Rain pours down above, as lightning flashes in the black cloudy sky. Roars of thunder rage in the storm's peak, for the long night continues, consumed by the storm's wrath.
Below the cloud is the central region of the city, with the distant parts of it being well lit with illuminated silver skyscrapers and holographic advertisements. However, a large dark patch resides in part of the city, as none of the skyscrapers are lit up, and neither is the ground below. The dark patch is completely silent, as no pods drive through it, for the whole area was evacuated a while ago.
In the center of the dark patch, which is composed of several districts, the massive hole lies within the center of an intersection. On one side of the hole is a metal chrome plate that lies on the dark road, and in front of it sits Meditat on both knees, who's eyes stay on the plate, his torn cape drifting in the wind.
On the other side of the hole is Indra, who levitates off the ground with large yellow arcs coming off his body to maintain himself off the ground. His purple suit is on, with the yellow glow coming from each capacitor, however his hood is off, exposing his human face, which has been made wet from the rain.
Meditat's blue goggles continue to stare soullessly at the plate while Indra hovers in front of him, looking down as he mourns the lives of those which he failed to save.
Indra slowly approaches Meditat while gradually descending past the massive hole. He explains confidently, "Do you see what I mean now? You tried your best, hell you gave more than I thought you had in you. You did everything in your power to save all those people, but in the end, they're simply too weak. Your own power was too overwhelming for them, and it so easily squashed their bodies. You didn't fail Rohan, don't feel bad, really it wasn't your fault. But the people you try to side with are fragile, you can save them from one incident but the very next second they'll be taken by another. I mean it gets to the point where it's like they want to die, hell some of them do, isn't that just...you know...pathetic?"
Meditat's gaze doesn't move from the plate, however he does respond, his voice soft yet restraining a deeply hateful fire.
He states, "I don't know how delusional you have to be to think this, but killing people isn't going to suddenly make me agree with you. If anything I think you're making yourself and your stance look far more unappealing. Please never do that again."
Indra lowers himself down to the ground, his boots touching the ground as he walks forward. He slowly approaches Meditat, seeing him clearly anguished from the incident, and he lets out a soft sigh while rain pours off of his hair.
Indra steps on top of the chrome plate, walking over the remains of the train, and over the destroyed bodies of innocent civilians with seemingly no respect.
He responds in a lighter tone, "Oh Rohan, please don't be like that, I was just showing an example. Really, all those people we just crushed have no meaning, it's like they're not even real. They're like toys and you're getting too immersed with them, you need to relax."
Indra steps off of the plate, and he continues walking on the dark street as he makes his way to Meditat. He stands before the man in the blue suit, and lowers his head to look down on Meditat, seeing that his gaze hasn't moved yet.
Indra lets out another sigh, and he places his hand on Meditat's gold shoulder.
He then continues, "I think we did pretty good over there, those trains are quite sturdy aren't they? I mean what do they make those out of, it's like invincible, maybe I should take these remains to Dana and she could find a way to make suits out of it. I don't know about the chrome color though, it's a bit much, isn't it?"
Meditat turns his head towards Indra, and he lets out an enraged roar as he grabs Indra by the throat with his right hand, forcing him to let go of his shoulder. He stands up to his feet and holds Indra up, his blue eyes blazing aggressively at Indra.
He bellows, "The only pathetic person here is you! Don't talk to me like you know me, any friendship we once had is worthless you piece of worthless filth! I'm never going to side with you and your deranged beliefs, I won't kill you but I'll make sure I make you disappear forever!"
He then bends his knees and boosts off of the ground, carrying Indra up as he's fueled with rage and vengeance for the terrible atrocity he witnessed.
Meditat flies down the street, leaning towards the right side and close to the skyscrapers. He passes one of them, and as he approaches the next, he slams Indra's body against the silver wall.
He holds Indra against the wall by the throat as he flies along the wall, crushing the wall behind Indra as he drives Indra's body through the skyscraper, leaving a long hole in one of the floors.
Inside the building, a few adults in formal attire walk down the hallway before jumping to see the sudden destruction, causing them to run away as Meditat flies Indra past the whole building before continuing.
Meditat boosts farther up, bringing Indra's disoriented body in front of him, as he weakly stares from the painful crushing he endured. Meditat throws Indra's body forward, and he then boosts towards him before punching him in the ribs with his right fist.
The punch throws Indra farther back, to which Meditat punches him in the ribs with his left fist. He rapidly throws jabs to the ribs while boosting continuously up the city, alternating between hands as his blazing blue eyes stare into Indra's.
Meditat delivers a flurry of punches before striking him with one harder punch, which causes his body to fly farther away.
Meditat continues approaching him, and he pulls back his left arm while his left gauntlet transforms into the plasma launcher. Immediately upon transforming, the gauntlet begins building a charge, as streams start to form an orb.
Even before he lets that happen, Meditat's right shoulder cannon emerges, and the dart grid immediately lights up.He then fires a barrage of darts out of the cannon, all of them aiming at Indra.
All of the darts strike Indra, exploding on impact, causing his body to fly farther back as he lets out a yell of pain, for he only even manages to stay standing due to his suit.
Before he can fully recover however, Meditat throws his plasma ball at Indra, throwing his arm forward and releasing the orb straight for Indra's chest.
