Listening to them talk, Alex let it go in one ear and out the other, seeming a bit bored.
Just then, Alex took out his phone and checked Navia's stats.
Navia, female. Race: ? Faction: Fontaine, Spina di Rosula. Vision: Geo. Level: 20/20. Constellation: 0.
Oh, Navia's level isn't as high as I imagined. She could one-shot small monsters before.
Holy moly, this must be a stat monster, Alex thought for a moment and then understood. After all, the skill multipliers for Geo and Anemo are both higher than other elements!
"Haha, of course," Navia laughed brightly, then added, "Sister, you just said you were missing some materials, right? Leave it to me! Our Spina di Rosula will help you solve this problem."
"Thank you then," Chiori said in a cool voice.
At this, both Damselettes suddenly stopped and looked at Alex.
Alex clenched his right hand, putting away his phone. "Oh, you're done talking, so are you ready to go?"
"Yes," Chiori nodded faintly.
"Then I'll see you off," Navia said, standing up first.
The three of them didn't linger and slowly left the house.
After seeing them to the Teleport Waypoint at the entrance, Navia stopped and began waving goodbye. "See you next time, my companions!"
"Wait, don't be in such a hurry!" Alex directly raised his hand to stop him.
"Huh?" Navia looked over, puzzled.
Even Chiori didn't know what else Alex had in mind.
"Excuse me, Sister Navia, are you free? Shall we go out and stretch our muscles?" Alex extended one hand towards Navia.
"Uh..." Chiori on the side immediately understood. He wanted to drag another person to fight monsters again.
Navia slowly said, "Me? I'm not that busy right now..."
"That's great!" Alex cheered, then began to ponder, "Let me think, what can we fight..."
Hmm, he didn't need to farm artifacts anymore, and today's Ley Line Outcrops were done.
As for bosses, there was no need to fight the Hydro Tulpa either.
Think fast! What else can we fight?
As Alex thought, two dancing Clockwork Mekas, Bosses, suddenly popped into his mind.
"I know! Let's go check the Opera House, we should be able to fight there!" Alex's eyes lit up.
"Let's go!" Navia said, officially joining the party.
Then, Alex simply touched each person's shoulder, and the three of them instantly arrived at the Teleport Waypoint in front of the Opera House.
"Wow!" Navia couldn't help but exclaim.
So Alex led the two straight ahead, then turned right at Lucine Fountain, reaching a large sports plaza at the end.
In the middle of a vast circular open space, two mechanisms danced non-stop.
The surrounding stands, capable of holding at least ten thousand people, were empty at the moment, looking very desolate.
A young man turned around, a camera set up beside him as if he was filming.
Seeing the three approaching, he began to greet them. "Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, ladies and gentlemen."
His greeting made the three of them speechless. It was the first time they'd seen someone say all that to greet people.
"I am Maillardet, a researcher from the Fontaine Academy of Sciences. I presume the three of you are also here for the 'Icewind Suite,'" the researcher named Maillardet began to introduce himself.
Seeing their interest, Maillardet continued to explain.
"According to Mr. Bossuet's original plan, Coppelius and Coppelia were Clockwork Mekas specialized in dance."
"However, after I took over this project, I also incorporated my understanding of Ousia and Pneuma energy."
Hearing this, Alex suddenly interrupted, "Wait, Ousia and Pneuma!?"
"Yes! Ousia and Pneuma, two types of energy," Maillardet nodded, not understanding why he was so surprised.
Heavens! He hadn't thought about this at all before!
Fontaine characters indeed have both Ousia and Pneuma attributes, but Alex didn't know who had which attribute yet!
Among the three, only Navia was from Fontaine and had an additional Ousia or Pneuma attribute. "Navia, are you Ousia or Pneuma?"
"Me? I should be Pneuma!" Navia pointed to himself and then affirmed.
Maillardet saw the three in silence and began to explain again. "Thus, as you can see, Coppelius and Coppelia are not only skilled in dance but also formidable in combat."
"However... I think there's still a lot of room for improvement. To further enhance their combat capabilities, a large number of experimental data samples are needed."
"I accidentally put too much enthusiasm into the development phase... Based on the difference in Ousia and Pneuma attributes, I created two combat modes for Coppelius and Coppelia."
"They are 'Coppelia's Refrain' and 'Nemesis of Coppelius.' This means we need twice the research data samples!"
"As long as we can iterate successfully, the joy of project success will also be doubled, right?"
"So, would you like to try challenging them?" Maillardet rarely saw three people in front of him all with a Vision. This was a perfect testing opportunity!
He purposely told them so much because he wanted them to help him test!
"Of course, sir!" Alex nodded.
Maillardet smiled. "So, do you want to challenge 'Coppelia's Refrain' or 'Nemesis of Coppelius' first?"
Alex leaned close to Maillardet, putting his arm around his shoulder. Seeing him look over strangely, Alex clenched his right fist in front of his eyes and said, "I want them all!"
"Uh... it's like this, no matter which mode you choose, both mechanisms will attack together. Unfortunately, we cannot activate both modes simultaneously yet," Maillardet explained, shaking his head.
"Oh? You mean we can only switch between two modes in combat? It's a pity we can't activate them simultaneously." Alex thought he could fight both at once and get double the different materials after coming here.
"Yes, otherwise the system settings would constantly malfunction, as they are two different operating modes!" Maillardet actually wanted to activate them simultaneously too, but this was a major problem that currently couldn't be solved.
"Alright, I think I understand! Then let's challenge the male dancer first!"
"Okay, I'll activate 'Nemesis of Coppelius' for you right away," Maillardet said, beginning to operate, then smiled at Alex. "Alright, you can now enter the arena and challenge them anytime!"
"Uh..." Alex looked at Chiori and Navia. He, plus the two Damselettes, made only three people, not enough for four. They had just barely managed to get a double Geo team!
If possible, Alex really wanted to pull another person over.
Preferably Hydro! That way, they could have double Hydro and double Geo!
