Snowball carefully placed the fragment on the ground.
The small piece of crystal-like energy rested quietly against the forest floor.
Snowball stared at it.
"This fragment only belongs to me."
As if responding to his words, the fragment suddenly pulsed. A faint golden glow spread across the ground.
The grass beneath it began to shimmer and golden light traveled between the roots of the trees, illuminating the surrounding forest.
Snowball's ears twitched. He immediately raised one tiny paw. "Stop."
The moment he spoke, everything froze.
The golden light stopped in midair.
The leaves hanging from the branches became completely motionless.
The wind disappeared.
The entire forest had become trapped in silence.
Snowball slowly walked toward the fragment. His tiny paws pressed against the frozen grass as he approached it. He stopped directly in front of the glowing piece.
"Now..." His golden and crimson eyes narrowed. "I can finally return this."