However, before the plasma orb can strike Indra, six yellow arcs of electricity come out of his back, and curve around before sticking themselves into the incoming orb.
The several yellow arcs halt the orb from hitting Indra's body, and the arcs siphon the energy from the plasma ball, turning the ball yellow and causing it to shrink while all of the arcs become larger as it seems that Indra is able to feed off of the charge.
The plasma ball vanishes, and Indra looks up at Meditat, he then aims his hand at Meditat, causing the six arcs to extend farther out towards him, being fired at Meditat as Indra seems to regain his own control.
The six arcs wrap around Meditat like arms, causing him to shriek in pain as he's constantly shocked. His body is then yanked towards Indra, who grabs him by the neck, and takes off.
Indra flies with Meditat in his hand down the city, leaving a great yellow trail behind composed of individual bolts that together form one large electric bolt.
The yellow bolt continues for a few more blocks, exiting the district it was inside and continuing to the next as it moves towards the border of the dark district. Before it does, Indra tosses Meditat in the air, releasing the electric arcs and letting him hover.
Indra then bolts towards Meditat, and he pulls his arm back. He then flies past Meditat, throwing a punch straight into his face as he passes by. Meditat's body thrashes from the punch, but before he can move again, Indra flies back down from the other side, returning back to Meditat before delivering another punch.
The second strike causes Meditat's body to thrash again, only for Indra to return from another angle to deliver a punch, and then another, constantly launching himself at Meditat to deliver punches from all angles before he can react.
Meditat's body is thrown in different directions as he's helplessly beaten from every angle before he can move, as the yellow bolts fly past him in all directions, creating trails that create something similar to a star shape, with more points being made every second. The bolt speeds up to punch Meditat faster, as Indra's metallic gauntlet strikes him before he can recover from the last strike.
Indra flies towards Meditat one more time, however rather than punching him again, he grabs Meditat by the neck once more and continues to fly him down the city. He uses two of his capacitors as he slowly runs out of energy, but knows that he's not too far from a recharge.
The yellow bolt continues in a straight path down the dark districts, accelerating constantly to get the desired destination.
The bolt begins flying past skyscrapers that are lit up again and have holographic billboards, with visible pods below, indicating that they left the district. The bolt continues flying however, taking turns past skyscrapers as Meditat is helplessly strung along to follow.
The yellow bolt weaves through the city, effortlessly passing all the pods below which are hardly moving in comparison. As it moves through the thriving buildings, it starts extracting more energy, as yellow arcs crawl out of nearby skyscrapers and are collected by the bolt. Indra charges himself back up with the sources around him, supplying his capacitors and reaching well above reserves. He continues to siphon electricity out of skyscrapers anyways, just to make sure he has enough energy in case Meditat fights back, although that doesn't seem to happen.
The yellow bolt approaches a large silver building that takes up several blocks, being placed on four blocks that'd normally be taken for individual skyscrapers.
The building has a unique dome-like shape, as the base begins very much like a dome by converging in on one point, however it then curves upwards with less of an angle, which lets the building still stand tall, albeit it's well shorter than the surrounding skyscrapers. At the top of the building the walls curve back and reach a single point like a dome. Where the building lacks height it excels in width, still having far more volume than many of the surrounding skyscrapers.
The bolt flies up and above the top of the building, and comes to an abrupt halt. Indra reappears where the bolt disperses, his hand still gripped around Meditat's neck. His body continues to give off electric arcs to keep him afloat, as the arcs arch downwards and move in a way similar to breaststroke kicks.
Indra turns to face the building, which he brought Meditat near but still distant enough to get a sufficient look at it. Meditat turns to, confused with why he was brought to it.
Up on the wall towards the top of the building's exterior facing the two is a large hologram of an icon, which appears to be an Earth with a great red cross placed over it, given the illusion of being bent with the spherical template.
The icon was of the Versepitol, which is Versepolis's leading medical treatment center, crowned for its incredible groundbreaking research and equipment that allows it to heal nearly any type of patient.
They're renowned by the whole Superverse to be one of the best hospitals, having created medical treatments for all types of mental conditions and have perfected surgeries that range from limbs to vital organs. One of their greatest achievements in fact have been perfect replicas of internal organs that can be swapped with unhealthy or damaged ones during surgeries, which have no negative effects compared to the natural version of such organs.
Their partnership with Mechworks also gives them easy access to advanced cybernetic enhancements as they too offer surgeries for such devices, whether it be to replace an existing body part or to use it for where such body part is not present.
Indra lets out a loud sigh, and he comments to Meditat, "There it is, look at it that repulsive symbol. You know, it's funny how much humans pride themselves over their 'medical achievements,' because when you think about it, the fact that they put so much emphasis on those 'medical achievements' really goes to show just how weak and fragile they are. I mean, the only reason why hospitals exist is because humans on their own simply just cannot last, they need to depend on toys to hook their little frail bodies to in order to survive. Those hospitals, they aren't icons of strength, they're icons of weakness, such a reliance to do something as basic as live just reeks of patheticness. When a group needs to work so hard to do something as basic as live, that's when you know that that group is becoming outdated. But that's the epitome of what makes humans disgusting, they can't just accept when they're not good enough. They'll keep fighting and fighting and they'll try bringing the whole world down before they even admit to their weakness."
