It all made sense. Black simply absorbed all the light, making everything around him gloomy. With Alpha's personality, Alpha Kane definitely needed to surround himself with less of this color to be cheerful sometimes.
"Why is the door black?" I couldn't help but ask, still holding the cookie jar.
Alpha Kane extended his hand and asked.
"Give me a cookie, and I'll explain."
I handed him the jar, and Alpha Kane took it, his rough fingertips barely brushing mine, like tiny sparks crackling with tension.
Taking the jar, Alpha Kane stepped back and proudly placed it on the coffee table before lounging on his incredibly comfortable sofa. Alpha Kane rested his hand on the curved back of the sofa and patted the space next to him with his other hand, beckoning me to approach.
