Rosella
I groaned in pain as my eyelids fluttered open, greeted by a blinding light above me. I squinted momentarily before my vision adjusted, allowing me to take in my surroundings.
The last thing I remembered was falling into the pit, yet here I was, lying on a soft bed with clean clothes.
My eyes darted until they landed on the familiar dressing mirror, and I realized I was back in my room.
I thought I was dreaming for a second—until Elias walked in, humming softly to herself.
"Elias," I croaked, my throat dry. When I tried to lift my left arm, it burned like it was on fire, and I gasped in pain, quickly lowering it. "Ouch!"
"Lady Rosella!" Elias rushed toward me, her face full of concern. "Are you all right?" she asked, and I nodded weakly.
"How did I get here?" I asked, trying to sit up, but the sharp pain in my arm forced me to stop midway.
"Easy," she murmured, helping me sit upright and placing a pillow behind my back for support.
