The twins' small hands were about to touch the spirit stone in Yin Yue's grasp, but he quickly pulled it back. A frown crossed his face as a holographic screen suddenly appeared before him.
Judging by his siblings' reaction and Li Xanyan's as well, it was clear they couldn't see it. Yin Yue steadied himself and stood up.
"I still don't trust you two, so I'll be taking this spirit stone with me."
Without looking back at their reactions, he hurried into his room. He instructed Li Xanyan to guard the door and make sure no one entered. After confirming the room was empty, he sat down, holding the spirit stone while his eyes shifted to the glowing screen in front of him.
[Do you wish to exchange Low-Quality Spirit Stone?]
He stared at the words for a moment before answering softly, "Yes."
[You have exchanged 1 Low-Quality Spirit Stone for 1 Gacha Point.]
"A gacha?"
He paused, then tried, "Status. That's how they do it, right?"
The strange phenomenon didn't feel completely foreign. It was something straight out of the novels he used to read, where the main character always gained a system to guide them, a cheat that paved the way to power.
System-themed novels were so cliché that even after living in this world for a month, Yin Yue still remembered them vividly. But now, facing one in reality, he found himself shaken. Was he really given a cheat of his own?

"Gacha points and superpowers? So this system is a superpower gacha?" He frowned. "A superpower gacha in a cultivation world? Well... beggars can't be choosers. At least I got something."
Superpowers were different from cultivation. They didn't require Qi or spiritual energy, just mastery of the ability itself. He recalled countless comics where heroes wielded powers effortlessly, without ever training. But in this cultivation world, where immortals could defy death or shatter mountains with a flick of their fingers, he wondered if superpowers could truly compare.
Still, he knew some abilities were strong enough to rival even the mightiest cultivators.
After checking his status, he opened the gacha interface, anticipation bubbling inside him.
The screen dimmed to black. A summoning circle appeared, etched with shifting patterns. Light pulsed within it, changing from gray to purple to gold, then crackling into indigo lightning, until it finally stopped on green. The circle blazed, then burst outward in a brilliant explosion.
Yin Yue flinched instinctively. When he opened his eyes, glowing letters hovered in the air. Beneath them, a shard of light gleamed emerald.
[Uncommon Ability Acquired!]
[Name: Minor Telekinesis]
[Tier: Uncommon (★★)]
— Harness psychic energy to move small objects with your will.
The shard flew into his mind, and in the next instant, knowledge flooded through him. Within seconds, he instinctively understood how to control his new power.
He glanced at a book lying on the ground not far away. The book floated into the air, drifted toward him, and landed neatly in his palm.
A small smile formed on his lips. The feeling was like getting a brand-new car; he could barely contain his excitement. Yin Yue had once thought his days would be aimless, wandering without purpose. But now, everything would change. He had a system, a superpower gacha.
Filled with hope for the future, Yin Yue stood up, eager to show off in front of Li Xanyan.
Li Xanyan was his personal servant. She had been by his side since childhood, and their bond was nothing like that of master and servant. To him, she was family, the only one who had always stood with him. So he trusts her.
'Now that I think about it, if I can move objects without touching them, won't people assume I'm an Immortal? As far as I know, even martial masters can't do this. If I reveal it in front of others, I wonder how they'll react...'
Immortals and martial masters were two completely different beings, like an ant compared to Godzilla. Martial masters pursued the refinement of their bodies when they failed to become Immortals, while Immortals harnessed the qi of heaven and the world. Both paths required immense talent. That was why Yin Yue was overjoyed at obtaining a superpower; it was like a shortcut that set him apart.
Yin Yue smirked as he saw Li Xanyan standing outside. His gaze shifted to the sword at her waist. The blade trembled, then floated into the air before landing in his hand under her shocked stare.
"Young master... what did you just do?"
"Well..." He was about to boast about his new power because sometimes it always felt good to show off, when Li Xanyan suddenly dropped to her knees.
"So you are an Immortal master! Forgive me for being so casual in your presence! I didn't realize I was speaking so freely to an Immortal... please forgive me, young master!"
She slammed her forehead to the ground.
Yin Yue froze. He had expected some kind of reaction, of course, but not one this extreme. Immortals were revered as gods by mortals, and even martial masters treated them with awe. Still, given their years of friendship, Yin Yue thought Li Xanyan might be surprised, maybe even impressed... but not to this exaggerated degree.
Her reaction sparked an idea in his mind. Maybe he could use this small power to acquire more spirit stones. After all, the clan collected them to honor Immortals, and wasn't he one now?
'But I have to be careful. I can only move small things. Even if I tried using it to attack, I don't know if it would harm a martial artist. I should test the limits first.'
His thoughts were interrupted when he realized Li Xanyan was still kneeling. After calming her down, he explained that he was secretly an Immortal because an old man had visited him in a dream, recognizing his talent and teaching him a cultivation technique.
Li Xanyan was speechless at his words. Her eyes glimmered with shock and reverence.
Of course, Yin Yue hadn't told her the truth. Even though he considered her family, some secrets had to remain hidden. The superpower gacha system was a secret he intended to carry to the grave.
Li Xanyan followed closely behind Yin Yue, her gaze fixed on his back. She still couldn't believe that the boy she had served since childhood would one day become an Immortal. Her view of him had already begun to change.
'I wonder how the clan head and the elders would react if he knew the young master was secretly an Immortal... If that's true, then maybe we wouldn't need to depend on the Immortal House anymore...'
Countless thoughts spun in her mind, unknown to Yin Yue, whose focus lay elsewhere.
"Young master, where are we going?" Li Xanyan asked.
"To the training grounds," Yin Yue replied. He wanted to test the limits of his superpower. He knew it was weak. Minor Telekinesis could only move small objects, but if he could control a sword, then what exactly counted as "small"?
Since his telekinesis worked best with objects he could wield as weapons, Yin Yue decided he needed to adapt. With weapons, even a weak ability could become terrifying. He pictured himself surrounded by countless blades, raining them down on his enemies like a human Gilgamesh.
The training grounds were packed with guards and clan soldiers practicing martial arts. As Yin Yue walked in, countless eyes turned toward him. Their gazes held surprise, shock, disgust, mockery, and, in some, respect.
Those who showed respect were the ones who understood the gap in status between them and the young master.
"Go on, don't mind me..." Yin Yue said with a small smile, waving casually.
He was already used to those looks. Even in another world, human nature remained the same.
He headed toward a secluded corner, then ordered Li Xanyan to bring him various weapons. When she returned, carrying a bundle of blades and spears, whispers spread among the onlookers.
"I wonder what the young master is planning to do?"
"Is he practicing with weapons?"
"Training with weapons? Tsk... doesn't he know his own limits?"
"Trying to prove himself again, huh?"
"Careful. If we mock the young master, aren't we mocking the clan itself?"
"..."
Li Xanyan shook her head with a sigh.
'I pity them. They don't know the young master is an Immortal.' Her eyes swept over the crowd, committing every face to memory like names on the death list. 'I should remember their faces... If young master ever decides to take revenge, I'll know exactly who to point out.'
