Chapter 33 - 30

I just wasn't interested. (Luna pov ) The men in black held me back from the door, and I was filled with a mix of fear and curiosity. I mean, if this were actually happening, I should have been terrified. And I was, but I couldn't shake the curiosity. Just a minute of silence felt like eternity as I tried to gather my thoughts.

I found myself in this imposing chamber, where the emperor sat on his throne. It felt surreal—my mind raced. What was I doing here? I expected to say something witty, but all I could muster was, "Why are you in my house?" It sounded ridiculous even to my ears, and as I glanced at my surroundings, I realized I was completely out of my depth.

Luna had no idea what to say; it was almost funny how she stumbled over her words, trying to explain how she and her friends had stumbled into this mess. They had discovered a massive door, somehow gotten it open, and now she was here. If she had actually voiced that, it would've sounded so naive, almost stupid.

The emperor observed her with this sinister smile, the kind that sent chills down her spine. The men in black led her away, and soon she was strapped into a seat and subjected to this eerie simulation helmet. It was unlike anything she had seen before. Instead of a projected image, strings of code filled her vision, and as she strained against her restraints, her memories began to dissolve into the digital chaos.
