"Jeez…"
Watching Brandish μ collapse the instant she finished the milk, Rain, Erza Scarlet, and Dimaria Yesta didn't hesitate for even a second before rushing over to her side.
"What kind of drug was that?" Erza said, staring at Brandish, who had gone down in seconds. "Does it really work that well?"
Erza was genuinely shocked.
With Brandish's magic, even catching her off guard shouldn't have been this easy. Sure, she hadn't been on guard—but still, this was ridiculous.
"It's just a very ordinary knockout drug," Dimaria said awkwardly.
"…Ordinary?"
Rain and Erza exchanged looks.
At that moment, both of them felt like they needed to completely rethink what the word ordinary meant.
"But I have to say," Erza added, glancing at Brandish's sleeping face, "she's actually pretty cute when she's asleep—quiet, and not talking."
She paused, then sighed lightly.
"What a shame. It'd be nice if she stayed like this."
"..."
If we're talking ruthless… Erza really doesn't hold back.
"Alright, let's head out," Rain said with a smile after taking one last look.
"Okay."
Erza and Dimaria nodded and followed.
...
"Ahh~ that felt good. I slept great."
After an entire day, Brandish stretched lazily before finally coming back to her senses.
She'd slept so long that her brain clearly hadn't caught up yet. For a moment, she didn't even remember what had happened.
"Awake already?" Rain walked over and smiled. "The operation was a success. Congratulations—you're now a cute boy."
"…Huh?"
Brandish froze.
She stared at Rain blankly, clearly not processing his words at all.
"O-Oh?!"
Reality hit her a second later.
Her eyes widened as she immediately looked down...
Perfectly covered. Nothing visible.
And more importantly… nothing felt wrong.
Her body was completely normal. Absolutely nothing like the nonsense Rain had just said.
"Are you insane?!"
Brandish shot Rain an irritated glare.
Who jokes about something like that?!
Snap!
Rain raised his hand and flicked Brandish square on the forehead.
A sharp, unmistakable sound echoed.
That single flick was enough to remind Brandish of the gap between them.
"How are you talking to your master?" Rain said coolly, eyes narrowing.
"…Ugh."
Brandish instantly wilted.
Her earlier bravado vanished, and she couldn't even bring herself to meet Rain's gaze.
Wait—why did I back down just because he glared at me? That's not right.
Realizing something was off, Brandish clenched her fists, lifted her head, and tried to glare back defiantly—
Snap!
Another flick.
Right where it hurt most.
"…Mm."
That last bit of courage shattered instantly.
"No—don't hit me again…"
If this kept going, she was seriously going to react in front of him.
How humiliating.
"You think you can talk to me like that?" Rain said calmly, his gaze dangerous.
"M-Master… please don't hit me anymore," Brandish said pitifully.
"Good," Rain replied with satisfaction. "That's better."
He reached out and patted Brandish's head in approval.
"H-Hey…"
Brandish froze, her expression turning inexplicably blank and dazed.
Rain watched her for a moment, then frowned slightly.
…This girl really is a masochist.
"Anyway," Rain said, changing the topic, curiosity flickering in his eyes. "Let's see what you can do."
He reached into nowhere and pulled out a set of cat ears and a cat tail, placing them neatly in front of Brandish.
"T-Thank you, Master—"
Brandish stopped mid-sentence.
Her expression twisted into something between shock and disbelief.
For a few seconds, she didn't even know how to complain.
"…You actually carry stuff like this with you?!"
She forgot to even call Rain "Master" properly.
There was no helping it—this was just too much.
"What?" Rain asked teasingly. "You don't like it?"
"Well…" Brandish hesitated, cheeks reddening. "Could I… maybe not wear this in front of everyone?"
She peeked up at Rain cautiously.
"…Could I wear it only in private? Just for you?"
She carefully watched Rain's expression, afraid she might've said something wrong.
"Yes."
Rain answered immediately.
Brandish's eyes widened.
"M-Master!!"
She looked genuinely moved.
"However," Rain added calmly, "you still have to keep it on your body."
"…Eh?"
Brandish blinked, completely confused.
Didn't Rain just agree to keep it hidden? What was this supposed to mean?
"You can use your Command T Magic," Rain explained with a smile. "Shrink it down so no one else can notice."
"And when it's just the two of us," Rain continued, "you can restore it."
"Ohhh—so that's what you meant!"
Brandish's face lit up in realization.
That wasn't an unreasonable request at all.
"…Okay," she said softly, nodding without hesitation.