Meditat's eyes blaze as he stares at Indra, and he quarrels, "Isn't that what you do? Why do you need a team then if you're so strong, huh? Why do you need Dana to make you these fancy suits and teach you dog tricks if you're so strong, huh? If anyone has trouble admitting what they need, it's not them, it's you."
Indra turns to Meditat, and his eyes contract to an angered glare from Meditat's interruption. He tsks and turns back to face the Versepitol, ignoring Meditat's questions.
He continues, "I wonder how many people are inside there, only alive because of the machines they're hooked up to."
Indra raises his free hand and aims it at the building loosely, ticked off by Meditat's comments against him.
He resumes, "I wonder how many people there are past their expiration dates, and are cheating to breathe. I wonder, if humans are so strong like you claim, I wonder how they'll do when they have to depend on themselves to live."
Indra then tenses his free hand, and he slowly turns his palm to face him as he gradually closes his hand to a fist, as though making a pulling motion.
Meditat's eyebrow raises in confusion, and he notices that the holographic icon on the building flickers. His eyes suddenly shoot wide open, as he instantly realizes what Indra is trying to do.
He starts thrashing his arms forward, trying to grab at Indra, who continues to keep his eyes on the building, pulling his arm towards him as his eyes start glowing yellow again.
As Meditat struggles to fight back, yellow arcs of electricity begin to crawl out of the walls of the building, escaping the facility and being pulled towards Indra. More arcs escape out of different parts of the wall, slowly floating towards the man in the purple suit.
Meditat yells as he throws his arms at Indra, "Stop it! Stop doing that! Shuraj this is more than enough, what is wrong with you, how are you able to do this and be fine with yourself? There could be elderly in there, come on if you want to fight me just do that, stop going on these elaborate schemes just to hurt people for no reason when they've done nothing to you!"
Indra doesn't abide by the command, as more electric arcs continue to be pulled from the building. The holographic logo continues to flicker as the electricity slowly glides in the open space, traveling towards Indra.
He instead responds, "All the reason to do this. If there are elderly there then clearly they should just pass now. They've outlived their stay, their aberrations, and I'm resolving that."
Meditat grabs onto Indra's arm, and he squeezes as hard as he can, trying to find a way to pinch a nerve that'll force Indra to let go of him. He growls as he struggles, trying to stop Indra before he finishes ripping all the power from the hospital.
A bolt of yellow electricity runs up Indra's arm to shock Meditat's hand, yet even then he holds on, fighting through the pain as he continues trying to squeeze Indra's arm.
He keeps fighting as one of the long electric arcs coming off of Indra's body curves up and flies straight into Meditat, shocking him with far greater energy, which forces him to let go and shriek in agony.
Indra continues to concentrate on isolating the energy, as the massive set of streaks move out of the building and towards his hands, with individual arcs of electricity slowly flying to him.
Indra then jerks his arm back, which causes all of the arcs to suddenly speed up, moving towards him at a far faster rate as more emerge from the building. The arcs start to attach to his arms and slip out of his body, joining his side as he speeds up the process, staring at the building as more arcs emerge from the walls.
Ultimately, the final arcs emerge from the walls, and the holographic sign stops projecting. The last arcs bolt towards Indra before wrapping around him, and he absorbs it into his arsenal.
Meditat's eyes widen, and he yells angrily, "NO! SHURAJ, WHAT DID YOU JUST DO??"
Indra shrugs his shoulders, and he offers, "Why don't you go check for yourself?"
He then grips Meditat's neck tighter, and proceeds to throw Meditat towards the building with his large gauntlets. As he tosses Meditat forward, he then points at his moving body, to which two arcs of electricity come off his body and fly straight into Meditat, further throwing his body towards the building.
Meditat brings his arms up in front of himself as he braces for impact, and his body crashes straight into the side of the building at high speeds, leaving a hole in the building.
The added momentum forced upon him by the two arcs of electricity that struck him causes his body to continue flying forward, which sends him straight through a wall in the room he first fell into, and his body breaks through into the next room.
Even then he doesn't stop, as he continues to fly through wall after wall, grunting with every crash as he feels the hard wall breaking on impact as he's unable to stop himself.
Meditat's body finally comes to a stop as he breaks through the final wall in the row, and he's thrown to the ground, sliding backwards several feet before coming to a stop. He grunts softly before quickly shaking his head, and hastily gets up to his feet.
He finds that all of the lights are off, leaving the hospital completely dark, and he can hear confused shouting below.
Meditat looks around the room, finding that he's in a rather small square sized white room. He looks to see a table on one side with a chair that lays on the floor. He then surveys the other side to the room, to which he sees a bed on the floor, seeming to have fallen down as likely was meant to hover given the height of the bed's frame. The bed seems to have a curved white frame, similar to the machine in the Octagon, as it seems to be the medical beds used in the facility.
Laying on the bed is a woman, who appears to be senile due to the noticeable wrinkles on her face and her white hair which is also balding. She wears a white gown, her eyes closed as she doesn't seem to move despite the confusion and chaos that has erupted.
Meditat slowly walks towards the bed, and he kneels down by the body, his heart beating rapidly and heavily. He slowly puts his hand on the side of the woman's neck to feel a pulse, but once he does, he finds that there is no pulse.
