Looking at the contemplative Shuzen Issa, Lin said with a slight smile:
"Father-in-law, you should be well aware that if I had decided to use force, this Shuzen manor would already be gone."
"And you along with it."
"I am determined to get my hands on Alucard's main body."
"But you are Akua's biological father and Moka's adoptive father, after all. I'd rather not spoil the harmony between us."
"I hope you'll think it over carefully."
"Besides, you wouldn't want your daughters to lose their father, would you?"
"You…"
Shuzen Issa's expression shifted slightly.
Hearing the threat that followed,
his expression flickered through several changes.
"Fine. I'll take you."
Shuzen Issa took a deep breath, ultimately choosing to compromise.
He wasn't a stubborn man.
Besides, the most fundamental rule of the Yokai Realm was the law of the jungle.
He was no match for Lin.
Although he was furious that this man had stolen his two daughters,
there was nothing he could do about it now.
As for handing over Alucard's main body, which he had guarded for two hundred years,
it made no difference whether he was willing or not.
Just as Lin had said,
if not for Akua and Moka, the Shuzen manor would likely be a pile of ruins by now.
"Father-in-law, you're a smart man."
Seeing Shuzen Issa make a choice that was good for everyone, the smile on Lin's lips widened.
He retracted his psychokinesis.
"..."
Hearing this, the corner of Shuzen Issa's mouth twitched.
His face involuntarily darkened.
"Calm down, calm down, you're no match for him at all..."
He took slow, deep breaths, repeatedly counseling himself in his mind.
"Follow me."
Without looking at Lin again, Shuzen Issa tossed out the words and turned, flying toward the large castle at the center of the manor.
Lin and Shuzen Akua followed.
After entering the castle, Shuzen Issa led Lin and Shuzen Akua to his room and opened multiple barrier seals.
A passage leading underground appeared.
The three of them descended the stairs into an underground space filled with concealment barriers.
A stone sarcophagus was placed in the center.
The sarcophagus was covered in strange runes, with energy flowing through them to form an integrated seal and concealment.
Lin released his spiritual perception.
He could sense the terrifying life force contained within the sarcophagus, so immense it was practically off the charts.
Lin retracted his spiritual perception.
With a thought, he summoned the Mist Gate.
He then placed the sarcophagus containing Alucard's main body inside it.
Witnessing this scene,
Shuzen Issa's eyes flickered.
Curiosity appeared in Shuzen Akua's eyes.
She didn't know about the Exclusive Dust Realm yet.
After all, she had only become Lin's retainer the previous night, and there had been other matters to attend to.
Having obtained what he came for, Lin was satisfied.
He turned to look at Shuzen Akua:
"Do you want to stay here for a while, or come back with me?"
Both of the main objectives for coming to the Yokai Realm had been achieved.
So it was time to go home.
He could always visit the Yokai Realm again in the future.
"I'll go back with you."
Shuzen Akua answered without a moment's hesitation.
Shuzen Issa: "..."
He felt a pang in his heart.
"Wait a moment."
Suddenly remembering something, Shuzen Issa spoke up:
"Did you run into Kokoa?"
Shuzen Kokoa, his youngest daughter.
The fourth child.
The third was his adopted daughter, Moka.
The eldest was Shuzen Akua.
There was also the second daughter, Shuzen Karua.
All of his children were girls.
"Kokoa..."
Hearing this, Shuzen Akua's eyes shifted slightly. "No, why?"
Lin was slightly curious.
"That shouldn't be right..."
Looking at Lin and Akua, Shuzen Issa frowned slightly.
"The sarcophagus showed some activity earlier, and I suspected there was a problem with Moka's seal, so I sent Kokoa to the Human Realm to find her."
"Logically, she should have found her by now."
"This shouldn't be happening..."
He was somewhat puzzled by this.
Shuzen Akua's brow furrowed. "When did this happen?"
Shuzen Issa: "About six days ago."
Hearing this, Shuzen Akua's eyes flashed.
Six days ago... wasn't that when she made a deal with Miyabi Fujisaki and went to the Human Realm to help him find Moka?
So Shuzen Kokoa had gone as well.
Shuzen Akua shook her head. "I didn't see Kokoa."
Shuzen Issa looked at Lin. "Hasn't she contacted Moka?"
Before she left, he had given Shuzen Kokoa Akashiya Moka's phone number and told her to call once she reached the Human Realm.
Lin: "No."
Akashiya Moka hadn't mentioned anything about it recently.
If Shuzen Kokoa had contacted her, she would have brought it up in conversation.
But she hadn't.
"What's going on?"
Shuzen Issa frowned upon hearing this.
Just then, Lin spoke again:
"How about this: give me Kokoa's phone number. After I get back to the Human Realm, I'll contact her and help you find her, Father-in-law."
"...Fine."
Hearing Lin call him Father-in-law again, Shuzen Issa felt another subconscious pang of annoyance, but he agreed nonetheless.
He couldn't help but look at Lin.
Hmm, very handsome, and with a strong presence.
Looking at him, he felt as if he were seeing his younger self.
Young, handsome, and powerful.
Having such an outstanding son-in-law... it might not be so bad.
Wait, like hell it's not bad!
This kid in front of me has run off with two of my daughters!
As soon as Shuzen Issa thought of this, he started to feel annoyed all over again.
After Lin took out his phone, he quickly recited Shuzen Kokoa's number, then said in a slightly deep voice:
"Alright, you can go now."
"I won't keep you for dinner."
Sensing Shuzen Issa's displeasure, Lin's lips curled into a slight smile.
"No need to be so polite."
"Akua, let's go."
He said to Shuzen Akua before turning to walk out.
"...Leaving."
Shuzen Akua glanced at Shuzen Issa, left him with those two words, and then followed Lin out of the underground space.
"Sigh..."
After the two had disappeared from sight, Shuzen Issa, still standing in the same spot, couldn't help but sigh before frowning slightly.
"Strange... just by standing near that boy, Lin, why did I feel a faint urge to drink blood?"
"Who exactly is he?"
Although the urge to drink blood was faint, he could control it.
And as Lin left, the sensation seemed to disappear completely.
Suppressing the many thoughts in his mind, Shuzen Issa glanced at the spot where the sarcophagus had been, his gaze flickering.
A moment later, he turned and left the area.
"Hm? Wait!"
He had only taken a few steps when he suddenly thought of something, his brow furrowing.
"I'm having Lin look for Kokoa... but what if Kokoa falls for him just like Akua and Moka did?"
"No, that shouldn't happen."
"He is her sisters' man, after all. Kokoa should know her place."
After this bit of self-reassurance, Shuzen Issa shook his head slightly, forcing himself not to dwell on such an 'impossible' matter.
"Damn human brat..."
He couldn't help but curse under his breath, his face filled with deep annoyance.
Stealing two of his daughters at once.
He really did hate humans.
