"Thank God," he muttered under his breath. He had nothing implicating left in here. If those bastard niggas had tried to snitch on him again, he'd— He stopped himself, jaw tightening as he dragged the door open like it weighed more than it should.

The hinges groaned, a tired creak slicing through the quiet morning. Larry leaned out first, head poking through the narrow crack like a wary cat peering into daylight.

But his expression softened the instant he saw who stood there.

A familiar face. Smile wide, deliberate—like a promo campaign.

He exhaled sharply, a sigh of both relief and irritation escaping him. "Geez," he muttered through gritted teeth, shutting his eyes for a second, letting his shoulders drop.