Meditat slowly retracts his hand and stands up to his feet, realizing that the woman was deceased. He turns down to face the row of rooms in front of him, with gaping entrances due to the hole that his body left behind.
He runs to the room in front of him, and quickly observes the room, finding it to be a similar layout as the first one, with a bed on the ground. On the bed is a young boy in another white gown, seeming to be about the age of twelve, if not less. Meditat runs towards the bed and kneels in front of it before putting his finger on the side of the young boy's neck, once again feeling no pulse.
Meditat gulps, and he stands back up, turning to the hole. He once again dashes into the next room, and turns to the direction of where the other beds have been, to which he indeed finds the bed of the room, which has a man who's seemingly in his middle ages, also wearing a white gown.
Meditat notices that the man also seems to lack a right arm, as though he was in the hospital to get treatment for a serious injury. He runs up to the man and puts his hand on the side of his neck, and once more he finds no pulse on the patient.
He breathes heavily and abnormally, hyperventilating in terror as he realizes that all of the life support systems have been removed, which has thus terminated anyone who was relying on it to survive.
Meditat turns back to the holes, as though about to run into the next one to keep checking every single room to search for survivors as he keeps hearing yelling in the floors below, as the doctors seem confused by the sudden blackout.
Before Meditat can run into the next room, he stops to see Indra entering the floor through the hole Meditat made when he was thrown into the building. He watches as Indra lowers his feet to the ground, and slowly begins approaching Meditat as yellow arcs of electricity come off his body.
Meditat clenches his fists as he stares at Indra's eyes, and he exclaims, "Why are you doing this? What is the point of this? I'm not going to join you because of this slaughter, are you doing this just because you can?? Why?!"
Indra yells down the row of rooms in response, "You're right, because I can. Because I was birthed with the power to overthrow this regime. Because it is my responsibility as an Exhuman to bring closure to the former humanity."
Meditat takes a deep breath, and both of his gauntlets transform into arm cannons at once. He then aims both of his cannons at Indra, and shouts back, "There's nothing noble about your cause, you senseless murderer!"
Meditat then begins firing rapid bolts of energy at Indra in an effort to neutralize him, aiming for the face in hopes that a direct hit could end the battle.
However, one of the arcs that comes off of Indra's body flies to the bed in the room that Indra walks in, and it then pulls the bed off the ground, which causes the body on it to slide off and to the floor with no respect for the deceased.
The bed is reoriented to stand as a door before being pulled in front of Indra, and then utilized as a shield as it blocks the barrage of blue bolts that nearly struck Indra.
Meditat takes a step forward, and he takes a deep breath, summoning more strength after having been tiring his body constantly throughout the battle.
He then lets out the breath as he fires two concentrated beams of blue energy out of the cannons, trying to cut through the bed. He aims his cannons in order to strike Indra's shoulders, which wouldn't necessarily kill him, however it'd likely injure him significantly to allow Meditat to neutralize him.
Indra steps through rooms as he advances towards Meditat, and he hears the louder sound of the powerful beams being shot at him. The arc that holds up the bed then repels the bed towards Meditat, causing it to be shot out like a projectile.
At the same time, more arcs come off Indra's body, and they begin collecting more beds from rooms, throwing the patients off and utilizing the beds as more shields. The beds reorient themselves as they stack up as a shield in front of Indra, further reinforcing himself.
As Meditat fires the beams, he watches as the bed flies towards him. His eyes widen as he stops firing with his right arm cannon, and then allows it to transform into his modified armored fist.
The back of the armored fist then glows blue before projecting the diamond shield, which Meditat brings in front of him, which just barely blocks the bed from striking him. The bed bounces off the shield allowing Meditat to lower the shield and raise his left cannon again. He then fires another concentrated stream of blue energy out of his left cannon, keeping his shield in case more beds were to be thrown at him.
The blue beam penetrates through the beds, however Indra strafes to the side to avoid the beam from striking him. He watches as the beam doesn't seem to stop, as Meditat maintains it just to spite Indra, even though he realizes that Indra isn't being hit.
Indra turns back to face the direction of Meditat and the beds, and he aims his hand at the beds.
All of the arcs that hold up every individual bed then begin repelling the beds towards Meditat, rapidly firing them as more projectiles to hit him.
Meditat's eyes widen as he notices the multitude of beds flying at him, to which he turns to the wall beside him. He pulls his right arm back and dashes to the wall before punching it, breaking a hole through the wall and entering the hallway outside.
He turns to observe the beds fly past where he was just standing seconds ago, and lets out a relieved sigh.
However, his relief is abruptly stopped as he hears an explosion come from down the hallway, which he turns to to see a table having been thrown through the wall to his right where the patient rooms were.
A hole is exposed where the table broke through, and from the hole emerges Indra, stepping out as yellow electric arcs come off his body. He turns to Meditat, seeing that he asked the room, and the electric arcs begin curving back into his body as he raises his gauntlets, seeming to be charging himself to shoot.
Meditat's right gauntlet transforms to the arm cannon as he aims both arms back at Indra. The barrels light up as they charge too, and Meditat's blue eyes stare at Indra's yellow eyes.
