I only added one edited skill to boost my overall growth towards magic. I don't know how much experience I'll need, but no one said there was a time limit for staying on the first floor.
With the new configuration and the desire to learn magic to complement my swordsmanship, I started killing monsters again. So far, the adversaries were always the same; then there were small animals that gave no experience.
Since I decided to stay here for a while, I need to find an uncontaminated water source and basic food to survive.
So I slowly walked aimlessly, looking for a place to stay and also to spend the night.
I easily killed three more dinosaurs and gained two skills: Magic Sword and Magic at level 1. Regarding Magic level 1, it allowed me to release mana from my body at will, but I still didn't know much about how it worked.
Regarding Magic Sword, it allowed me to naturally use a sword wrapped in mana whenever I wanted, so I re-edited my talent for swordsmanship since I had a specific skill for it:

It was almost night, and I still hadn't found water, so I climbed a tree as high as I could and prepared to rest for the night.
Luckily, the night was calm, but I couldn't sleep much. I closed my eyes for a few minutes but was in a state of alert that made me jump every few minutes.
Anyway, the next day, I continued with my work. I tried to kill dinosaurs by using the sword in different ways, always with magic, and little by little, I felt I was understanding how magic worked. It was like an energy that took the form of my will.
I wanted it to take the form of a fireball or a wind arrow, so I was practicing magic, imagining it turning into fireballs and arrows, but it still didn't work, although I think I would eventually make some progress.
Then I set out to make a bow to shoot arrows, to see if I could acquire a new skill, and that's what I did all morning.
A somewhat precarious bow with strings made of plant fibers was not very convincing. The arrows also didn't have a metal tip, but a carved wooden one.
Anyway, when the next enemy came, my intention was to hit it with the arrows as many times as I could. So I was playing with the dinosaur, and I missed almost all the arrows, and the ones that connected didn't do any damage. Then I had another idea and wounded the beast and started shooting at the wound while dodging its blows. I tried three times and failed.
On the fourth shot, the arrow got stuck, and the animal screamed loudly but didn't die. I kept trying in the same spot, and so I did with three more arrows that were stuck in one of the animal's sides. At that point, it was very weak, and after a while, it took its last breath.
I continued killing dinosaurs all day, and luckily, I found a water source that initially seemed drinkable, which was a small stream.
I sat in front of the running water and looked at my status panel.

At that moment, I understood that killing the beasts allowed me to create skills. Then, when I used skills, the system allowed me to create and edit the talents related to those skills.
Experience doubled at each level, but my need now was not for attributes but to raise my talents somehow. For example, if someone chose the talent for magic sword, it probably isn't a basic talent. Even if they can't edit it, they have a stronger starting point than mine, so I need to grow my talents and generate new ones.
The next day, I tried using the shield to defend myself and created the defense skill and talent.
And the second thing I tried was the Staff. I had forgotten about this tool.
I used my Magic skill and channeled an image of a fireball. At that moment, it was intuitive. I felt the mana transform into heat and then ignite to form the fireball. I could even direct it to impact next to a tree.
There was no explosion, but a fire that burned desperately and didn't stop until a few minutes later; it looked like fuel burning slowly.
After doing this, I only had 6 mana left, which only gave me enough for one more attempt, and I tried to make a wind arrow.
To my disappointment, the arrow could not materialize and unleashed a wind in all directions, wasting all the remaining mana.
No new skills were generated, but I was still happy with the new attack tool.
I spent a good while killing dinosaurs, but there were fewer and fewer. Maybe the system was naturally expelling me from here.
Mana regenerated very slowly for my taste, at 2 points per hour, which meant I had to wait 6 hours to cast two more spells. Now that I understood that it was easier to create spells with the staff, I started to think of some that would be useful, like a defense spell, which would work well with my talent, or ice spells to cause cutting wounds or stop the enemy... I had many ideas and little mana.
Anyway, I continued creating skills while killing some of the remaining dinosaurs.
My talents for now were edited as follows:

I have really developed a lot these days. Combining magic with edited talents allows me to forge magical talents, and skills are learned intuitively.

With this progress, Mark ended his second day on the 1st floor of the tutorial.
The next day, Mark started training magic again. Since the wind arrow hadn't worked, he thought he probably needed a spell or chant to stabilize the arrow, but since he didn't have one, the best thing would be to try a simpler or more natural form of the element. So his next attempt was to try to make an air spiral similar to a tornado.
Then, again with the staff in hand, he exercised his magic skill and released mana, focusing on making the air spin and concentrate at one point, so that all the air currents were absorbed around it. What he didn't think about was the mana consumption; he thought a spell consumed a standard 6 mana...
What happened was that he was completely drained of mana. A strong current of air formed that rose about 20 meters and began to destroy everything in its path. It lasted about 20 seconds, more or less, but around him, it left a mess of branches and leaves shredded by the strong wind.
The best part was looking at his status window and seeing that he had a new spell called "Fierce Tornado," and a talent called "Basic Magic," a talent for pure magic, without needing a sword.
The good thing is that he had many variants for this talent, and he decided to start with an affinity for thunder magic.
