Tony knew Happy had lost on his own, and had only been trying to save face, so he asked Ye Li, "What kind of training is this?"
He wanted to learn it... Compared to these clever moves, what was the boxing he had practiced before?
"Basic Martial Arts."
Ye Li replied to Tony, then asked the girls, "Did you all see the moves clearly?"
"Yes, we did!"
Skye clapped her small hands, acting like a fangirl, "Li, you're so handsome!"
"It looks pretty powerful."
Felicia clenched her slender fist, gaining an understanding of this fighting technique.
Perhaps if she practiced this well, she wouldn't have to fear those thoughtless boys at school bothering her because of her looks.
Cindy had expected the outcome, but she also sweetly praised, "It's amazing!"
Tony saw the girls praising Ye Li one after another, and he immediately realized Ye Li was treating him as a human punching bag.
So he wanted to learn even more, grabbing Ye Li and saying, "Teach me this fighting technique too. I can pay, just name your price."
"Ah—"
Ye Li yawned, sounding uninterested, "We'll see. If I have time, I'll teach you. You know me."
Only then did Tony remember how lazy Ye Li was; even a custom painting would take him ages to complete.
"Alright, just teach me a few moves when you have time, consider it a casual visit."
Chapter 52: Tony's Urgency! Dealing with Obadiah Casually!
"So now, how about I pick out a few paintings to take with me?"
Tony remembered his initial purpose, scanned the studio, and began picking out his favorite paintings.
"Suit yourself, just pay for them."
Ye Li said indifferently, "I must remind you, although the gallery is my workplace, there aren't many paintings here. You should go to an art exhibition to pick."
Tony was noncommittal, "Just picking casually. I know your real good stuff is all hidden in the Northern Building."
"It's good that you know. Don't go spreading it around and cause me trouble."
Ye Li took a bottle of low-alcohol drink from the fridge, "Want a drink?"
"Of course."
Tony snapped his fingers while picking, "Get me a glass."
Ye Li raised his eyelids, placed the drink and glasses on the table, "Pour it yourself."
"I'll do it."
Happy came over, poured a glass for Tony and handed it to him, and poured one for himself as well, "Oh, this is good."
"It is good."
Tony took the drink, but he hadn't drunk it yet. He was referring to a painting of a sexy woman hanging on Ye Li's wall.
"She's been here too? The signature date is even earlier than mine. You really are something."
Tony recognized her as a cover model he had once dated, but they hadn't slept together due to the Afghanistan incident.
Ye Li drank his wine, "Don't misunderstand, I'm not like you. It's just a simple portrait."
Tony exposed him, "Come on, that's exactly why we get along."
He then put the painting back, knowing that Ye Li never sold paintings like this.
"I have three lovely girls behind me."
Ye Li pulled Skye's lightly pinching hand away, "Tony, you shouldn't be blind. It's best to say less."
"Alright, alright, I apologize."
Tony said, continuing to browse with his glass in hand.
He suddenly saw something and became interested, "Let me see what I've found?"
Tony picked up a small framed painting casually tossed in a corner, depicting a golden-red armored figure.
"You like Iron Man?"
Tony dusted off his own portrait, "It's quite rude to just leave it here like this, but it's very well drawn."
Ye Li said indifferently, "Just a casual drawing. His suit is good."
He had only drawn this on a whim, and he hadn't expected the original owner to discover it.
"I'll take this one!"
Tony directly handed the painting to Happy.
Then he pulled out Ye Li's bank account number, and with a wave of his hand, transferred a large sum of money to him.
Ye Li didn't even check the payment confirmation, waving his hand, "Have a good trip."
Tony's farewell words caught in his throat...
I haven't even said I'm leaving yet.
"It seems you want to chat with your little girlfriends, so I'll be going now."
"Remember what I told you."
"The fighting technique."
...
After Tony left.
Ye Li didn't continue to build intimacy with Skye and the others as Tony had expected.
Instead, he instructed them, "You guys practice here slowly. I have something to go out for."
He had time to wander around, but he still hadn't given him the suit.
It seemed necessary to follow him and meet Tony again under another identity.
...
Back home, Tony wanted to give the painting to his assistant Pepper, but she was nowhere to be found.
Beep—
His phone rang.
It was Pepper.
Before he could answer, his face suddenly turned pale, and purple veins bulged...
Obadiah Stane, an elder of Stark Industries, walked out from behind Tony, putting away the small device in his hand.
"I really wanted to show you my Iron Man Suit, Tony, but unfortunately, there's no chance now."
He sneered, taking the blue Arc Reactor from Tony's chest, "Too bad, you dragged Pepper into this too. I originally wanted her to live."
"Heh, look what this is."
Before leaving, Obadiah saw the painting Tony had placed on the sofa, picked it up, and mocked, "Iron Man? What a ridiculous thing. Can saving those refugees make money?"
With that.
He was about to tear the painting casually.
"While I don't know what you mean by 'ridiculous,' you'd best put that painting down."
A voice came from the shadows.
Ye Li, dressed as the knight spider, walked unhurriedly towards Obadiah.
"Black Spider!?"
Obadiah froze, remembering the news reports from a while ago—
Tony had gotten involved with him?
An unexpected individual...
No matter what Obadiah thought.
Ye Li simply patted his shoulder, then took both the painting and the Arc Reactor from his hand.
Obadiah dared not resist.
He knew this Black Spider was different from other superheroes; he never hesitated to kill.
Even Norman, the chairman of the Osborn Group, had been casually crushed to death by him.
He swallowed, "Black Spider, perhaps we can sit down and talk."
Ye Li ignored him, only looking at Tony.
"Tony Stark.
