Chapter 10 – In a Glance
A year had passed since they moved into the loft. The city had changed, and so had they.
Elena stood by the window, holding their newborn daughter, Ava, while Marcus played softly on the floor with a sketchpad, capturing her curious little eyes.
Their life wasn't perfect, but it was full.
Full of laughter, late-night talks, and the quiet moments that said more than words ever could.
One afternoon, as sunlight streamed through the skylights, Marcus pulled Elena close.
"Remember the night we almost gave up?" he asked.
She smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "I do. And I'm glad we didn't."
He kissed her forehead. "Me too."
Love at first sight — once just a fleeting moment — had grown into something real, something strong.
In a glance, they had found each other.
And in each other, they had found home.
