Chapter 346 - Chapter 346 My Teacher's Name is Will

"Reboot—"

Lorne whispered this unfamiliar term.

He was certain he had never heard the word before, but for some reason, he felt a strange sense of familiarity from it, as if it originated from the depths of his soul—

However—high-level Mystical Items, I do have them.

That poker card's level definitely isn't low. Moreover, a "blasphemy card" is hidden inside, plus the mystical item box and the Antigonus Family's notebook—Lorne suddenly realized he really had quite a few treasures in his hands.

And "teacher"—what did he mean by that? Why was he so certain that I had a teacher?

Lorne understood that the other party likely wasn't referring to a teacher like Sharon, who only taught basic mysticism, but a true master-disciple relationship involving a legacy.

The evil spirit before him had been dead for at least several thousand years; the people he knew were likely all old Monsters who had lived for untold ages—

Could it be—Will Auceptin? Is that guy's seniority really that high?

Watching Lorne fall into a brief silence, the corner of Medici's mouth curled into an imperceptible arc.

"Medici, what do you mean? Is there something wrong with this kid?" Sauron's voice rang directly in his mind.

"Yeah, why couldn't I see anything?" Einhorn followed up with a question.

"That's because you two are idiots," Medici mocked in his mind without hesitation.

"You!"

"Use those non-existent brains of yours and think carefully—"

"He was wearing that monocle just now, yet nothing happened to him at all—"

"The 'Monster' Pathway, someone on good terms with Amon... besides that big snake, there's only one person—

"

"Joss?!" Sauron and Einhorn exclaimed simultaneously.

"Who else could it be but him!"

"But hasn't he completely broken off with Amon since the fourth epoch?"

"Solomon even tried to recruit him back then, and he was on good terms with Jacob and Zoroast."

"Idiots! Those two guys, him and Amon, have hundreds of schemes between them. Who knows if their fallout was real or fake!"

"As for Solomon—they were only cooperating on the surface—Hmph—Joss has always been dissatisfied with the status Solomon gave him."

"He said it himself back then: if they wouldn't even give him the title of Grand Duke, why should he work himself to death for Solomon!"

"Solomon also, to some extent, had misgivings about Joss's influence—in a way, that wasn't wrong."

"How do you know so much?" Sauron couldn't help but ask.

"Hmph, I know much more than you two fools," Medici said disdainfully. "I started working with him at the beginning of the third epoch. Our friendship isn't something you can understand."

"Tch, well, I didn't see him coming to help you in the end. Besides, his relationship with the 'True Creator' wasn't exactly good," Sauron retorted bluntly.

"I feel like you're hiding a lot of things, Medici," Einhorn suddenly interjected.

"Hmph, I'll say what I want; there's no need to hide anything from you!"

"You mean—this kid's teacher is Joss?" Einhorn asked again.

"Didn't he take in a kid from the 'Corpse Collector' Pathway before—"

"It's quite normal for him to take one from the same Pathway now."

"Is it possible—that he IS Joss?" Sauron suddenly spoke up.

"Idiots! How could that be possible! Although this kid is a bit special, he's not even a demigod—I only asked him about 'Reboot' simply to test him."

Just then, Lorne looked up.

"I don't know anything about 'Reboot', but—"

"Will Auceptin." His lips moved slightly as he slowly uttered a name.

"Do you know him?"

"Ah—is he your teacher?" Medici was slightly stunned.

Lorne didn't answer directly, only nodding.

"Who is Will Auceptin? I don't seem to have any impression of him at all—" Sauron muttered in his mind.

"Me neither."

"I seem to—have heard of it somewhere—" Medici wasn't too sure either.

The name didn't sound like it was made up on the spot—

The long passage of time, combined with his state as a remnant soul rather than his original body, had caused him to forget too much 'unimportant' information; besides, when he fell, Will wasn't famous yet.

"Kid, don't try to trick me." Medici decided to bluff again, a cold smile appearing on his face. "There's no such person!"

"There is."

