Aira was so distracted by her thoughts that she failed to notice the elf had stopped walking.
She continued forward and bumped directly into his back.
"Ow!"
The elf turned around."What are you doing?"
Aira rubbed her forehead. You stopped!"
"You're already too old. You should know how to watch yourself and pay attention."
The elf looked at her for a moment. Then he turned away snobbishly.
Aira muttered under her breath. "This elf is difficult despite being so handsome." She looked around. Only then did she realize that they had already arrived at the center of the forest. And standing before them was the largest tree Aira had ever seen.
Her mouth slowly fell open. The tree was enormous. Its trunk was so wide that several houses could probably fit around it. Its branches stretched far into the sky, disappearing behind layers of glowing leaves.
