The night grew darker. Shilu, who had originally been enjoying himself, suddenly got very angry. He yelled at Merita, "Just as I thought, you're shameless. Not only did you come to me on your own, but now you're meddling in my family matters.
"My son is with another female beast, and it's none of your business!
"Get out of my house right now!"
Shilu pushed Merita forcefully out the door and threw her clothes to the ground.
Before closing the door, he spat and said, "Bad luck!"
Merita lowered her head, picked up her clothes, and put them on.
"Sorry, Kana."
As she walked, she looked up at the stars. Big tears rolled down her face.
When she returned to the cave where she lived, the guards at the entrance were already impatient and roughly told her to come inside quickly.
The guards had been almost asleep, barely conscious, but when they saw what she was carrying, they followed her like shadows.
Soon, shouting could be heard inside the cave.
It ended with a loud slap and the cries of a female beast.
The guards, full and satisfied, went back to sleep.
Gradually, dawn came.
Tuzé had spent the night chasing through the forest and was now carrying a huge magical beast through the settlement.
Many of the beasts in the settlement hadn't seen a magical beast yet but smelled it from far away. They quickly closed their doors and windows and didn't dare breathe heavily.
Faya was walking with her beast husbands. When she saw Tuzé approaching, she instinctively straightened her chest and fixed her hair.
Her beast husbands stared at Tuzé warily.
"What are you bringing that magical beast here for?
"Bringing a magical beast into the settlement will scare the other beasts.
"Take it outside if you want to deal with it. Don't come back!"
Tuzé didn't even glance at them.
A group of petty troublemakers.
But unexpectedly, Faya blocked Tuzé's way.
She got closer and gently said, "You're carrying such a heavy prey. Why not rest at my place for a while? I can have them help you carry it over."
Faya felt confident in her outfit today. Her beast husbands all said she looked good, which gave her courage in front of Tuzé.
Tuzé had obvious scars from fighting the magical beast.
Thinking about how her tribe had been attacked, with the males running away, they couldn't even compare to one finger of Tuzé.
Her gaze at Tuzé became warmer.
But Tuzé didn't speak or react.
Had she not been obvious enough?
Faya fixed her hair and spoke again, "If you want, you could stay in my cave long-term. I can make hunting easier for you in the future."
Tuzé raised an eyebrow.
Faya saw his reaction and was thrilled. She gained even more confidence and said with a smile, "If you want, I can spend seven days a month with you."
Her beast husbands' expressions clearly changed. They worked hard hunting all month and couldn't even see Faya depending on her mood.
Why should an outsider wolf-beast get seven guaranteed days right away?
Tuzé watched their reactions, then looked at Faya.
He laughed and beckoned her closer with his finger.
Faya was overjoyed and even found the magical beast on his back more acceptable.
She stood very close to Tuzé and lifted her head to look at him.
Tuzé slowly bent down.
Faya's heart raced, her face blushed. As he got closer, she closed her eyes and lifted her head.
Now she could feel Tuzé's breath.
The breath lightly reached her lips, then whispered into her ear:
"Go."
Then he pushed Faya away.
Faya froze for a moment, then exploded in anger and shouted at him: "Tuzé, what do you think you are! If I liked you, it would be a favor to you!"
"Why are you all just standing there! Hurry up and catch him!"
The beast men were already annoyed by Faya's attitude toward Tuzé. Now, after he pushed her, they saw a chance to vent their anger.
In an instant, they surrounded Tuzé.
Tuzé threw the prey he had down and stretched his shoulders.
Then, a black aura gathered around him.
The beast men's faces turned ugly.
They had only wanted to teach Tuzé a lesson since there were many of them. They never expected him to immediately use his power.
They were fox tribe, weaker than the wolf tribe, especially in close combat.
"I just fought monsters all the way here. I need to loosen up. Are you coming one by one or all at once?"
Faya was furious and shouted, "All at once! Break one of his legs! I'll take responsibility if anything happens!"
The beast men felt safe. With the backing of the fox tribe chief's sister and their female mate, they had no hesitation.
Tuzé sighed. "This is what you asked for."
"Flaming Fire Gold!"
Flames surrounded Tuzé's hands, and he attacked the beast men fiercely.
Three of them fell immediately.
The flames on their bodies were hard to put out. Some of the beasts, even in human form, still had fur, which turned into fireballs in an instant. Screams filled the area.
Even the reckless Faya was shocked by the scene.
Luckily, there were water-type beast men nearby to put out the fires, but the burn marks on the others were obvious.
Faya remembered—Tuzé was a lone wolf.
A lone wolf could do anything.
But she would not let him control her.
Faya recovered and said fiercely, "Tuzé, hurting your own kind is a serious crime. I'll tell the wolf tribe chief, and you'll be punished severely!"
Tuzé turned and walked toward Faya.
She panicked. "You! Are you going to burn me too?!"
He kept walking without stopping.
"I'm warning you! If anything happens to me, my brother won't forgive you!"
Faya stepped back until Tuzé reached out his hand. She instinctively covered her head.
Tuzé picked up the prey that had been placed nearby and kept moving forward.
The beast men quickly stepped aside to give him a path.
"Take the wounded to the shaman!" Faya snapped back to herself and said urgently. "Then we go to see the wolf tribe chief!"
Seeing the beast men, she felt disgusted.
Too bad—they can't be used anymore. I'll have to find others.
Faya walked while thinking and soon reached the shaman's house.
"What terrible luck!"
Not only did she clash with Tuzé today, she also met her most hated female, Kana.
Kana sensed Faya's hostility and wanted to speak, but seeing the wounded and the busy shaman, she held back and went into the room, closing the door.