"Although I'm not exactly his real student, I do know Will Auceptin, and he is indeed a high-Sequence powerhouse of the 'Fate' Pathway." Lorne's tone was incredibly sincere.

He knew that in front of such an old Monster, a perfect lie was difficult, so he used a half-truth approach.

"High-Sequence—how high?" Medici pressed.

"Well—very high—" Lorne rested his finger against his chin, recalling the scene he had seen in his dream. "A snake, a massive silver snake."

"Snake of Fate—" Medici frowned slightly. The development of things seemed a bit different from what he had expected.

The kid didn't seem to be lying. Could he have really misjudged?

"That monocle, where did you get it from?" He changed the question, trying to find a breakthrough.

Hmm—Lorne thought for a moment, feeling that this evil spirit might know something.

"I took it from a mausoleum."

"The Amon Family's?"

"Close enough."

"Does that Will Auceptin know about this?" Medici asked.

"He does."

"Hahaha!" Hearing this, Medici suddenly burst into loud laughter, which echoed through the empty tomb. "You're lying! If your teacher knew about this, it would be impossible for him not to warn you to be careful of Amon!"

"How could he possibly let you walk around in public wearing a monocle!"

Lorne's expression changed slightly, but he quickly adjusted.

"Is it possible that my teacher, Will Auceptin, is so powerful that he's not afraid of Amon at all?"

"Ha!" Not only could Medici not help himself, but even Sauron and Einhorn couldn't hold it in.

"Hahahaha!"

"Even the big snake—no, even true gods are wary of Amon's abilities. How could that Will Auceptin not care at all!"

While Medici was feeling smug, Lorne suddenly asked, "So, that's why you were so wary of me at the beginning."

"Because you're also very afraid of Amon."

"Uh—" Medici's laughter stopped abruptly, looking a bit awkward.

"I'm not afraid of that guy!"

"In any case, you're lying! I've already seen through it!"

"Fine—" Lorne shrugged and admitted frankly, "I do know Will Auceptin. However, I did hide some parts."

"But so what?"

No normal person would reveal all their secrets to an evil spirit of unknown origin upon their first meeting, right?

"You have quite a talent for being a 'Provoker'," Medici whispered, though it was unclear if it was praise or sarcasm. Then, without further nonsense, he raised his hand and snapped his fingers sharply.

Whoosh!

The crimson flames around Raunte, whom he was possessing, instantly flared up!

"Watch out!" Sharon was the first to react, immediately blowing a cold wind mixed with ice crystals toward Raunte's direction.

The snow and flames collided violently, instantly erupting into thick white smoke that obscured everyone's vision.

The moment the flames flared up, "Premonition of Disaster" was triggered.

Lorne's body instinctively lunged to the side, dodging a searing crimson pillar of fire that shot out from the smoke.

This guy is playing for keeps!

Lorne's face darkened. He reached into his coat and had just pulled out two bottles of holy water when he saw a figure rushing toward him at high speed!

It was Raunte!

"Damn it!" Lorne immediately mobilized his spirituality.

"Mental Storm!" A successful hit.

No!

He didn't react at all; he had already fainted! The evil spirit—wasn't in his body!

Could it be!

"Haha! I found you!"

Lorne turned decisively, pulled out his gun, and fired a shot at the illusory red figure that had appeared behind him at some unknown moment!

The bullet passed through the evil spirit's body without any resistance. Medici frowned slightly but still laughed.

"If you kill me, Will Auceptin will come to avenge me!" Lorne raised his gun again, continuing to use Will's name.

"It's fine, the big snake will avenge me," Medici said with an indifferent look.

"He doesn't even know you're trapped here," Lorne countered.

"But he'll follow that Will and find me."

Damn it! Lorne cursed inwardly. Why did it feel like Will Auceptin's name had no deterrent power at all? Wasn't he a high-Sequence powerhouse? Why did it seem like no one was afraid of him?

"Don't be so excited—" Medici did not continue his attack.

"It seems you have quite a few secrets—"
