The helicopter Uncle Li had arranged was small and agile, piloted by one of Alexander's most trusted operatives. As they lifted off from the extraction point, Emily looked back at Eleanor's estate—lights blazing, security vehicles converging, the controlled fortress descending into chaos.
"Julian's working fast," Alexander said, watching his phone as messages poured in. "Three more board members have demanded Eleanor's resignation. The company's legal team is reviewing the contracts I signed, and they're already flagging the coercion angle."
"Will it be enough?" Emily asked.
"It'll be enough to tie her up in legal battles for years," Alexander replied. "But first, we need to catch her."
Through the helicopter's windscreen, Emily could see the Swiss Alps spreading before them—jagged peaks silhouetted against the night sky, snow gleaming in the moonlight. Beautiful and treacherous in equal measure.