But Faya didn't leave. She followed.
"Isn't this the female from before, Idris?"
Faya pushed open the door to Kana's room and saw that inside there was only a simple straw nest and an old, low table.
She said, "How can leaving Idris turn you into this?"
Then she looked at the beastmen. Idris was carrying an injured beastman to get treatment from the shaman.
He had seen Kana when he came in. Feeling guilty, he tried to avoid her, but Faya held her in place.
Seeing Idris's awkwardness, Faya grew even more annoyed and asked, "Looking so embarrassed, are you still thinking about your old lover?"
"If it really doesn't work out, I could even give you to Kana," she said with interest, looking at Kana.
Kana felt her scalp tingle. She disliked conflict and now had to deal with Faya holding her.
Well, she thought, might as well respond.
"I've already heard the news of your wedding. Congratulations."
"Also, Idris and I aren't involved, so there's no need to use me to make a point."
"You're the chieftain's sister. Are you afraid you can't attract the beastmen around you?"
Faya understood immediately. Kana wasn't just clarifying her relationship with Idris, she was also insulting Faya.
Thinking about her own beastman being unclear with another female before, and how she lied about Kana and Yujin being dead to trick Idris, Faya felt humiliated.
She glared and asked, "Don't think I don't know you're mocking me. Too bad, you and Idris will never have another chance."
Kana found it funny. I don't want anything with him either.
Seeing Kana stay silent, Faya thought she had hit a nerve and left her room satisfied.
Idris silently mouthed "sorry" to Kana, but she had already closed the door and didn't see him. She didn't care.
The shaman pulled Faya aside and whispered, "Some of the beastmen only have burned fur and are fine, but one is badly injured and will need long-term treatment."
Faya said casually, "Then let him recover here slowly."
The injured beastman groaned. Faya, annoyed, called Idris over.
"Tell that injured beastman to recover here. When he's healed, I'll find him a good female."
Idris looked at Faya in disbelief. "You want to break the promise?!"
Faya said lightly, as if breathing, "What promise? I'll find him a good female. I'm the chieftain's sister. It's not breaking a promise, it's giving him a chance."
She patted Idris on the shoulder and left with the other beastmen, leaving only one message in the wind:
"Tell him and come back quickly. Don't mess around with Kana!"
The shaman sighed. He knew breaking a male beast's promise was a huge humiliation, only done to those who deserved punishment.
He asked Idris with sympathy, "Who hurt him like this?"
Idris explained everything.
The shaman rubbed his forehead. Although Faya started the provocation, Tuzé went overboard too. The other side wouldn't forgive easily.
"Looks like Tuzé won't escape punishment."
At that moment, the person himself appeared, carrying huge beast-skin bags with both hands. He didn't even look at the injured, just headed for Kana's room.
The shaman, angry, asked, "Tuzé, look at what you're doing! Go apologize!"
Tuzé scratched his ear carelessly. "I stopped in time, didn't expect him to be this weak."
Kana had already heard what happened outside while in the room. After Faya left, she quickly went out to check on the injured.
"Kana, I brought you some fresh meat."
She didn't look at Tuzé and quietly treated the wounded.
"That guy is going to get betrayed by Faya. He has no eyes—choosing such a willful female beast."
Tuzé mercilessly spoke the truth into the wounded beast's ears.
The beast whimpered and then started crying.
Idris stayed silent, didn't explain anything, and turned to leave the healer's room.
Someone had already spoken for him. Staying here would do no good.
Kana comforted the injured beast.
Tuzé blocked her, confused. "Why are you helping him? Survival of the fittest."
Kana glared at Tuzé fiercely and ignored him.
She couldn't just stand by and watch him suffer.
"System, is there medicine for burns?"
"Yes, but it requires points. The host doesn't have enough points."
"Does the beast world guide have medicine for burns?"
"Yes."
The guide flipped to the page she knew well—Garnet Rock Flower. Grinding the red rocks it grows on into powder and mixing it with healing medicine works very well for burns.
Then the system opened the shop.
"Healing skill: Healing Art. Not learned."
"This is meat from a magical beast I hunted in the forest. It's delicious. Try some."
Tuzé took some meat from the bag.
Kana had no resistance to fresh meat, but thinking it was magical beast meat made her hesitant.
That beast might have even eaten other beasts before. Eating its meat made her uneasy.
"I don't want it. You eat it yourself."
"Try it. This is rare magical beast meat I hunted with great effort."
Kana avoided Tuzé while helping the healer treat the wounded.
The injured beast kept growling when it saw Tuzé.
The healer quickly comforted it. "Don't move, your wounds will get worse."
Seeing that Kana and the healer couldn't control the beast, Tuzé knocked it out.
"What's the matter? Watching me? Isn't this easier for you to treat him?"
The healer shook his head helplessly. "Alright, you didn't make things worse this time."
"The rest is me and Kana. You go out for now."
Tuzé didn't want to leave while Kana was here, but the healer insisted. Reluctantly, he picked up the medicine and applied it to the wound.
He had thought caring for the wounded was troublesome, but now he unexpectedly got time with Kana.
His mood improved instantly.
Seeing his better mood, the healer seriously said, "After this, Faya will definitely go to the Wolf Clan leader."
Tuzé's expression darkened at the words "Wolf Clan leader."
"They dare to go to the clan leader?"
The healer smiled proudly. "Now you understand fear?"
"Ha, let them go."
Tuzé smiled slightly. His wolf eyes turned to Kana, and he slowly said,
"Punish me, let me die, I would do it willingly."
