Minho opened his eyes to a completely dark space. The only light was from what seemed to be a door far away from where he stood.
"Welcome, my Herald of Annihilation."
Minho looked around, wondering where the voice had come from, not realizing it was coming from inside his head. "Where are you? Who are you?"
"Your questions will be answered soon."
"Hah? In an empty space?" Minho raised a brow despite knowing he was most definitely going to have to walk to the door far ahead.
"Step forward to the source of the light."
Minho looked at the distance. He could tell it was something he couldn't just walk and arrive in a few minutes, and he wasn't going to just start running either.
"What are you waiting for? Ignore the distance and take your first step."
Minho looked around, pissed that he couldn't really see the person giving him instructions. He decided to do as the voice said anyways.
He slowly lifted his foot and set it down ahead. The scene seemed to change, a few stars appearing like he was in space.
Minho looked around and more surprisingly, the door was closer. The distance seemingly covered with one step was something else entirely.
Curiosity now at its highest, he took another step and stopped. More stars appeared and he could see a few stars that seemed to have exploded gathering slowly. The door was closer again, like it was coming to him rather than the other way round.
With another step he noticed the stars reforming. Each step did something and stopped. He decided to continue walking without stopping. As he did, the stars reformed, a few dimed and waned out of existence, and so did the ones that reformed, another set of stars that exploded taking shape again.
As he continued to walk, the speed at which everything was happening become intense. The stars started passing his vision, leaving lines as the speed increased.
If he could take a guess, this was a rewinding process rather than something random. But he chose to ask to confirm his hypothesis.
"What's happening?" Minho muttered.
"We are going eons back to where the origin of your question roots."
Minho looked around, the immense speed and different lights starting to make him feel slightly dizzy. He decided to look back at where the door was and to his surprise, he was just a step away from it.
"Now, you will be a spectator to whatever you see and your questions shall be answered once you walk through this."
Minho's expression became serious as he stepped into the space. A blinding white light shun and he had to cover his eyes as it was too much to bear.
Minho kept his eyes shut until he heard a hum that shook his entire being. He slowly opened his eyes to see an enormous source of golden light. A transcendent primordial presence that made him feel completely insignificant.
Minho stood there feeling like he was at the foot of something twice the size of the biggest mountain he knew, his emotions a mix of awe and terror with none of them being the stronger force.
By its right was a blinding brilliant light and by its left was eternal darkness and from it somethings started to form.
The darkness caved in like a vortex and the light shun brighter. Eventually, Minho could now see eight mighty figures created from the darkness and same was to say for the light.
Information started to play in Minho's head like he was telling himself the story.
.
.
.
These were the Monarchs and the Rulers, all created by the golden light, The Absolute Being. The Monarchs were made from eternal darkness and the Rulers from brilliant light.
The Rulers were made to protect the world while the Monarchs to destroy. Their motives, personalities and ways of understanding were distinct and polar opposites of each other.
As time went on the worlds were created and the clash of motives led to a non ending war between the Monarchs and Rulers for several eons.
.
.
.
At the time, the scenes changed rapidly for Minho. From creation of the worlds to the countless wars between the Monarchs and their armies and the Rulers with theirs.
Suddenly, it all slowed. The war stopped as the Rulers had retreated, heading to the Absolute Being for assistance in finally putting an end to the war.
The scene was now a vast space with numerous dragons of different kinds.
Minho stood behind a throne and he looked around, seeing mighty dragons of different looks with enormous auras.
He slowly took a cautious step and started to walk, wanting to see who was sitting on the throne. It had to be the Dragon King. He was a spectator, so he wouldn't be noticed, right?
He started to circle around but instantly appeared in the front. Four dragons were fanned out by the right and another four by the left, but he still couldn't make out the face of who was on the throne or what they looked like at all.
As he started to walk in the midst of the dragons, after passing the first two and the second.
By his left he could recognize Rathalos. The dragon was enormously bigger than what he met in the dungeon.
By the right was Eslin, her silver scales more elegant and she was larger as well.
As he walked forward, to the last two. By the right was a giant dragon that had looked like it was smiling, scales deeply violet. He had never seen Vasha's dragon form but he couldn't mistake this one for any other person.
And lastly by the left was another dragon with an aura that made his blood run cold for a second.
An elegant looking four-horned dragon with maroon colored scales and a look that made it seem like it was above every single one in the space.
Now the last one and his main target. The person on the throne. As he walked the steps to climb onto the platform where the person was, the ground suddenly collapsed inwards and Minho could see the dragons watch him as he fell.
The sudden fall caught him by surprise and in an instant, he appeared at the middle of a deserted land alone.
He then heard a loud charge from behind, he turned to see the Rulers and their armies attacking like they had been there for a long time. Then he suddenly heard a responsive number of battle cries from behind, turning to see the Monarchs and their armies, all charging in with him at the center.
....
While Minho was receiving his briefing, in the real world, his body had just shut down. His head was low. No mana being absorbed, no mana being emitted, no destructive and commanding presence.
He was basically a dead body in normal sense, and this worried the disciples.
They finally managed to clear out the orcs and the dungeon gates closed.
"Whoa, that was a lot, wasn't it?" Vasha stretched, asking no one in particular.
They all turned to Minho, wondering if they should check on him or if he was doing something, but then again, they couldn't feel anything from him. Vasha who could detect life force couldn't even detect Minho's, which raised an alarm in her as she started to walk towards him. "My Liege,"
Just then, a sound came from behind. Vasha stopped in her tracks and turned.
Three red claw like marks appeared in the air, eventually forming a dungeon gate. Mighty wolves and beasts started to pour out and the team had to get back into action, though they knew what was happening already.
After clearing off the beasts, nothing came out of the gate, but it didn't close either and they could tell why.
A leg suddenly appeared form the dungeon as someone started to step out. The disciples gritted and took battle stances, staying at high alert, knowing the scale of the threat that was walking out.
Bihami raised its sword, though it couldn't stop it from shaking.
As the full body came out of the gate, it sealed. "Hoho, what do we have here?" The Beast Monarch said.
