Chapter 8: Su Yuntao is Quite Good
Inside the Hall Master's office within the Nuoding City Branch Hall.
Aotian leaned back in the Hall Master's comfortable office chair, watching a voluptuous, beautiful woman standing respectfully across from the desk.
This woman was the Hall Master of the Nuoding City Branch Hall. She appeared to be around forty, wearing black-rimmed glasses and a tight-fitting professional suit that made her seem very shrewd and capable.
She poured Aotian a cup of tea, then pulled a Spirit Awakening Certificate and an admission notice for Nuoding Academy from the desk, saying:
"Young Master Ao, this is the certificate issued to you by the Nuoding City Branch Hall."
Aotian's expression was calm, and he nodded slightly.
He first looked at the Spirit Awakening Certificate. It had his name written on it, stating his Spirit was a Golden Dragon, with Innate Full Spirit Power, and his identity was that of a child from Shangshui Village near Nuoding City.
Both this Spirit type and Innate Spirit Power were what he had requested. Although he didn't like being high-profile, he also disliked being overly low-profile. In his view, Innate Level Ten Spirit Power was just right.
As for his identity, it was forged. Otherwise, it would be quite unreasonable for him, a genius from Spirit Hall, to attend school in a place like this.
To study at Nuoding City Junior Soul Master Academy, one first needed an Awakening Certificate issued by the Nuoding City Branch Hall.
With this certificate and the admission notice, Aotian would be able to smoothly enter Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy.
While Aotian reviewed the documents, the middle-aged woman was also observing him.
She was very surprised. Although the little boy in front of her seemed to be only six or seven years old, his presence made her feel as if a heavy mountain was pressing down on her heart.
She had originally intended to coax Aotian like any ordinary child, but the subtle pressure he exuded forced her to abandon that idea.
"As expected of a genius from the Pope's Palace, even I, a Soul Ancestor, can't hope to match such an aura," the woman thought to herself.
She decided that she absolutely had to build a good relationship with Aotian; perhaps she could rise to prominence in the future...
Aotian put down the documents and said, "I've troubled you, Hall Master Li. Please arrange a room for me to rest now."
"Young Master Ao, you're too kind. His Holiness, the Pope, has already given instructions that I am to fulfill any of your requests," the female Hall Master quickly replied. "Please follow me."
The small-statured Aotian followed behind Hall Master Li. He was only as tall as her hips, and this scene immediately attracted the gazes of countless deacons within the Branch Hall.
Although the Nuoding City Branch Hall was quite small, it still had over a dozen deacons. These people had previously seen the Hall Master solemnly bring Aotian back, but they didn't know his identity, so they were extremely curious.
Hall Master Li suddenly paused, waved towards the crowd, and called out, "Si Si, come here."
"Oh," a girl responded, quickly walking towards Aotian.
She appeared to be around twenty years old, tall and curvaceous, stretching her Spirit Hall uniform taut. Her every movement attracted the fervent gazes of many male deacons.
"Is this Si Si? The woman who has Su Yuntao head over heels?" Aotian's gaze also fell upon Si Si.
Afterward, his gaze swept over the male deacons. "I wonder which one is Su Yuntao?" he thought to himself.
Si Si quickly caught up with Hall Master Li, then turned to glance at Aotian, her gaze lingering on his face, unable to move away.
This little boy's appearance was simply too stunning; she had never seen such a handsome little boy before.
"Hall Master, who is he?" Si Si whispered.
"A genius from the Pope's Palace," Hall Master Li replied.
Si Si's eyes lit up, and she turned back to give Aotian another deep look.
A genius from the Pope's Palace was a truly important figure.
People from Nuoding City like them would likely spend their entire lives in this small corner of the world, but if they could forge a connection with a genius from the Pope's Palace...
Thinking of this, Si Si couldn't help but glance gratefully at the Hall Master.
A short while later, the group arrived at a tidied guest room.
