The Favourite Glossary

This section provides an overview of the novel's worldbuilding. Much of it will be revealed naturally as the story progresses, and it represents only a fraction of the many hierarchies that shape the broader multiverse. While it includes a few mild spoilers, none are significant enough to ruin one's immersion.

❖ A Favourite

A Favourite is a person who has awakened their potential and can cultivate both in the real world and through the system interface. Their primary discipline is dual cultivation, and they have the system's assistance to guide their progress. Favourites utilise life essence as a source of power.

❖ Original Cultivation

From the far reaches of the past, through the ever-changing present, and into the observable future, mortals with spiritual roots could walk down this path. Original cultivators utilise spiritual energy as a source of power.

❖ The Favourite Pathway

There are 13 established ranks of the favourite pathway—6 ranks of mortal shedding and 7 ranks of divinity. Due to the nature and varying qualities between human variants and beasts, the system initially provided two naming systems—one for Beasts and the other for human variants, each with 13 ranks and equal powers to their counterparts. But some races didn't like the naming and downplayed what they had become by utilising the beast rank naming.

❖ Soul Cores

❖ Awakening Potential

Beasts who have awakened their bloodline purity but have yet to take the 1st steps are known as Favourites. The title remains throughout their ascension, regardless of their ranks. Ultimately, even a God king is still called a favourite.

When human variants awaken their bloodline purity, they officially become known as sluts. That is, no matter the rank, a human variant will inevitably attain, once a slut... always a slut.

For example.

An Unchaste is still considered a slut, so is the Passion Spirit slut or an Eros Sovereign Slut.

But at the end of the day, regardless of being a slut or a beast, all cultivators of the Favourite Discipline are known as Favourites, and the system acknowledges it.

❖ Human Variants

In the Favourite Multiverse, there are over 700 million races, including species with human-like appearances, who are known as human variants, at least that is what the humans call them, due to slight differences in their anatomy. But other races don't consider humans a worthy benchmark. Examples of human variants include Elves and Dwarfs.

❖Beasts

These are non-human variants that exist across the multiverse. They have three further classifications.

➢ Wild beasts

➢ Magical beasts and

➢ Favourite beasts

❖ Wild beasts

These are normal untamed beasts, without any form of cultivation. There's one exception.

NB: (The one exception) Sometimes people refer to wild beasts as all magical and Favourite beasts that are found in their natural habitat and haven't been tamed.

❖Magical Beasts

➢ Qi Beast

➢ Foundation Beast

➢ Core formation Beast

➢ Nascent Beast

❖ Favourite Beast

These are beasts who have awakened their favourite potential. They have three further classifications based on their evolutionary sequence. Also known as Classes.

➢ Newborn Beast

➢ Lesser Beast

➢ Emergent Beast

❖ Newborn Beasts

These are the least developed among favourite beasts. They have limited intelligence and can never reach any of the seven ranks of divinity unless they evolve into lesser beasts... which is rare and very difficult to accomplish. Unlike human variants, who become Favourites through dual cultivation, they depend solely on one elemental law comprehension.

For Example: A beast that controls only water elemental laws.

❖ Lesser Beasts

These are more intelligent than the newborns, and their intelligence is no less than that of any other human variant. They can walk up the seven ranks of divinity, but are limited to their beast form. Unlike human variants, who become Favourites through dual cultivation, they depend solely on multiple elemental law comprehension.

For Example: A Favourite beast that can control water, earth and wood elemental laws.

❖ Emergent Beasts

These are at the pinnacle of all Favourite Beasts. Their intelligence is on par with human variants, and they can cultivate both ways—dual cultivation and through law comprehension. After reaching maturity, they can transform seamlessly between their beast form and their human variant form.
