A new danger seems to be approaching Marcus and Fiona. Jose has paid the Wolves of Wrath to kill or kidnap Marcus and to kidnap Fiona. Whatever he is planning, it seems he wants to get rid of both of them.
Sophie: "Hahh."
Fiona: "So much for a peaceful life. This is hard work too."
Sophie: "Yeah... but at least we're making money."
Rosika: "Hmm. I suggest that next time we make shifts during our normal daily schedule."
Sophie: "Hmm?"
Fiona: "Yeah... you're right. Good idea."
Sophie: "Yeah, she's right. Whoever isn't on a mission works here. How about that?"
Fiona: "Yeah. You're right."
Sophie: "Good idea, little Rosika. Hehe."
Violet: "Hmm... Yeah... that could work."
Lina: "Yes."
Suspenders: "Us too?"
Oliver: "Yeah."
Sophie: "Of course. You're not kids anymore. Hehe."
Oliver: "Okay."
Suspenders: "Mhm."
Sophie: "So... Umm... Fiona, have you noticed that we haven't gotten any missions lately?"
Fiona: "Yeah. I've been thinking about that too. Anyway, let's head back to the house. We're still on vacation from missions anyway. Maybe for once they actually thought we should enjoy the break."
Sophie: "Yeah... maybe."
They returned home.
Sophie: "Hmm?"
Fiona: "Hmm... did you all see that too?"
Sophie: "Yeah... the window is open. Why?"
Fiona: "Did someone leave it open?"
Sophie: "Impossible... I checked it earlier."
Fiona: "Hmm..."
Sophie: "Maybe... I actually didn't... It's such a huge house..."
Fiona: "It's fine. Don't worry about it."
Sophie: "Yeah."
Rosika: "Hmm..."
Sophie: "Is something wrong, Rosika?"
Rosika: "I just... heard a noise..."
Siegfried: "Hmm. Where?"
Rosika: "At the back door."
Siegfried went over there.
Siegfried: "Hey, everyone... Didn't someone tell you the door was supposed to stay closed?"
Sophie: "Huh? What do you mean? I locked it."
Siegfried: "It's open."
He called out. Why is it Open ?... Did Sophie forget?... Or did somebody open it? However, not a big deal, right?
Sophie: "Mmm..."
Fiona: "Hey, don't worry. It happens."
Sophie: "Yeah... sorry. I must've been in a hurry..."
Rosika: "Hmm."
Fiona: "It's okay. Come on. You're probably just tired."
Sophie: "Yeah."
They kept walking. Sophie reached for the front door, but the key wasn't needed. The door was already open.
Sophie: "Huh?"
Siegfried: "Sophie... you're really clumsy."
Sophie: "Come on... I... I... I know I locked it."
Fiona: "Hmm... shhh..."
Fiona quickly looked around, and then toward the window. She thought for a Minute Then Took her Pistole.
Fiona: "Mmm... Sophie... Violet... Lina... do you have your pistols?"
Sophie: "Yeah."
Fiona: "Good. I think someone is inside. I saw something near the window."
Sophie: "Igh... a ghost?"
Fiona: "I... don't know. We'll find out once we go inside."
They slowly entered the house and drew their pistols.
Sophie: "... Ugh. Hands up."
Marcus: "Whoa. It's just me."
Sophie: "Marcus?"
Fiona: "What are you doing here?"
Marcus: "Well... I wanted to visit you. But you weren't at the station. I asked Ms. Valentine, and she told me you were here, so I came over."
They were really tired because of that now.
Sophie: "Ever heard of using the door?"
Marcus: "Hmm? What door? I just got here."
Sophie: "Huh?"
Fiona: "Wait... you just got here? Exactly when?"
Marcus: "About... one or two minutes ago."
There it is again... another Mystery in a Mystery.
Sophie: "...So... he wasn't at the window?"
Marcus: "Hmm?"
Fiona: "Someone is in here, Marcus."
Marcus: "Oh... At your place too?"
Fiona: "Hmm? Too?"
Marcus: "Someone broke into my place while I was at work."
He walked toward the door.
Marcus: "I think it's the same person."
Fiona: "How about it... should the two crows handle this?"
Marcus: "Hehe. Of course. We're crows after all."
They went upstairs and opened the door.
Marcus: "Ugh."
Fiona: "Huh?"
The window was open.
Sophie: "Uh... that's not the same window, is it?"
Marcus quickly ran over and looked outside. Nobody was there, But Somebody was watching
Marcus: "Hmm... Looks like someone has been watching us."
