A year later.
Undulations of a coup had arisen in the Uchiha clan following the death of Shisui, but Fugaku had restrained and squashed the plan with an iron fist but in the darkness, those thoughts festered and the hokage faction had become aware of the coup.
In the Hokage's office;
"Hiruzen! I am warning you, if you keep coddling the Uchiha and they launch a coup there wont be a Konoha! The other 3 villages will wipe us out.Either you make a move or I will!" Danzo slammed his walking stick down, following the battle with Uchiha Shisui his leg was injured but he had also replaced his right eye with Shisui Uchiha's mangekyo sharingan.
"Danzo, you will do no such thing! The Uchiha are part of Konoha and we can still negotiate." Hiruzen said, massaging his forehead. He knew that although Danzo advocated for wiping out the Uchiha, he would not take to the front lines himself. His idea of self-sacrifice was everyone but himself.
Over the past year he had been very vocal about wiping out the Uchiha clan something Hiruzen guessed stemmed from the mangekyo sharingan but his judgement was flawed. The mangekyo sharingan was not only what made Madara Uchiha a force to be reckoned with; his indomitable will like the first hokage made him a terror. Hiruzen hypothesized that there was some greater power beyond the mangekyo sharingan but as what he didn't know, perhaps only Madara had reached such a power.
It was common knowledge among the hokage faction that users of the mangekyo sharingan eventually lost sight given the history between the Uchiha and Senju. "Which clan is strong enough to move against the Uchiha? Perhaps the Hyuga but they have chosen to remain neutral." Hiruzen said. "Assassination." Danzo curtly replied. Homura wanted to sigh, 'Assassination against the Uchiha and at the center of the village. Impossible. The Uchiha have had sentries posted constantly; there is no way to enter covertly.'
"Just give me time to negotiate with Fugaku." Hiruzen finally said and put an end to the meeting.
In the village outside the Uchiha compound,
A cloaked figure suddenly appeared, his gaze latching onto the compound. "It's good to be back." Obito mumbled."Zetsu, begin."
"As you wish." Zetsu vanished underground. He created 5 spore clones that headed to the north, south, west, east and center of the compound. Silently, they released a sleeping scent that gradually mixed in with the surrounding air. The scent was light and came from a plant in the land of water.
"Huh? What's this smell?" Yashiro stopped walking and sniffed the air just as he was about to give orders, "Sealing: Lair of the beast!" Immediately, countless seals spread around the compound and into the air, forming a slightly transparent dome.'Finally.' Obito observed the Uchiha clan members as they rushed about collecting weapons ready form an ambush. "Unfortunately, there is no escape." The dome allowed entry but no exit.
Obito had spent the past year "Convincing" seal grandmasters of the 4 great villages to set up this seal formation. Of course, those grandmasters were no longer in the world of the living.Flicking out two black rods he rushed into the Uchiha clan members beginning his massacre. The weaker ones had fallen to the scent, "Incoming! Go call the clan leader." Yashiro shouted, gripping his kunai he advanced towards Obito.
Several seconds later a Uchiha arrived at Fugaku's house just as he about to knock the door abruptly opened. "Where?" Fugaku asked, "Northeast clan lord. Yashiro is confronting the enemy."Fugaku immediately let out a signal flare, with a pop a red tint filled the sky above the Uchiha clan but outside the compound the sky remained as normal except for the absence of the guards at the Uchiha compound.
"Hare! Hurry to the hokage. Tell him something has happened to the Uchiha clan. I believe they are under attack, a massive seal barrier is covering both the sky and underground. "Immediately as the barrier went up, the Anbu watching the compound sensed the disappearance of many chakra signatures as if they had entered a veil. In the compound; "Fire style: Great fireball jutsu." Yashiro launched ninjutsu while analyzing the enemy, 'How are supposed to fight someone who can phase through attacks.' He stood one-armed as a bloody bandage covered his left arm. From behind him, "Move Yashiro!" after he instantly flickered "Fire style: Yakinitsu."

A storm of pale blue fire hit the streets of the compound, already evacuated as Fugaku flickered in, his eyes the mangekyo sharingan. Yakinitsu was an ability of his mangekyo sharingan. Seeing the clan leader Yashiro's tense face relaxed. Observing another mangekyo sharingan, 'As I thought. It's too risky to leave them alive.' The air next to him distorted as out of it appeared an orange haired man wearing a cloak with red clouds on it."You said 'I will take care of it myself', what happened?" His rinnegan focusing intently on Fugaku. Fugaku's heart skipped a beat as he gazed upon the rinnegan.
"Yashiro! Evacuate everyone or else the clan will be annihilated."
"It's impossible clan lord. The barrier restricts our exit but permits entry. Elder Setsuna is currently analysing the barrier as we speak." Yashiro answered his face grim; the aura of that orange-haired man gave him the creeps. He understood that if their clan leader fell, then the Uchiha clan was finished."Alright then, move as far away from the battle as possibl-" His words were cut short by a pulling force dragging him towards Pain. With a flick of his wrist, a black rod made its way towards Fugaku's heart…
"Crack!" Yellow fragments fell off the ribcage surrounding Fugaku. Instantly arm was constructed and slammed at Pain "Almighty Push!" Fugaku felt the air knocked out of him as he shot into the air, crashing into buildings.
Pain looked at Obito, "Let's finish this fast." He flickered towards Fugaku as Obito followed him from behind his sharingan closely watching Pain. Pain felt his gaze but ignored it.
At the gate leading into Konoha, a squad of 4 appeared, led by a young boy. Itachi felt a chill, trusting his gut. "Let's hurry to the clan compound. Something feels wrong." The squad of 4, including a Kunoichi who stared lovingly at Itachi rushed towards the Uchiha compound.