The two stand on opposite sides of the hospital hallway, and they then each fire streams at the same time; Meditat fires two blue concentrated beams of energy out of his arm cannons while Indra fires two yellow concentrated currents of electricity out of his gauntlets, and the two paths converge in the center of the hallway, clashing just as it did in the warehouse. A loud hum comes from the center as the convergence of the two powerful energies cause bright light to illuminate in the middle of the hallway.
Meditat stands his ground as he tries to summon as much strength as he can within, trying to push out more energy than Indra to overwhelm his currents.
On the other side however, Indra attempts to harness as much electricity as he can with what he's given to push out more energy that Meditat to overwhelm his beams.
The clash of the streams causes blue and yellow sparks to fly out as the convergence nearly sits still, barely moving as both of them seem stuck in a standstill.
Indra takes a step forward as he summons all of the energy that he absorbed from the hospital along with the energy he stole from the other buildings, and depletes two of his capacitors to supply himself with as much energy as he's willing to use.
He slowly bends his arms back as he takes a deep breath, and then lets it out while extending his arms out, pushing all of the extra power at once through the currents.
In an instant, the currents become far thicker and overwhelm the blue streams, moving the convergence point quickly towards Meditat. Meditat, who has been steadily draining throughout the long night of constant battles full of pain and tragedy which exhaust his mind, is unable to match the sudden addition of power, thus the convergence point flies straight into him and explodes on impact. His body flies backwards and into the wall, and he groans weakly, feeling the impact on his back as the tears in his cape leave vulnerabilities that reach his body.
Indra leaps forward as the yellow electric acs begin propelling him forward, and he flies down the hallway. His arcs light up the hallway as he reaches Meditat and grabs him by the shoulders before spinning around and hurtling him straight into the floor, causing him to groan in pain more, feeling the impact on his back once again.
Indra approaches Meditat, and he looks down on his white helmet, standing over Meditat's body. Indra's hands tighten into fists, and he bends down closer to Meditat, the eyes on his wet human face glaring at Meditat's goggles on his white mask.
Indra states, "This is for what you did to Sriya," and he then pulls his right arm back, and punches Meditat in the face as hard as he can. He then pulls his left arm back, and throws another punch at Meditat's mask. He follows it up with another right punch, using the exact same tactic Rohan used in the elevator against Sriya, forcing Meditat to live the experience as the victim.
Indra's punches become faster just as Rohan's did, and he imbues more strength into every punch, coiling yellow electricity around his gauntlets as he strikes Meditat harder.
Every punch leaves a faint yellow explosion from the contact between Indra's dark blue fist and Meditat's light white face, and as Indra continues to keep punching Meditat, the ground beneath them quickly begins to start cracking from the force of the gradually intensifying punches.
Eventually, one of those punches causes a hole to collapse below them, causing both of them to fall down to the floor below. Pieces of the white floor fall as debris while Meditat falls with them, hitting the floor below before being pummeled again by Indra's constant beating, as even with the breaking floors he doesn't let up against Meditat.
In fact, he allows the floors to crack again, this time even quicker than before, and once again the floor collapses, dropping the two to the floor below. Indra's eyes stay furiously on Meditat's as he pulls each arm and throws them.
The next floor cracks and collapses, and as Indra keeps throwing his fists into Meditat, another crack forms, however this time it's on Meditat's mask. Indra maintains the beating as every couple punches causes the floor to collapse, and every couple punches also causes another crack to form on Meditat's mask.
On one of the floors, men and women wearing light blue uniforms run out shouting, trying to understand the sudden blackout after they've confirmed several patients have deceased due to the unexpected shutdown of all power including backups. They run up and down the hallway before the ceiling above them collapses, causing them to yell and move away from the debris.
They stand back to see Indra and Meditat fall from the ceiling, as Indra punches Meditat rapidly, causing small white fragments of the mask to fly out as he continues cracking it.
Only about a second after the two appear, the floor beneath them collapses, causing them to fall again which in turn causes the uniformed adults to run back in even more confusion.
Meditat's mask cracks with every punch, as within seconds his once pure white mask is full of them, ravines running through his white mask, as his mask seems to start breaking like a mirror. He lays on the ground, unable to fight back, as he watches helplessly to his goggles shattering, the shards flying off his face.
He stares with his naked eyes, his vision blurring, at Indra who stands over him, his teeth gritted as he throws fist after fist at him without end. Indra's eyes glow yellow as he summons yellow electricity for every punch, and his wet hair hovers behind him.
The ceiling of the first floor collapses as Indra and Meditat fall from above, leaving debris and white fragments flying below. Meditat lands on the ground as Indra pulls his right arm back one more time before landing one more hit, which causes the heavily cracked mask to then spread out, as all of the individual pieces disconnect from each other.
The two stand in an empty lobby, as all of the workers are on the upper floors, checking on the patients desperately.
Indra grabs Meditat by the throat and picks him off the ground, causing the individual fragments to fall off, revealing his exposed human face. With his left hand, he then grabs the top of Meditat's hood and pulls it down, furthermore revealing him.
The back of Meditat's white helmet falls off his head and to the ground, allowing his hair to poof out. Meditat glares back at Indra with blazing blue eyes, and he grabs Indra's wrist with both hands, trying to set himself free.
The two stare at each other's true eyes, as both of them are now unmasked, letting them see their old best friend. They keep their concentrated glare for a few long moments, as now Indra understood that there was now turning Meditat. Meditat wouldn't join his side, and so all there was left to do was leave him dead, a failed opportunity birthed from opposing beliefs.
