Chapter 262 - Chapter 262: Saki Kawasaki Troubles!

During the long break, Hayashi Maki headed up to the rooftop first.

Satania, cheeks flushed, hurried after him.

On the bench, Hayashi Maki beckoned her over. The silly little demon blushed, fidgeted twice, then slowly walked up. He took her by the arm, pulled her into his arms to sit on his lap—and without another word, pressed his lips to her soft, pink mouth.

Satania's body trembled, but her eyes went dewy. She wasn't actually dumb. By now she knew that kissing was the most intimate act between demons—basically a marriage contract. Because of that, she'd purposely kept her distance from Hayashi Maki for a while. But Vignette's recent power-up had given her a sense of crisis, so she'd come to be clingy today on purpose. To her delight, Hayashi Maki was just as passionate as ever.

She looped her arms around his neck, telling herself this was "for training." Even so, her heart fell for Hayashi Maki on its own, and her body went weak and soft.

I really like Hayashi Maki-senpai. He's so gentle with Satania.

While he was getting cozy with Satania, Hayashi Maki also sensed someone in the corner.

Saki Kawasaki!

It had been a while. She was hiding up here on the roof again—and had caught him in the act. So what was she doing up here during the mid-morning break instead of in class?

He was a little curious, but stayed focused on his own enjoyment. Satania might be ditzy, but she was very pretty—an adorable little demon, which humans simply couldn't compare with. He "instructed" her attentively, his hand unconsciously closing around her slim calf, toying with it. What could he do? He was a leg guy.

Satania's cheeks reddened further, but she didn't resist at all. After a bit, she nestled in his arms, rubbing her cheek against his chest and cooing, "Hayashi Maki-senpai, you're so good~"

He swallowed and pecked her lips. "Actually, I'm very bad."

Satania, still blushing, leaned against him. "Well, I think you're super nice." She wanted to say "I like you most," but couldn't bring herself to.

He patted her head, cuddled a while longer, then sent her off. When her silhouette vanished from sight, he looked toward the corner.

"Kawasaki, you can come out."

Saki Kawasaki's cheeks were faintly pink, but her expression was fairly calm. "I was here first," she pointed out.

"I know," Hayashi Maki said with a smile. "Just saying hi." He waved. "See you later. I'm heading back to class."

He wasn't in a rush with Kawasaki. There were already too many girls around him; clingy Ako alone took effort to handle—never mind someone he hadn't even "made a move on" yet.

"Wait."

She stopped him. He turned, puzzled. "What is it?"

She bit her lip and slowly stepped closer. "Could you… lend me some money?"

"Huh? Borrow money?" Hayashi Maki was taken aback. "From what I've seen, you're the type with a lot of pride. I heard you're working a part-time job lately, too. Did something happen—serious enough that you're asking a 'bad guy' like me?"

At his calling himself a bad guy, Saki's body trembled. Thinking of her family's situation, her shoulders slumped. "I don't have a choice. Distant water won't put out a nearby fire. What I make part-time won't solve my problem."

"My parents had a workplace accident and were sent to the ICU… They're out of immediate danger, but they're basically being kept alive by machines. We need a large sum for surgery."

Hayashi Maki suddenly remembered the morning news. "The two workers seriously hurt in that shoddy construction accident—are they your parents?"

Saki nodded, face clouded with grief. "I should really be at the ICU right now… but I thought I'd try my luck at school."

Her eyes flicked to him, full of hope. Hakuo Academy had plenty of rich heirs and heiresses. Any one of them could make her problem go away with a single gesture. But why would they help a stranger?

Working part-time had already shown her the gap between herself and those rich girls… and now, with her parents' lives on the line, even if she swallowed her pride to beg, how much leverage did she have?

So she thought of Hayashi Maki. Yes, he was a womanizer—but even the famous "Angel" was his girlfriend. Maybe there was a chance? He had even told her before that he "admired" her.

Looking at the sorrowful Saki, Hayashi Maki sat down on the bench and patted his thigh.

"Kawasaki, I can help you. But you know as well as I do—there's no free lunch."

"I know." Face flushing, she gritted her teeth, stepped over, and—nervous—sat on his lap.

He cupped her face, stroking her delicate cheek, lifting her chin. "So you're prepared. Then I won't be polite. Don't worry—I may be bad, but I'm a responsible man."

He leaned in and kissed her cherry lips.

"Mm—"

Saki reflexively squeezed her eyes shut. In that moment, she felt she had no dignity left before this man. Before, she could have squarely refused him, even ignored his gaze. But now—trading her body and "purity"—what dignity was there?

Tears pricked at her eyes.

"Be good. Look at me," Hayashi Maki murmured. "From today on, I'm your support, Saki. I'm very possessive—I won't hand you to anyone."

At his words, she opened her eyes on instinct and stared into his, as if to etch his image deep in her mind.

Hayashi Maki didn't hold back. One hand slid to her slim calf; while "seriously instructing" her, he kept kissing her lips. Honestly, he hadn't expected Saki to be in such a bind—but it wasn't a problem. In the end, he'd come out ahead.

At first, Saki was tense; it was her first time kissing and hugging a man. But under Hayashi Maki's gentle guidance, she gradually relaxed.

This guy… is really experienced…
