps it was time for her to change her approach.

"You should know my identity, right? I am actually a member of the Ōtsutsuki Clan. I have betrayed them, and it won't be long before they arrive on this planet."

Ryōsuke replied nonchalantly.

"I know that. Your big brother here isn't worried, and you don't need to be either."

"They're just the Ōtsutsuki Clan, after all."

Kaguya felt incredibly weirded out. *'I am your ancestor, yet you actually refer to yourself as my "big brother" to my face? Whose big brother do you think you are?'*

*'What an incredibly arrogant descendant.'*

But now was not the time to dwell on that.

"Don't be too arrogant. You must not underestimate the Ōtsutsuki Clan."

"The Ōtsutsuki Clan is the strongest race in the universe."

"I betrayed them, and they will definitely come. When they do, both of us will be at risk of being purged."

"To deal with them, we must once again have the Ten-Tails absorb the chakra of all living beings on this planet to become the Divine Tree and bear a Chakra Fruit. Only then can we evolve and save our lives."

Thinking of her clan, a trace of fear crept into her heart.

With her current abilities, she wouldn't be able to handle them.

Of course, she also wanted to preserve the life of this descendant.

Even though he was arrogant, he inexplicably gave her a sense of warmth and familiarity.