Indra's body begins to start sparking with yellow electric arcs again, and he turns his head to the wall beside him. He then leaps towards the wall, and his arcs propel him and Meditat towards the wall of the Versepitol, which causes them to smash through the wall and out of the building. They fly off into the sky, as Indra carries Meditat by the throat, leaving the Versepitol with countless gone patients.
The yellow bolt flies up in the air as Indra drags Meditat with him in the front, with countless arcs emerging from Indra simultaneously to boost him up. Meditat's face begins to wetten from the rain outside, as he stares furiously at Indra while trying to hit Indra's wrists with his closed fists to get him off.
Meditat's hits cause Indra to let go, freeing him to fly back with the support of his own boosts. He stays up in the air near Indra, and immediately after gaining stability, he boosts towards Indra and throws a right punch to the face.
Indra brings his arm up in front of his face, allowing his wrist to catch Meditat's punch. He's not let off the hook easily however as Meditat then throws a low uppercut with his left hand, punching Indra's stomach and causing his body to fly back a few feet.
Indra growls from the successful hit, and he then dashes to Meditat before slapping him across the face with the back of his heavy hand, throwing Meditat backwards several feet.
Meditat shakes his head to rid the pain, and he then boosts backwards again before beginning to strafe in a circular path, beginning to orbit around Indra. He aims both of his hands at Indra as his gauntlets transform into arm cannons, rapidly searching for new ways to take him down.
Indra starts following the same circular path as Meditat, the two in front of each other constantly as they move around. Indra raises his own gauntlets as he sees Meditat's cannons light up, and his own dark blue gauntlets coil with electricity.
Meditat fires rapid blue bolts of energy from both of his gauntlets straight at Indra, to which Indra fires snappy yellow bolts of electricity back at Meditat. The two bolts strike each other, causing them to cancel out as the two circle around each other firing with seemingly no end, as Meditat tries to get at least one of his shots on Indra.
The two move faster as they circle around, trying to catch the other off guard, forming a circular trail that flashes between yellow and blue faster and faster.
While Indra fires opposing quick bolts back at Meditat, he takes an opening to dash straight to Meditat, grabbing Meditat's neck again and causing the circular trail to disperse. He holds Meditat up as the two hover up in the air over the city, surrounded by countless skyscrapers.
Suddenly, a flash of light comes from above, as a lightning bolt descends from the skies to strike. As the blue bolt descends, moving along the black skies, the bolt changes to the color yellow, being controlled by Indra. The bolt then curves its trajectory, and flies straight for Indra and Meditat.
Indra spins in the air several times before letting go of Meditat, throwing him backwards. He then aims his hand at Meditat, as the lightning bolt curves right beside him, and dashes towards Meditat.
The yellow lightning bolt strikes Meditat in the chest with a thunderous crash, triggering a blue explosion of energy on his body similar to as though the wind was kicked out of him, and his body soars down several districts, being shot out of the sky with a faint weak blue trail.
Indra watches Meditat for a few moments before then flying towards him, guiding his arcs to propel his body down the yellow trail, the two flying far down the city away from the Versepitol.
Meditat's body moves with great speed from the overwhelming power of the lightning bolt, carrying him through the city with his limbs hanging forward. His eyes remain closed from the blast as his hair continues getting wet from the rain, which only makes the electric blows that much more painful.
His flight ultimately concludes as he crashes into an office building, leaving a gaping hole in the wall.
Meditat's body tumbles fast as he quickly slams into a series of walls, leaving more holes as he hardly seems to slow down. He groans with every slam, passing rooms in seconds.
Each room seems to house desks and floating chairs inside of cubicles, and while the rooms are largely devoid of people at least during the night, there are still a noticeable amount of people at desks who notice the flying object.
As Meditat flies into their room, the people stand up and run away in fear and confusion, screaming as they make a sprint for the exit from the unexpected incident.
Meditat begins to slow down as the walls absorb his momentum, however that changes as Indra suddenly appears before him, having zoomed all the way to Meditat with yellow arcs coming off all over his body from the energy he's using. Without even letting Meditat finish tumbling, Indra begins adding more pain as he rapidly punches Meditat in the face, causing blood to spill from the heavy metal gauntlets pummeling him.
Indra keeps up with Meditat's speed as he maintains the flurry, maximizing the agony for him as blood continues to fly off Meditat's exposed face, which quickly reddens. Every punch lands effortlessly as Meditat lacks the strength to fight back, his mind clouded with misery from all the atrocious slaughters he had to witness his old best friend commit.
Indra throws his leg up in a high kick to Meditat's face in a spin. The kick also causes Meditat's body to spin the other way towards the wall, and once Indra faces forward again, he grabs Meditat's hair with his right hand and flies him through the last interior wall on the floor, driving Meditat's exposed face through the hard wall with no mercy.
The last wall combusts with debris flying forward, and Indra lifts his arm before slamming Meditat into the ground face first.
The last room of the office has several people working in cubicles, with the far wall being composed of transparent windows, revealing the dark storm that rages outside. However, when presented with the sight of the terrifying man in the purple suit who stands over the boy in the blue suit, gripping his hair ferociously, all of the workers stand up from their desks in shock.
