While she didn't know what was happening, Liliana knew that grabbing Luo Guang at that moment was the absolutely correct choice. The man's stance clearly indicated he was about to approach the battlefield, but how was that any different from seeking death?
It's terrifying, truly terrifying!
Liliana had witnessed the descent of an Unrighteous God in the past. That terrifying aura was still impossible for her to forget. Now, several years later, seeing a new Unrighteous God appear, the fear in her heart was triggered once more.
Those were genuine Evil Gods. They descended upon the earth to bring catastrophe, and they were permitted to destroy the world and all of humanity! Although she had faced powerful existences like Holy Knights and the Ancient Gods in the past, Liliana had never felt a trace of fear. But now, her face was pale, and she had no intention of resisting the horror before her.
But at least... please let me save a few more people. Let it be compensation for the mistakes she made in her youth.
"Come with me, I'll take you to a safe place."
Hearing this, Luo Guang offered a slight smile. Liliana's expression was pitiful, but he felt no romantic stirrings. He was merely appreciative of the girl's stubbornness and kindness. Her persistence and conviction were worthy of his approval.
But business was business.
"Go save others. What happens after that, we'll discuss later."
With that, Luo Guang actively walked into the storm. The strong winds whipped against his body, but they could not move him an inch. Liliana wanted to chase after him and drag him back, but she quickly froze.
She suddenly realized that the torrential rain that was falling had, from the very beginning, never touched the man's body. His clothes, hair, and even the soles of his shoes were completely dry.
The witch's eyesight allowed her to discern the reason. The raindrops were blocked by an invisible barrier about five centimeters thick around Luo Guang's body before they could even get close. The water flowed automatically around him, creating a completely dry zone. This was, of course, the result of Luo Guang learning Water Magic.
Liliana stopped, staring blankly as he walked into the rain. By the time she reacted, Luo Guang's figure had already vanished.
The battle between Rahu and Vishnu continued. The Spirit Fish avatar was covered in wounds, while Rahu's arrogance grew even stronger. It was true. Seeing his enemy—the one who had severed his head—so close and being brutalized must have filled him with a satisfaction beyond measure. I just wonder where its neck is... Does a fish even have a neck?
Perhaps realizing that the Spirit Fish avatar was miserably weak and would surely be defeated if things continued, the unleashed Vishnu changed tactics. The large fish's shape rapidly transformed. Its golden scales turned into hard bristles, and in the blink of an eye, the Spirit Fish became a massive wild boar with large tusks.
Rahu, who was gripping the boar, felt a stinging pain in his palms. He instinctively pulled his hands away and discovered that countless bloody holes had been pricked into his palms. The boar's bristles were harder than steel needles, and even Rahu couldn't escape harm.
"Hateful Vishnu! I will surely kill you today!"
The injury enraged Rahu further, and he screamed in fury. He then grabbed a multi-pronged trident with one of his hands and forcefully hammered it onto the wild boar's body. Vishnu let out a cry of pain but immediately stabbed Rahu's abdomen with its hardened tusks. Scalding blood, hot as lava, steamed and gurgled into the water, polluting the source and making it intensely poisonous. Any survivors immersed in the water, upon contact with Rahu's divine blood, found the exposed parts of their bodies rapidly festering.
Due to the battle between the two, unimaginable impacts and colossal roars overwhelmed people's senses. For ordinary people, what was happening clearly belonged only in a sci-fi movie. Mortals could not see the Gods unless the Unrighteous God actively and willingly revealed their form. Thus, even now, ordinary people only believed that the end of the world had arrived. Even if unnatural sounds were clearly audible at the scene, no one there was capable of rational thought anymore.
Luo Guang chose not to intervene in the battlefield immediately. Even if he intended to become a God Slayer, he knew how to obtain what he wanted while paying the minimal price. Let Rahu and Vishnu fight for a while; he could use the time to observe the Gods' attack methods.
The battle between Rahu and Vishnu had entered a white-hot phase. The wind, which was chaotic before, became even more violent due to Rahu's rage, creating an explosive sound. Rahu's figure also swelled within the storm.
The Dīrgha Āgama Sutra records Rahu's exploits, stating that He lived north of Mount Sumeru, at the bottom of the great ocean, with a height that exceeded Mount Sumeru by 10,000 yojana and reached 28,000 yojana. On the 15th day of every month, he would manifest his form, and the seawater would only reach below his navel.
One yojana is roughly equivalent to 11.2 kilometers. That would mean a total height of over 300,000 kilometers. Considering that the Earth's circumference is only about 40,000 kilometers, Rahu's size would be larger than a planet.
Of course, Rahu, as an Unrighteous God, could not grow that large. If he could, the other Unrighteous Gods might as well give up, as a Rahu of that size could destroy a planet with one hand.
Rahu's height stopped growing once it reached over three thousand meters. Vishnu's avatar, the wild boar, also grew in size corresponding to the divine power, narrowing the gap with Rahu. However, the tide of the battle was gradually turning in Rahu's favor.
This puzzled Luo Guang. Vishnu, aren't you one of the highest-ranking Trimurti? When it comes to Hindu mythology, the boasting level of all other Earth mythologies combined doesn't compare. Vishnu could cross the universe in three steps, stomped the Demon King Bali underfoot, and was even prophesied to appear as the white horse Kalki before the world's end, riding in with a sword to re-establish cosmic order. Compared to Vishnu, Rahu's origin was as unremarkable as a pebble in a dusty corner. In the myth, Rahu's head was chopped off by Vishnu after he was exposed by the Sun and Moon Gods for stealing the nectar of immortality (amrita). Because he drank the nectar, he couldn't die and has been perpetually seeking revenge on the Sun and Moon Gods, but he would never dare to utter a word against Vishnu.
Yet, the reality here was the opposite. Rahu was fighting so fiercely against such a Great God and was even gaining the upper hand.
