The wind breezed gently through the green plains of Calebran Fields the land of the Whitebane house within the Veildros Continent,
this land is also a vital trading route for all the merchants across the Lucent realm.
Dan, the firstborn of House Whitebane, had been tracking a musk deer since morning.
He moved carefully, looking for the perfect shot. His father had taught him to aim for the deer vital spots to make a clean, ethical harvest and to keep the hide undamaged.
Dan crouched low, focused his aim on the lower chest, just behind the deer's front legs.
If he could strike the heart, the deer would fall quickly from blood loss.
He holds his breath, nocked an arrow onto the bowstring, firmly gripping the bow and slowly drawing the string.
He aims for the heart, and in one single motion he released his finger, at the same time he keeps his body steady during the shot and gets ready for a follow-through.
The first arrow hit his target right straight to the deer's chest striking the heart and knocking the deer down immediately. But regardless of this remarkable hunt, there are no sign of celebration or happiness on Dan's face.
Dan was born with an alexithymia which distant him to human emotions, this condition makes it difficult for him to express and understand emotions.
Dan immediately runs to his prey, upon checking the deer's body laying down on its own blood, he readies his skinning knife and begun carving the deer.
After removing the pelt and hooves he tucked it in on his satchel bag and carry the deer as his trophy, the deer is heavy but luckily the manor was not far.
Dan tied the body for handhold and the body slipped easily over the fields.
