Chapter 10 - I can’t stop thinking about her

Damian

"Spread your legs," I ordered Danielle, who obediently did that. I had called her when Varak requested his daily energy.

Sex.

"What would you like me to do, your Highness?" she asked. I found her tone boring, unlike Rosella.

I wanted her to scream, pretend she didn't want me and fight me but she was just plain boring.

I ignored her advances and let her kneel in front of me. As she licked me from tip to shaft, I grabbed her hair and guided her movements.

Her lips made a smacking sound, and I could feel the tension in my body, but it was different from what I felt for Rosella who was fire, unyielding, untamed. and Danielle was just… there.

"Mmmmmmm," I groaned softly, cupping her breasts and playing with her nipples, though it meant nothing.

Varak's voice in my head urged me on, insisting that I provide him his energy. I obeyed, letting Danielle give herself to me, but every thrust of her tongue reminded me how hollow this was. I could feel no spark, no heat, nothing compared to the images of Rosella burning in my mind.

I roughly pulled her away from me, letting her gasp and stumble back. "Stop," I growled, pointing to the floor. "Don't move." Her eyes widened, a mix of confusion and lust, but I ignored it.

I grabbed my robe and left the room. She tried to follow, naked, arms reaching out to me. "Don't you dare touch me!" I snapped, shoving her to the ground. "Next time you try, I'll make sure you regret it," I threatened, and walked away without a backward glance.

Once inside my bathroom, I turned the shower on, letting the hot water wash over me. I closed my eyes, letting out a soft moan I didn't bother hiding.

"Why can't I get her off my mind?" I groaned, fists hitting the tiles in frustration. Blood blossomed from my knuckles, but I didn't care. "Why the hell is that human messing with me!"

"Just ten times, and you'll be free from me," Varak reminded me, his laughter echoing inside my mind. "Ten times and it's done."

"Shut up!" I shouted, punching the wall again. "What happens to her after you're done?" I asked Varak, though I didn't care. The answer was purely for knowledge.

"Why do you care about the human so much?" he teased.

"I don't care about her!" I yelled, ruffling my hair. "Her fate isn't my concern!"

I stopped the shower, dried myself, and dressed quickly in a round white shirt and black pants. I headed to my office, my mind restless about what was happening ever since the human came into my life.

As soon as I sat down, I counted to three, expecting Romeo to enter, and as predicted, he did.

"Your Highness," he bowed.

"What is it this time?" I asked, leaning on my desk. "What's happened now?"

Romeo heaved a sigh, pacing in front of me. "I don't even know how to break this to you," he said.

I raised an eyebrow, tapping my fingers on the desk. "Just say it already. Don't waste my time."

"There's been a breach at the border," he announced.

"A breach?" I raised my lips in surprise. "What do you mean by that?" My attention sharpened.

"A few Werewolves were found dead at the border," he said.

I stood abruptly. "What are you saying? How did this happen? Why now?"

"The council of elders thinks it's bad luck because you haven't found your Luna yet," he explained. At the mention of Luna, my mind flickered to Rosella. If only they knew I had found her… but she was human.

"And what are they suggesting?" I asked.

"A marriage between you and Lord Jared's daughter."

"Lord Jared?" I blinked, disbelief on my face. "He has a daughter?" My hands slammed on the desk. "How does this solve the Werewolves' deaths? We need answers first!"

"The Gamma is already handling that. He'll find out soon," Romeo said.

I sighed, rubbing my temples. "And what of the elder's suggestion?"

"He thinks having a queen will secure your generation," Romeo said.

"I don't need anyone to survive," I said, leaning back. "And remember, Varak needs energy to feed. I won't let anyone die because of me."

Romeo nodded. "You could feed on the slaves, but you still need an heir," he reminded me.

I acknowledged silently. He was right about that.

"Very well," I muttered.

"Yes, your highness," He bowed and left.

As soon as he left, I found myself thinking about her yet again. Even in her absence, she consumed me entirely. "Rosella."