The vast majority of the workers immediately begin racing for the exit, leaving the room as hastily as they can while screaming in absolute fright.
Meditat raises his head towards the crowd, his whole face red with swollen eyes and several teeth knocked out. He groans in agony, his lips having been torn from the punches, with blood continuously running off his face.
His weak blue eyes stare at the helpless workers trying to escape the room, but as he watches the crowd run, he notices one man standing in front of him, who doesn't seem to move away.
Meditat's vision is initially blurry, making it hard to make out who the figure is, as the man just stands in front of the terrified crowd, however he doesn't budge.
His vision clarifies, allowing him to identify the figure better as a middle aged man in formal business attire.
In the man's hand is a cup of royx, however upon staring back at Meditat for several seconds, he lets go of the cup, letting it plummet to the ground. The cup's black liquid contents spill out as the cup bounces off the floor before hitting the ground again and rolling away from him.
The man stares at Meditat with wide stunned eyes, and he asks in a shocked voice, "Rohan...is that you…?"
Meditat's swollen eyes shoot wide open as he immediately recognizes the man before him, who now stands alone in the room as everyone else had left, rushing down the exit no doubt to try getting as far away as they can from the action.
Meditat asks in return, speaking in his human voice which is frail from the pain he's endured, "Ma-Mark…?"
Indra's eyebrow raises in confusion from the apparent reunion, and he then lifts his foot and stomps down on Meditat's back, causing him to groan louder in pain. He pulls Meditat's face up by the hair, causing Meditat to grit his teeth from the added pain as his swollen eyes are forced to stare straight at Mark.
Indra proceeds to chastise, "Oh, so you actually know this random guy, huh? What, have you met while trying to get early internships or something? That's something else I've never understood about you, you have the capabilities of being so much and doing so much and yet you limit yourself to pursuing something as soulless as an office job. I mean when you told me there was something else you wanted to do I should've realized what that was but I didn't care what it was because all that mattered was that I was proud you were actually doing something that might actually mean something. You have the power to make anything, so why would you ever stoop down to the level of these pitiful failures of flesh that waste their lives doing nothing but typing on a keyboard? If anything it makes you more deplorable, while my life has been filled with tragedy your life has been nothing but tedious. You've relegated yourself to a meaningless and repulsive life, and that's one part of you that has always disgusted me, Rohan."
However, before Meditat can react or respond, Mark steps forward towards the two, stomping his foot on the ground. He then boldly declares, "Hey, boy! I don't know who you are or what's going on here, but I'll be damned if I let you toss that kid around like that and spew that shit."
Then, shocking to both Meditat and Indra, Mark charges straight towards the two, and he shoves Indra with one hand while slapping Indra's right hand with his other.
Meditat's eyes widen and his jaw drops in confusion. He turns his head as he feels Indra's hand pushed off his hair, and he stares up at Mark, who stands beside him, his other arm extended out and pushing on Indra's chest.
Mark shoves Indra backwards while detaching his hold on Meditat, causing Indra to stumble to the ground from the sudden unexpected attack. Indra's back hits the pieces of wall debris on the ground, and before he can move, Mark drops his right knee on Indra's body, and places both of his hands on Indra's shoulders before pushing down on him, preventing the man in purple from being able to get back up.
It seems as though Mark has suddenly rushed to restrain Indra, driven by a fatherly instinct as he keeps Indra on the ground as well as he can, letting Meditat free.
Meditat stands back to his feet, his face still bloody and his hair a pulled mess. He stares at Mark through his wide and swollen eyes, his jaw still dropped as he's unsure of how to react.
Mark's eyes are in a contracted glare as he stares down at Indra's face, a raging fury in his eyes as he restrains Indra.
Indra stares straight up back at Mark's face, his eyes wide with surprise from the move. His eyes then slowly relax, and he gives a mischievous smirk, realizing how perfect the situation was.
His purple body suddenly begins to start surging with yellow electricity, with sparks crawling around his body, and those sparks then attract to Mark's hand, sending a constant surge of energy into Mark's body. Mark's hands begin to give off a faint yellow illumination, indicating that the electricity is entering his system, and he begins groaning loudly in pain.
Meditat's eyes shoot wide open, and he breaks into a sprint towards the two, throwing his hand towards Mark's shoulder in an effort to pull him away from the fatal danger.
Yet before his hand can reach Mark, a large yellow arc of electricity emerges off of Indra's body, and it strikes Meditat's chest. The arc maintains itself as it establishes its magnetic field, and that field then repels Meditat's body backwards, throwing him into one of the cubicles.
Meditat screams, "MARK!" before his body crashes straight through a hovering chair and desk before his back is slammed against the cubicle wall. He's then held against the wall, unable to move, as the arc acts as a hand that holds Meditat away.
Meditat grits his teeth in pain, his eyes squinting in agony. He forces his mouth to open as he begs through a shout, "MARK, PLEASE, LET GO! PLEASE LET GO! HE'S GOING TO KILL YOU, IT'S NOT WORTH IT, I CAN FIGHT HIM AND YOU SHOULD EVACUATE WITH THE OTHERS! PLEASE, HE'S GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THIS! YOU HAVE A LIFE MARK, DON'T WASTE IT FOR ME!!"
