Back then, I wouldn't deny that I was drawn to Mr. Tristan Benjamin too. Every woman in the office—hell, every woman who met him—was captivated by his striking looks, polished demeanor, and impressive position.
I also sensed that Tristan felt the same pull toward me. Countless times, he seemed ready to voice something deeply personal, only to retreat at the last moment.
I experienced the same hesitation. My pulse would race whenever Tristan fixed me with that heated stare. He reserved those looks for moments when we were completely alone.
Tristan couldn't hide his flash of jealousy whenever I brought up having a husband.
