Chapter 64 - 64

Ah!

Seeing the expo suddenly turn into a battlefield, everyone quickly retreated, but many people didn't leave. They gathered around, filming videos with their phones while watching the spectacle, like Andrew and Howard.

At this moment, Ivan, in the gray armor, shouted at Tony on the stage: "Tony Stark, your Stark Family are all thieves. The Vanko Family has come for revenge."

"Vanko?"

Howard was stunned to hear that. It was his old friend's son seeking revenge on Tony?

"Vanko Family? Never heard of them. And besides, you're the thief; you stole my Arc Reactor."

Tony flew up, raised his left hand, and prepared to fire a pulse cannon at Ivan. Ivan struck Tony's palm with an electric whip, and the muzzle exploded with a pop, emitting a shower of sparks.

"The Arc Reactor belongs to our Vanko Family!"

Ivan roared, swinging his electric whip fiercely at Tony. Tony didn't dare to take the hit head-on, flying to the side to dodge. The stage was split in two by the whip, with a red-hot fracture.

"My opening ceremony!"

Tony was very displeased. Two miniature missiles flew from his back towards Ivan. Ivan swung his whip, detonating the miniature missiles. A powerful blast of air surged, and gasps of surprise erupted from the surroundings.

Tony took the opportunity to quickly ram into Ivan. Ivan backhanded him, sending him flying. Then, he swung his whip, wrapping it around Tony. The electricity caused Tony's control panel to fluctuate.

"Come here!"

Ivan grinned menacingly. As the whip retracted, Tony was involuntarily pulled towards Ivan. Ivan punched him in the faceplate, sending him flying again.

Then, Ivan repeated his trick, pulling Tony over again. Tony accelerated midway, slamming into Ivan with a bang, knocking him to the ground, and relentlessly punching Ivan's faceplate.

Ivan took a few punches, then forcefully flipped Tony over. He got up and fiercely whipped Tony.

Tony rolled to avoid it, and a large number of decoy missiles flew from behind him, exploding on Ivan's faceplate, instantly blinding Ivan.

Tony seized the opportunity to pounce on Ivan. Ivan swung his two whips, firmly binding Tony. Due to the electricity, Tony's system gradually became unstable.

"Tony Stark, your doomsday has arrived!"

Ivan roared, simultaneously controlling his shoulders to eject two missiles. Tony's expression changed. He clenched his fists, somewhat hesitant.

Tony had a recently developed laser device on the back of his hand, which was extremely powerful, capable of cutting even the Iron Man Suit. The problem was that there were too many spectators around, and they could easily be accidentally hit by the laser.

Just as Tony hesitated, a black armor suddenly charged out, ramming Ivan and sending him tumbling on the ground. It was Howard, who, seeing his son in danger, couldn't help but intervene.

"This is a classic case of the father coming after the son has been beaten," Andrew quipped. Speaking of which, Ivan's life experience was quite similar to a novel's protagonist, but unfortunately, he was destined to be a villain, not a protagonist.

Seeing the black armor, Tony asked unhappily, "How did you guys get in? Are Stark Industries's security guards not working?"

"Young man of the Vanko Family, the Arc Reactor was jointly developed by your father and Howard Stark."

Howard ignored Tony. He shouted at the rising Ivan, "Also, Howard didn't betray your father. Driving him away back then was to protect him."

"Protect him? Do you know how my father died? He died of poverty, sick and with no money for treatment. He died poor!"

Ivan shouted furiously, "All of this is because of the Stark Family! I'll make them pay the price!"

"Your father being sick and having no money for treatment, isn't that your own responsibility? You can develop the Iron Man Suit and the Arc Reactor. Is it really that hard to earn money for medicine?"

Tony shouted, "I don't know about the grudges of the previous generation. All I know is that you're a waste."

"It's all your Stark Family's fault!"

Ivan was speechless. He roared, preparing to attack again. Just then, Obadiah's roar came through the comms channel: "Ivan, you lunatic, get out of here quickly!"

Ivan cursed, pulled a bomb from his waist, and threw it into the crowd. Then, he flew straight into the sky, escaping into the distance.

Seeing this, Tony immediately lunged towards the bomb. Then, he threw the bomb forcefully into the sky, where it exploded with a boom.

Tony breathed a sigh of relief. He turned his head and saw that the black armor had vanished. He immediately cursed unhappily. Was that guy a ghost? So elusive.

Next, it was naturally time to clean up the mess. A large number of reporters rushed over to interview Tony. Tony ignored them and walked towards Andrew, who was preparing to leave.

Seeing Andrew, Tony felt a bit awkward. After all, he had originally planned to show off in front of him, but ended up being beaten and sent flying all over the place.

Tony got straight to the point: "Mr. Wang, who can breathe fire and knows kung fu, I want to buy your Rebirth Group's small Space Station."

"You can. Susan will discuss the specific price with you. However, when Dr. Reed goes to the Space Station, two people from Rebirth Group must accompany him. We have a small experiment to conduct."

Andrew nodded. It was time to earn some extra money; acquiring Hammer Industries required a lot of capital.

Additionally, Andrew wasn't very interested in the Space Station. When the time was right, he would establish bases on the Moon and Mars. Robots weren't afraid of harsh environments, after all.

Tony didn't object. He nodded and said, "No problem."

After discussing business, Andrew had no interest in staying longer. He turned and left with Howard. Tony looked displeased. You could at least mock me a little! Ignoring me completely like this really hurts, you know?

Being ignored meant the other party didn't even consider you important.

Just then, a Fat Man ran over, wiping sweat. Tony, with a belly full of unvented anger, saw him and immediately shouted, "Happy, let's talk about today's security issues!"

After scolding Happy, Tony handed over the aftermath to the ever-capable Pepper and returned home to investigate information about the Vanko Family.

"The Arc Reactor was jointly developed by my father and Anton Vanko?"

Tony frowned. Undoubtedly, the previous attacker was Anton Vanko's son, Ivan Vanko.

After some thought, Tony called his good friend Rhode, asking him to help investigate Ivan Vanko and Hammer Industries. His intuition told him there was a connection between them.

Rhode was silent for a moment after receiving the call. A moment later, he said, "Tony, I shouldn't be telling you this, but you're my good friend, and I can't keep it from you. The military chose me to be the pilot for the new armor, the new armor produced by Hammer Industries. In fact, I'm currently at Hammer Industries' warehouse in Flushing. Hammer is planning to exhibit the new armor at the expo."

...

Tony was speechless. He cursed, "You traitor!"

"I'm a soldier. I have to obey orders from above."

Rhode said, "Tony, you're unwilling to hand over the armor to the military, so the military definitely has to find another collaborator. In this matter, the military did nothing wrong."

"Did nothing wrong? Ivan Vanko is not someone to be trifled with. You've all been used by him!"

Tony snorted and said, "Rhode, this matter could cause a huge disaster. You must help me investigate."

Rhode hesitated, then said, "Alright, I'll help you check. Tony, this matter is very sensitive. Don't act rashly. Wait for my call."

"I'll try."

Tony unhappily hung up the phone. Then, he got up to repair his armor—no matter how many other armors there were outside, Tony Stark firmly believed his armor was the best.

Because this armor was created by him, Tony Stark.