Indra's eyes contract to a glare as he realizes that Mark still isn't letting go, as he keeps his hands on Indra's shoulders, standing over him and holding him from getting back up.
Mark forces his teeth to close, clenching his teeth and bearing the agonizing pain of the electricity. He doesn't move away, instead he stands his ground, fighting to stay on him.
He then states in response through his gritted teeth, "Rohan...there's clearly a lot...I don't know about you...but one thing I do know...is that you're a good kid…. I can tell...even the first time I saw you...I could see a good heart in you…. Now...I won't be able to hold him down for long...but I hope...this can help you get some time to recover…. I can't run off and let you...stay here in pain, son,...that's just something I can't see and leave be…. Dammit...Carla's going to hate me for this...isn't she?"
Tears well in Meditat's eyes as he realizes that he couldn't persuade Mark to leave, and the both of them knew full well that Mark wouldn't make it out alive. He was laying his life down knowingly, he was making himself a victim knowingly just to give Meditat a few moments of rest.
Meditat tries to speak, however nothing comes out of his mouth, as painful urge to cry holds him back from being able to speak. All he can do is stand there and watch as Mark lets himself get slowly electrocuted in front of his eyes.
Mark's face begins to illuminate yellow, as the electricity surges around his body, slowly overwhelming his systems. Mark takes a deep breath through gritted teeth as he takes the greater pain, his whole body feeling like it was burning in flames.
Even then he stands his ground and with open eyes he voices, "Now...I don't know where you came from...or even what your name is, but I...know a piece of shit when I see one...and I can see it in your eyes. You...you think you're strong...putting effort into putting other people down...because it makes you think you're above them. You think you're better than others...well,...I can assure you one thing. No matter how strong you think you are, living to hurt will never make you a man."
Mark forces his straining eyes to stay open as his whole body suddenly flashes yellow from the inside. His clenched teeth slowly releases to an open jaw, and the pressure he puts on Indra is let go.
His body slowly moves to the side as he releases his grip, and he collapses on the ground beside Indra, having said his last words. He rolls on his back as his arm stays extended out, and his eyes relax as they stare at the sky above.
Smoke emerges from his mouth as he had been lit up from the inside from the overdose of electricity, leaving his body limp as his fingers lay on the ground. His time was up, spending his last moments protecting the odd boy that'd crash into the balcony.
That boy stares at the defeated body of the man, and the electric arc holding him down disperses, setting him free. He stares in silence as tears begin to run down his eyes, his jaw dropped as he can't believe the scene in front of him.
Indra breathes heavily and loudly, seemingly exhausted, and he slowly recovers, getting back to his feet now that he's not being held down. He stabilizes himself and pats his shoulders, his eyes relaxed once again, calming after the intense situation.
He lightly remarks after the loud breaths, "Huh, ah, well, at least he got one glorious moment in his whole life."
Right after he finishes speaking, a closed left fist flies straight into his face, throwing his head to the right as the fist causes ripples in his cheeks. The blue and white fist retracts, as in front of Indra stands Meditat, his reflective teary eyes crossed in an enraged glare as he puts everything into the punch.
He then immediately follows up by throwing his right fist at Indra, his soul burning especially after hearing Indra's degrading comment after murdering the man who had a family. The man who would spend time with Rohan out on the balcony, the man who taught Rohan so much especially during his early days.
While at first Rohan thought the man was uninteresting due to his seeming lack of enthusiasm, he went on to learn how that couldn't be farther from the truth, as that man showed a whole side to life that Rohan never knew of.
Even if Rohan didn't truly know the man's life, he knew that Mark was a good man with good intentions and a good heart, a man who was willing to lay his life down just for a boy who he hardly knew.
He knew that that man was a true hero.
Before Meditat's right fist can land, Indra puts his own hand out, opening it and using it to block the fist. He then grabs Meditat's hand, and the two cross glares.
Small electric arcs begin protruding from the top of Indra's fingers and arching before then implanting themselves into Meditat's gauntlet. The arcs maintain their place, and yellow electricity begins to surge through the gauntlet, even though it doesn't seem to directly strike Meditat himself.
If Meditat hadn't suffered enough, the plates composing his arm begin to start lifting off his arm, being held by an electric current as the magnetic field establishes itself. The plates rise up a few inches off the arm, exposing the green jacket sleeve underneath.
All of the plates and pieces then fly away from the rest of the suit, being thrown out as the electric arcs fire them and disperse with their jobs complete. The blue, black, and white plates fall to the ground, leaving Rohan's exposed arm, still being held by Indra's heavy hand.
Indra then pulls his other arm back, and closes his fist as it begins surging with yellow electricity. He then drives the fist into Meditat, straight in the center of the chest where the glowing emblem of the pencil resides, which causes the center of his chest to start flashing yellow.
The individual blue plates making up the center of the chest along with the transparent material over the emblem are then projected forward with electric arcs holding them out.
The plates are then thrown out by the arcs, and at the same time, Meditat's body is blown backwards. His body is once again left exposed as he flies backwards, as both his chest and arm are now only covered by the green jacket.
Meditat's eyes close from the powerful strike as his body lands on the floor, sliding back before hitting against one of the cubicle walls. He lays on the ground, once more subjected to watch Indra's slaughter, once more unable to save a life.
Once again, another casualty was made, and a great life was taken from the world.
