Days passed quietly.
Lin Xuan's courtyard generally only had three types of visitors.
Lin Dong and Lin Xia would occasionally come to exchange skills and chat.
Qing Tan, however, visited frequently and sometimes even stayed at Lin Xuan's house temporarily, especially during periods when her cold ailment flared up.
Because Qing Tan came so often.....and sometimes even stayed overnight.....her mother, Liu Yan, noticed and worried that the two were still young, fearing improper behavior might occur.
Lin Xiao and Liu Yan questioned Qing Tan about this.
But Qing Tan, wanting to protect Lin Xuan's treasured secret, refused to reveal anything no matter what.
Fortunately, Lin Dong knew the hidden situation and informed Lin Xuan in time.
With Lin Xuan's permission, Lin Dong explained to his parents that Lin Xuan could help Qing Tan relieve her cold ailment, saving her from parental scolding.
Lin Xiao was very curious. Something he couldn't handle himself, Lin Xuan managed with ease.
Unfortunately, no matter how much he pressed, Lin Dong didn't know the details.
He only knew that Lin Xuan had resolved the cold ailment; the specifics were known only to Lin Xuan and Qing Tan.
Qing Tan said it was Lin Xuan's secret. Lin Xuan forbade her from revealing it and also told her parents not to pressure her further.
At this point, Lin Xiao felt embarrassed to continue asking.
With this layer of assistance, they agreed Qing Tan could visit Lin Xuan's house.
From now on, Lin Xuan and Qing Tan could openly spend time together.
Of course, Lin Xuan did nothing improper with Qing Tan.
Apart from helping her during cold attacks, they maintained distance and did not share a bed at night.
Still, Qing Tan was a young girl just reaching maturity.
Staying overnight in Lin Xuan's house as the only girl with a young man in his prime naturally made Lin Dong's mother uneasy.
She often insisted that Lin Dong accompany Qing Tan when she stayed at Lin Xuan's house.
Lin Xuan didn't object; his courtyard was large enough for extra people.
However, with Lin Dong and Qing Tan present, it became harder for the Huomang Tiger family to move around freely.
Hu Ying (the adult tiger) was obedient, but the three little tigers were too lively and energetic. Whether in the alchemy furnace or a small room, keeping them confined hindered their growth.
Lin Xuan didn't want to raise three introverted little tigers.
So, he had no choice but to explain the situation to Lin Dong and Qing Tan.
Lin Xuan never intended to hide the Huomang Tigers forever, but before gaining the strength to deal with the Lei and Xie families, it was best not to reveal them.
Soon, surpassing the Lei and Xie families wouldn't take long.
Lin Xuan was close to breaking through to the Tianyuan Realm.
Even if the families discovered them now, they could hold their ground for a while with the Huomang Tigers' cooperation.
More importantly, Lin Dong and Qing Tan were reliable. Lin Xuan trusted them.
With their help as cover, the Huomang Tigers would have more space, and Lin Xuan couldn't care for all three on his own anyway.
Following Lin Xuan's instructions, Hu Ying opened the door and let the three little cuties out of the back room.
"Ying…ya ya!"
"Roar! Roar! Roar~!"
Hu Wei arrived first, followed by Ying.
The three little cuties ran out excitedly after being confined for several days, rushing into the courtyard.
Lin Dong and Lin Xuan were practicing martial arts in the courtyard while Qing Tan was punching nearby.
"Wow, little tigers!"
Qing Tan was the first to react, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the adorable, fluffy cubs.
"Roar! Roar! Roar!"
The cubs, seeing Qing Tan for the first time, were cautious and growled, their tiny teeth gnashing. Cute but fierce.
"Huomang Tiger cubs!"
Lin Xuan and Lin Dong stopped as well. Lin Dong swallowed nervously.
"Lin Xuan, when did you raise three little Huomang Tigers?" he asked, astonished.
"Ah, how did you all get out?" Lin Xuan feigned anger, patting his thigh as he approached the little cubs.
"Woof! Woof! Woof!"
The cubs immediately stopped growling and wagged their tails like little dogs, rushing to Lin Xuan and climbing around his legs.
"So cute!"
"Lin Xuan, I want to hug them!"
Qing Tan's eyes sparkled. She reached out to cuddle the fluffy little tigers.
"Roar!"
A deep, powerful growl came from the room.
The three cubs instantly quieted, wary.
Lin Dong and Qing Tan turned toward the sound and saw a massive tiger head peeking from the doorway.
It was Hu Ying, tilting its head while spying.
"Huomang Tiger!" Lin Dong tensed, immediately entering combat mode.
Qing Tan clutched Lin Xuan's hand, slightly frightened.
"Don't worry, it's my pet," Lin Xuan said calmly.
"Hu Ying, come out."
Almost two meters tall with a tail extending five or six meters, Hu Ying stepped out.
Its body made the courtyard seem small.
The aura of a Tianyuan Realm beast radiated.....a true king among beasts.
