Chapter 2 - An unknown message

That day, I quietly slipped into the back bench—my safe corner, my comfort zone. Backbenchers always notice things others don't.

A girl suddenly appeared beside me.

"Hey! Can we be friends?" she asked with a warm smile.

I tilted my head, gave her a pretty glance, and replied,

"Yeah, sure."

Before I could say more, the teacher entered.

"Introduce yourself," he ordered.

I stood up, my voice steady as I said my name. That's when it happened. I caught him staring—that boy. His lips curved into a strange, knowing smile. My chest tightened, and I looked away immediately, pretending not to notice. But my heart was already racing.

Tiffin break came. The classroom emptied. Yet… he didn't move. He just sat there. Staring. Unblinking. Like he was waiting for something.

Then the class monitor came to me.

"I'll add you to our WhatsApp group. Give me your number."

I handed it over casually. But only minutes later, my pulse froze. That boy—the one who hadn't taken his eyes off me—got up and whispered something to the monitor. I saw him. I saw the way his hand moved. He was asking for my number.

When I picked up my phone after the break, my screen lit up.

Unknown Number:Hey! How are you?

My fingers went cold.

How the hell did he—?

I typed back, anger bubbling in my chest.

"I've never seen a fucking boy like you."

Almost instantly, I took a screenshot. Then… I blocked him.

I told myself it was over. Done. Finished.

But that night, at 12:03 AM, my phone lit up again—

Unknown Number:"Block me once, block me forever… but you can't escape me."

To be continued...
