Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Moon Reborn

In the void above, Madara hovered upon a floating platform of chakra, his cloak rippling as the Eternal 16-Tomoe Rinnegan burned like a miniature sun in his eye. With every breath, he poured his divine energy into the broken fragments of the old moon, commanding them to reform into a new celestial body—a throne of unmatched power.

Below, the nations had rebuilt and prepared: Konoha's walls gleamed with chakra seals, the Cloud forged thunder cannons, and the Sand buried its deserts with sensor fields. Naruto stood atop the Hokage Tower, feeling the weight of a distant pulse in the sky, while Sasuke, cloaked in shadows, stared at the growing orb and muttered that Madara was attempting to bend nature itself.

For two long years, nothing came—no Akatsuki, no Ōtsutsuki, only rain falling endlessly over Budekan. But then, one night, the silence shattered.

Madara raised his hand, and black chakra threads erupted from the ground, his voice calm and dreadful as he whispered, "The time of waiting is over. Go—collect my beasts."

The Akatsuki scattered like phantoms. Pain descended upon the Hidden Cloud, meeting Yugito and the raging Two-Tails; the clash lit the mountains blue. When Yugito unleashed her full flame, Pain responded with a silent wave of his hand—Shinra Tensei—turning the inferno into a collapsing star before sealing her within a sphere of earth.

Far away, Itachi faced Roshi amid molten rivers; Amaterasu devoured magma itself, and his genjutsu wove the illusion of a thousand suns until the Four-Tails fell into stillness.

In the storming rain, Kisame met Utakata, their oceans colliding, bubbles bursting like grenades, water turning crimson as Samehada drank the Six-Tails dry. Hidan and Kakuzu tore through the steam armor of Han; lightning and ritual blood merged, and the Five-Tails collapsed beneath the Jashin symbol glowing beneath its own feet.

Above the forests, Konan's paper wings clashed against Fu's insect storms—a ballet of death that ended when a thousand tags detonated mid-air, raining white ash over the ruins.

One by one, the Jinchūriki fell. The Akatsuki returned to Budekan carrying the sealed beasts, and deep beneath the Rain Village, Madara and Obito began the unthinkable.

In the red-lit cavern, six massive orbs pulsed like beating hearts.

"Their wills were wild," Madara murmured, placing his hand upon the surface, "but now they shall serve the Eternal Eye."

Chakra erupted, seals blazed, and from the orbs crawled new monsters—Eternal Beasts—clones of the tailed ones but larger, darker, enslaved to his command. They roared as one, shaking the stone, their eyes empty and obedient.

The ground quaked as the moon pulsed overhead, feeding on their energy, its glow turning crimson. Then the sky itself cracked. A white meteor tore through the clouds, burning with cosmic flame, and when it crashed, the world bent beneath its weight.

From the crater rose Moshikiagi, an Ōtsutsuki unlike any before, his body wrapped in living light, his eyes spiraling with galaxies.

"So this is the world Kaguya failed to tame," he said, voice echoing like thunder. "Pitiful."

Madara, sensing him from afar, only smiled. "Another force enters the board."

Naruto and Sasuke appeared beside the crater, golden and blue chakra flaring in unison.

"We've fought powerful foes before," Naruto growled.

"But never one who twists reality itself," Sasuke replied, summoning his Susanoo as Moshikiagi raised his hand and conjured black stars that pulled the battlefield into orbit.

The earth shattered into floating islands. Naruto hurled Rasenshuriken: Planetary Spiral; Moshikiagi countered with a beam that split clouds apart, and the collision birthed a new sun in the sky. Sasuke's Susanoo struck through the explosion, blades cutting across dimensions.

"You cannot destroy what is infinite!" Moshikiagi roared.

"Then we'll just surpass infinity," Sasuke answered, , his sword piercing Moshikiagi's chest.

Energy exploded outward, bending light itself; Naruto shielded them both with Kurama's fading cloak as the alien screamed and dissolved into starlight.

When the smoke cleared, Sasuke stood trembling, blood dripping from his eye—the Six-Tomoe Rinnegan reborn. Naruto's aura flickered weakly beside him. They looked up at the half-formed moon glowing crimson over Budekan.

"It's not over," Sasuke whispered. "Madara still lives, and he commands beasts that obey the Eternal Eye."

Naruto gave a tired smile. "Then we'll save this world… even if it kills us."

Their chakra intertwined, golden and indigo swirling as the night winds carried their vow.

Far above, on his floating throne, Madara watched through the eye of the moon, the reflection of two heroes burning defiantly against his creation, and his lips curved into a cold smile.

"Let them come," he said softly. "The unstoppable will fall—but only to one."

The moon pulsed once, casting its shadow across the Earth, and the age of mortals ended as the age of the divine force began anew.
