The clouds floated in the air, ignoring gravity, and Leon reached out to retrieve them into his backpack.
He turned his head to look at the dark corner, and sure enough, that elusive Smiling Wraith was still lurking not far from him, peeking.
"This guy…"
Leon slowly walked towards this somewhat special Smiling Wraith, extending his hand and waving, saying, "Come here, I promise not to hurt you."
The Smiling Wraith didn't believe him.
As Leon advanced, it retreated.
"You lead me to other Entities, and I guarantee your safety, really!"
This was sincere; regardless of the Smiling Wraith's strength, it seemed to possess the ability to sense the presence of other Entities.
However, his words clearly lacked persuasiveness. Seeing that the Smiling Wraith still maintained a certain distance from him, Leon smiled helplessly and said, "Forget it, if you like following, then follow."
He turned his head and continued walking deeper.
At the same time, he cursed inwardly: 'It's not falling for it…'
The environment of Level 3 was honestly not very good. Living in such an environment for a long time would inevitably lead to a series of negative conditions and illnesses.
He stepped on the dusty ground.
Leon continuously cleared out various power rooms, obtaining a large amount of useful and useless supplies.
"So much… When Eric returns, I'll have him take these to sell to other organizations in the Backrooms. These electronic parts and such should still be useful to various groups."
He left the recently scavenged power room.
Just then, a balloon floated in the corridor.
"Partygoer?"
No matter the level, whenever a floating balloon is seen, it's 99% a Partygoer's trap.
These Partygoers, who only know how to party, would lure Wanderers in various levels.
Leon opened his mini-map but didn't see any Partygoer.
"It seems Partygoers have the ability to glitch."
In the Backrooms, 'glitching' refers to using the Backrooms' characteristics to perform level jumps.
Leon took the Combat Banner from his backpack and walked towards the floating balloon. He glanced at the mini-map again, then reached out and grabbed the string tied to the balloon.
The red balloon spun once, revealing a smiling face drawn on it.
Leon, who had been staring intently at the mini-map, suddenly turned around and raised the Combat Banner in his hand.
A bright yellow Partygoer had appeared behind him at some unknown point. This Partygoer had smooth, leathery skin, and its "face" was etched with a cartoon smile, making it look like a human wearing a thick raincoat. Its body was covered in many blood graffiti.
Aside from that, it had no other functional features.
As soon as the Partygoer appeared, it reached out to grab him, its oral cavity in its palm already open, a small mouth with a ring of sharp teeth that made one's scalp tingle.
However, the Combat Banner was still trustworthy.
It easily blocked the Partygoer's attack, even allowing Leon ample time to think.
"Are Partygoers that tall? I thought they were about the same size as humans…"
The Partygoer in front of him was at least two and a half meters tall, and its body was very robust. Even without special abilities, this physique was not something a human could contend with.
The Partygoer's weakness was its slowness, though this was relative to other Entities.
However, Leon felt their slowness was just a cat playing with a mouse.
[Health 56/60]
The Partygoer's health was not high, but its ability to appear suddenly was incredibly abnormal. For a lone Wanderer, this was undoubtedly a death knell.
With a flick of his wrist, the iron axe appeared in his hand, and he forcefully chopped at the Partygoer's body. The iron axe sliced through the Partygoer's cowhide-like skin, but no liquid flowed from the wound.
[Health 49/60]
"Its defense is quite high…"
Leon murmured softly, and the iron axe in his hand fell again.
Under the dual discipline of the Combat Banner and the iron axe, the Partygoer did not last long before being knocked to the ground.
He threw the Partygoer's corpse into his backpack.
A bold idea popped into Leon's mind.
'The Partygoer's strength is so weak… Should I go to Level Fun and play around…'
Level Fun
Danger Level 0 =)
Level Fun =) is the happiest level in the entire Backrooms!
Small party rooms, with lots of cakes, cookies, and almond water. We have so much fun here! =) Don't spoil the Host's fun.
(Please don't believe anything with =).)
Level Fun is actually the Partygoer's lair, where they hold never-ending parties.
Their purpose seems to be just for parties.
It's beyond describing it as merely overrun with Entities.
Basically, every room inside has Partygoers.
After this thought emerged, Leon directly raised his hand and lightly slapped himself.
"You're getting too ahead of yourself. Level Fun has the Party Host. Wait a bit longer, and go check it out after getting stronger equipment."
The Party Host is a giant glutenous monster that appears to be made of cake, with a large humanoid eye in the center of its mass. Party Hosts are fixed in place, as they cling to surfaces including ceilings and cannot move.
Partygoers usually obey the Host's commands, similar to a hive mind system.
In reality, Partygoers were originally neutral Entities, but they were misled by the Party Host and began to constantly attack Wanderers.
This information came from some Partygoers not controlled by the Party Host.
They just want to party! They have no interest in humans or anything else.
Seeing him so brutally dispatch a Partygoer, the Smiling Wraith in the distance seemed to move even further away from him.
Leon looked up at it and flashed a brilliant smile, his posture very much like he was saying, 'You're next.'
With no more Entities around, Leon continued forward. Just then, an elevator with a completely different art style from its surroundings appeared in his line of sight.
The brand new elevator looked like something from a high-end hotel.
"Exit? So fast?"
Leon was very surprised to see the elevator. He had only been in Level 3 for a grand total of four or five hours.
For ordinary Wanderers, if they didn't have level information, getting out of Level 3 would be extremely, extremely difficult.
(Suqie Association, please sit down!)
He looked at the dim Level 3.
"Let's open a new map first. Anyway, I can always come back… Speaking of which, Level 4, the abandoned office, does it have a lot of paper?"
Giving up Level 3 is impossible, never in this lifetime.
Level 3 is a level with a relatively large amount of supplies, and most importantly, it is much safer than other resource-rich levels.
When the Villagers get tired of Level 1, he'll send them to Level 3 to explore.
He pressed the button.
As the elevator door opened, Leon stepped inside.
