Andrew sized him up and down, saying, "This script is wrong. With your demeanor, you should pretend to be chased or to be chasing someone, then point a gun at my head and tell me to drive immediately."
"..."
Fire Fox was completely bewildered. What in the world was this?
Speaking of which, Fire Fox's initial idea was similar to what Andrew said, but Mystique warned her that pointing a gun at Andrew's head was very dangerous. Someone almost got killed because of that back then.
So, Fire Fox could only pretend to be a woman trying to pick him up. She said, "If you're interested, I can satisfy your special requests."
"Sorry, I'm not into your type. Goodbye."
At this moment, the traffic light turned green, and Andrew was about to leave. Seeing this, Fire Fox placed her hand on the car door, flipped over, and jumped into the passenger seat. Then, she asked, "You're not into my type, so what type are you into?"
Just as Andrew was about to answer, an explosion and gunshots suddenly erupted ahead. Fire Fox feigned panic and cried out, "Run! There's danger!"
"It seems this isn't a pickup attempt, but rather a way to delay me and prevent me from going to the Rocket Base."
Andrew understood. He stared into Fire Fox's eyes and said, "Let me see what you're planning to do."
Stared at by Andrew's blazing eyes, countless past scenes flashed through Fire Fox's mind. Soon, the scene arrived at the moment Mystique introduced the Sky-based Project to them.
"Sky-based Project?"
Andrew's eyes lit up. Mystique Raven actually had such an idea?
Although it was unlikely for all ten tungsten rods to fall, there was a high probability that one or two would. One rod meant one large City. Wow, how many souls could he collect from that?
To be honest, Andrew was a little touched. Mutant were truly good people, constantly sending souls his way.
People with broad love indeed have good luck.
"What did you do to me?"
Fire Fox recovered and asked Andrew in terror. Andrew said indifferently, "It's nothing serious, just looked at your memory."
"That's not serious?"
Fire Fox asked, a mix of shock and anger on her face. She thought of something and her expression changed: "You know our plan?"
"Look here."
Andrew took out his phone, turned on the flashlight, and flashed Fire Fox. Fire Fox's expression immediately became dazed—her memory was reset to the beginning, meaning she didn't remember Andrew reading her memory.
Then, Andrew thought for a moment and didn't immediately call The Daily Bugle. This matter had to wait to be reported.
Wait for what? Wait for Mystique to enter the Space Station. Whether it was a satellite or a Space Station, it could be shot down. So, he had to wait until Mystique was ready before reporting it.
By then, the deed would be done, and the tungsten rods could be launched at any time. Unless humans wanted a mutually destructive outcome with Mutant, they would never dare to attack the Space Station.
At this moment, Fire Fox recovered from her daze. She heard the gunshots ahead and feigned panic, crying out, "Run! There's danger ahead!"
"You seem to have a problem?"
Andrew glanced at Fire Fox and started the sports car, speeding forward. The act still had to be performed; there always had to be an excuse for not arriving. Besides, Fire Fox and her group had made so many preparations; he couldn't let them go to waste. Andrew was a good Demon King who knew how to be considerate of others.
"What are you doing? It's dangerous ahead."
Fire Fox was a little anxious, pretending to be terrified as she reached for Andrew's hand. Andrew grabbed her wrist and gave a gentle shake. Fire Fox's bones, starting from her arm, vibrated in succession. She let out a very suspicious sound and collapsed, unable to move, into the passenger seat.
"He really is a Kung Fu Master."
Fire Fox was utterly shocked. Andrew smiled slightly and proactively helped Fire Fox fasten her seatbelt, to prevent her from flying out.
Soon, Andrew arrived at the explosion site ahead. He took a look, quickly turned the steering wheel, and cut through a nearby alley.
"Damn it, chase him quickly!"
Seeing this, the Brotherhood immediately dispatched a group of motorcyclists to pursue Andrew.
These motorcyclists were not members of the Brotherhood; they were highly skilled riders hired for money, and they should be able to delay Andrew for a while.
"Fast and Furious? I wonder if those guys exist in this world?"
Andrew smiled, deciding to play with those guys behind him using only his driving skills, without resorting to special abilities.
To be honest, Andrew was an experienced driver. Back in the day, he created countless race tracks in Hell and cleared the highest-level challenges with a tractor.
Fire Fox watched, anxious at heart, but could do nothing. Fortunately, they had made many arrangements in advance, which should be enough to buy them sufficient time.
Andrew, caught up in the excitement, sharply turned the steering wheel, controlling the sports car to tilt and drift. The motorcyclists behind him couldn't make the turn in time and crashed into the wall one after another, sending motorcycle parts flying everywhere.
The commotion caused by the Assassin Brotherhood quickly alerted the New York police, and thus, the car chase grew even larger.
While Andrew was drifting through the streets, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Psylocke arrived at the Rocket Base one after another. Unfortunately, they were too late; the rocket had already roared into the sky, and only a faint shadow could be seen.
Due to limited seating, some Mutant did not board the space shuttle. Led by Mist, they held the base's research personnel hostage and confronted S.H.I.E.L.D., buying enough time for Mystique and her group.
"Break in and find out Mystique and their objective!"
Garrett cursed, then led the Agents in an attack. But the entire base was shrouded in mist, making it difficult for even them to quickly defeat the Mutant.
Psylocke naturally didn't care about such trivial matters. She looked at the rocket in the sky and called Pepper, saying, "One good news, one bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"
Pepper said, "Bad news."
Psylocke said, "Tony has been kidnapped by Mutant and is now flying to the Space Station."
Pepper's face was a little pale. She asked, "Then what's the good news?"
Psylocke said faintly, "The good news is, Tony wasn't tied to the rocket."
"What kind of good news is that?"
Pepper almost smashed her phone. On second thought, it was indeed good news; at least, Tony was still alive.
Pepper cursed and hurriedly arranged to meet Nick Fury, demanding that he protect Tony and not attack the Space Station.
"Are the Mutant never going to stop? Causing trouble every other day? Do they not think humans hate them enough?"
At S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, Nick Fury cursed loudly while skillfully opening his phone. Maria Hill and the other staff members, seeing this, subtly rolled their eyes, pretending not to notice.
Horn TV Station was indeed broadcasting this event, and they broke two major news stories.
"Iron Man Tony Stark Kidnapped Again."
"Senator Kelly was actually impersonated by Mystique Raven, and his supporters were rounded up by Mutant."
"The live broadcast didn't say what the Mutant were planning to do. It seems that mysterious person isn't omniscient either."
Nick Fury was both a little disappointed and relieved. To be honest, that mysterious person had put a lot of pressure on S.H.I.E.L.D. S.H.I.E.L.D. was the largest intelligence agency in the world, yet from the Director down to the employees, they were all watching short videos every day to gather intelligence.
The people in the intelligence department were starting to doubt their lives.
