"I'm worried about you, June. Can't you see that I'm trying to protect you?" Carlos asked in frustration. He was simply trying to look out for her.
To him, Luigi was just messing with June, and he wanted her to see it from his perspective. He loved her, always have, and didn't want her to get hurt.
"Cut it out already, Carlos. I'm a grown woman. What makes you think you can tell me what to do?" June picked her bag, ready to leave but Carlos suddenly held her right hand tightly.
Her hand was already acting up due to the stress, and now that he was exerting force on her wrist, June was having unbearable pains in her hand.
"You are hurting me, Carlos. Let go!" June tried to get away, and he tightened his grip on her.
"June, I love you. Listen, I know I hurt you in the past, but if you give me another chance, I promise to make things right." Carlos pushed June against the wall as he spoke.