"Young Master Ao, Nuoding Academy doesn't start until tomorrow. Please rest here tonight."
Aotian nodded and said, "You may all leave."
Hall Master Li said, "Young Master Ao, this is Si Si from our Nuoding City Branch Hall. You can seek her out for anything you need."
She then looked at Si Si and said, "Si Si, Young Master Ao will be under your care."
Si Si smiled, her expression somewhat excited, and said, "Don't worry, I will take good care of Young Master Ao."
As she spoke, her hand reached out to stroke Aotian's head, and she said gently, "Little brother, you're truly handsome."
Hall Master Li was startled and tried to stop her, but it was already too late.
Aotian tilted his head up, looking at the woman who was nearly 1.8 meters tall, and let out a cold snort.
The temperature in the entire room plummeted, and a terrifying chill invaded the two women's bodies, drilling into their bone marrow and souls.
They found that they couldn't move, and an involuntary, immense fear surged within their hearts.
It was as if a ferocious demonic dragon was staring at them, ready to tear them to shreds the next moment.
A tiger's backside can't be touched, and neither can a great dragon's head.
This chill only lasted for half a minute, but the two women were on the verge of collapsing. Just as they were about to faint, Aotian finally withdrew his killing intent.
"Hah... hah..."
The two women collapsed weakly to the ground, gasping for air and staring at Aotian with lingering fear, as if looking at a demon.
"Do you like Su Yuntao?" Aotian glanced at Si Si.
Si Si didn't know why Aotian would ask such a question.
Just as she was considering how to reply, her mouth opened uncontrollably. "No, I don't like him. That guy shamelessly pursued me. I only kept stringing him along because I saw some value in him; otherwise, I would have rejected him long ago."
"You may leave," Aotian said.
The two women felt their bodies relax, and only then did they realize their clothes were drenched in cold sweat.
Hall Master Li, with her Soul Ancestor cultivation, barely managed to stand up, her legs still feeling a bit weak.
She pulled Si Si up and forced a smile. "Young Master Ao, please rest. We won't disturb you any further."
"By the way, Su Yuntao is quite good. Have him escort me to Nuoding Academy to register tomorrow," Aotian said.
Hall Master Li was surprised, but she still smiled and said, "Alright, I'll arrange it."
After the two women left, Aotian finally sat down.
The reason he specifically named Su Yuntao to escort him was due to a small bit of sympathy he felt for the man.
Whether it was in his past life reading the books or now, he felt this young man had it tough.
Because of his specific request this time, Su Yuntao's status in the Nuoding City Branch Hall should increase significantly.
"Attending school again... I really do feel a bit nostalgic..."
...
"Hall Master, that child..."
"Shut your mouth!" Hall Master Li reprimanded in a low voice. "That is a lord from the Pope's Palace. Remember, never offend him in the future. Address him as Young Master Ao, or 'Sir'."
She quickly pulled Si Si away. Only after they were far from Aotian's room did she noticeably relax.
"That lord's strength is absolutely far greater than mine," Hall Master Li said, her face filled with shock.
"How is that possible? He's so small!" Si Si exclaimed.
"Nothing is impossible," Hall Master Li said coldly. "Do you realize that your foolish action just now almost got both of us killed?"
Cold sweat broke out on Si Si again, and a wave of lingering fear washed over her.
"Hall Master, I know I was wrong," Si Si said, lowering her head.
"It's good that you know your mistake. Go inform Su Yuntao to take Young Master Ao to Nuoding Academy tomorrow morning... No, I'll go tell him myself. You go back first. Remember, don't get loose-lipped and reveal Young Master Ao's identity."
With that, Hall Master Li hastily departed.
"Su Yuntao..." Si Si suddenly felt that Su Yuntao, who was always around her, was so incredibly handsome and dashing...
The next day, early morning.
When Aotian stepped out of his room, Su Yuntao was already waiting respectfully at the door.
"Good morning, Young Master Ao," Su Yuntao called out.