Fiona: "Since you've been watched too... I guess only us crows are being monitored."
Sophie: "But who could it be?"
Fiona: "Hmm..."
Sophie: "Ugh... Fiona... I think I know who."
Fiona: "Jose, right?"
Sophie: "Yeah."
Marcus: "Jose? Why would he do that?"
Fiona: "Jose is running to become Ms. Valentine's successor. Since we crows don't want to support him, it would be difficult for him to become the head of Dark Umbrella."
Marcus: "So he wants to... kidnap us or get rid of us."
Fiona: "Looks that way... He plans to get rid of us no matter what."
Marcus: "Then we can just tell Ms. Valentine."
Sophie: "We can't. We don't have any real proof."
Marcus: "We do. Steven... he's spying on Jose. That explains why he told me to be careful."
Sophie: "You didn't kill him?"
Fiona: "You trust that coward?"
Marcus: "He may be a coward, but he's still our last chance. I would never work under Jose. I don't work for child murderers."
Fiona: "Yeah... neither do I. Never."
Sophie: "Yeah... that guy is the biggest coward. He says that for the good of humanity you have to sacrifice people... yeah, sure... But he wasn't willing to sacrifice his own daughter. She died anyway."
Fiona: "He holds a grudge against me because I never visited her grave."
Marcus: "Neither did I."
Fiona: "Well... when he asked me, I told him, 'Did you visit the graves of the children you killed?' I think that's what he's angry about... His daughter... was more of a slut."
Sophie: "Ooh... Right... Fiona and Jose's daughter could never stand each other... But... didn't you two go on a lot of missions together?"
Fiona: "Yeah. His daughter Emilia... We were actually... good friends... until the incident where she murdered an entire family without any proof that they had done anything wrong. It turned out they were innocent... and when someone told her that, she just said... 'Well... can't change it now.'"
Sophie: "Oh, I remember. I saw it. You were so angry at her because she killed that family. You told her our partnership ended right there."
Fiona: "Yeah... I still remember it... As if that wasn't enough... she claimed that I punched her afterward, which isn't true. She hit me first... then I hit her back... and let's just say... since she's an idiot who normally only hurts people who won't fight back, she complained... Lady Natasha even punished me. A kind of house arrest. Long story short... that woman was nothing but trouble."
Sophie: "Hmm... Even so... she died a horrible death."
Fiona: "Yeah."
Marcus: "Ah, I remember... Fiona and I weren't there... but Daisy was. She told me Emilia was pushed by one of the suspects and fell onto a statue. And... well... the statue belonged to a famous painter, and unfortunately for her, she landed on the tip of the paintbrush, right through her neck."
Sophie: "Yeah..."
Fiona: "Hmm."
Sophie: "Well... Umm... I have to tell you something... hehe... Daisy told me something similar... Except... she... was the one... who killed Emilia."
Marcus: "Hmm?"
Fiona: "Huh?"
They looked at Sophie.
Sophie: "Hahh... Daisy, Fiona, and Emilia... the three of them... were good friends. They were all students of Tom Fog. But Tom Fog only liked Daisy and Fiona. Emilia... always made... rather disturbing decisions. Then one day, after the incident with the innocent family... she made an even worse mistake. She pushed Oliver... Daisy's little brother... down the stairs. When Daisy found out, she got furious... and pushed Emilia."
Marcus: "Oh... I didn't know that."
Fiona: "Hahh... Why would anyone push a child?"
She gently stroked Oliver's hair.
Fiona: "Poor Oliver..."
Oliver: "Mmm."
Sophie: "Anyway... no matter what... she's dead now. So he's really going through all this trouble just to kidnap Marcus and Fiona... or get rid of them?"
Marcus: "Let him try. Jose is arrogant, just like his daughter. And believe me... I'll kill him the same way his daughter died. If he misses her that much..."
Fiona: "Can I join?"
Marcus: "Of course. You're invited. You too, Sophie."
Sophie: "Just let me know. I'll bring popcorn and film it. Hmph."
Marcus: "Oh... by the way... Steven told me something. He said Jose paid some people... the Wolves of Wrath... or whatever they're called. Do you know them?"
Fiona: "No... not really."
Sophie: "He really must be desperate."
(Clack)
Sophie: "Huh?"
Rosika: "Uh... Fiona... did you hear that too?"
Siegfried: "Umm... everyone, come downstairs for a second."
They went downstairs.
Siegfried: "Well... take a look."
Sophie: "Huh?"
Fiona: "This just keeps getting better... What are you doing here... Joker?"
The Joker: "Hey... I might be able to... help you."
