Never did I imagine that Damian would send us all into the forest. For what reason? To serve as entertainers?
Yet again, the future Luna Queen was with us. There was no way they would ever risk her life. It would have been a different situation if only the humans had entered the forest.
Since she was with us, I felt a sliver of assurance that we would be safe.
Another guard said, "Make sure you return with what the Alpha King asked for. "
I gave him a questioning look, expecting more explanation, but he did not offer one. Instead, they handed out tags and, by some small mercy, mine was the same color as Angelica's.
That meant I was going to be safe.
There was a difference in the tags. Angelica bore a crown beside it. Mine had nothing. The others who were human had nothing either.
