Chapter 6 - His Queen

Aunt Brinda teased with a mischievous grin, "So much love already? You've barely even met a day!" šŸ˜‰

Adheer, eyes dreamy and a charming smile playing on his lips, replied, "Inse mohabbat karne ke liye ek din nahi, ek lamha hi kafi hai."

(One day isn't needed to love her; a single moment is enough.)

Kaya stared at him, her eyes a mix of trust and uncertainty, her heart struggling to believe… Could this be real, or just a beautiful dream unfolding before her very eyes? Her soul hovered between reality and fantasy, longing to trust in the sweet surprise of this love…

"Okay, okay, that's enough! This ritual will happen tomorrow morning, but first, there's another one that must take place."

(Author: It's already so late, won't trouble them more tonight—so I'll continue tomorrow šŸ˜‹)

A servant arrived carrying a large bronze bowl, setting it carefully on the table. Inside it were water, milk, and rose petals.

Dadi then instructed them to sit opposite each other. One by one, everyone approached and stood by Kaya's side.

Yuvraj teased Adheer playfully, "Oh, poor brother all alone, while you…"

Suddenly, a voice boomed from the main gate:

"Mere hote hue meri girlfriend akele kaise ho sakti hai?"

(How can my girlfriend be alone when I'm here?)

A boy leapt forward, excitement radiating as he ran to Adheer and hugged him tightly. Pretending to be dramatic, fake tears rolling down his cheeks, he exclaimed, "Meri girlfriend, meri najayaz wife… you got married while I was still alive and forgot about me?" and began mock-crying.

The Shekhawat family erupted in laughter at the scene, and even Kaira couldn't help but giggle, saying, "Mahir bhai, stop it now, bhabhi is also here!"

Whenever a beautiful, laughter-filled voice rings out beside Adheer, it belongs to Kaya—and the way she laughs, radiant and carefree, she seems like an angel sent straight from heaven.

Adheer's eyes fall upon her, and words escape almost involuntarily: "Even the moonlight would pale in comparison to you. If anyone asks, we'd tell them how breathtaking you are." He's lost in her dark, ocean-like eyes, drowning in their depth.

"Enough of this laughter and teasing, let's move on with the rituals," Dadi says firmly, bringing everyone back to order.

Sandhya, Adheer's aunt, drops a ring into the ceremonial bowl, declaring, "Whoever finds the ring first will rule for the rest of their life."

Adheer leans close and whispers mischievously, "Chala lijiye apna raaj aur bana lijiye hume apna gulam."

(Take your reign and make me your servant.)

Together, Adheer and Kaya plunge their hands into the bowl, searching for the hidden ring. The Shekhawat family cheers Kaya on enthusiastically: "Kaya, find it! We know you'll win!"

Mahir, ever the drama king, leans over to Kaya with a theatrical grin: "By the way, bhabhi, I'm on your side… but now, I guess I'll have to side with this idiot." (He glances at Adheer.)

Turning to Adheer, he teases, "Hey idiot, now you'll have to search for the ring and become your wife's gulam, won't you?" Then in a softer whisper, "If she finds it, fine… I'll even become her gulam myself."

Both teams continue their playful banter. Kaya searches diligently for the ring, her fingers brushing the water and petals, but it eludes her—because Adheer had already secretly picked it up. He chuckles silently to himself, entertained by Kaya's adorable, frustrated expressions.

When she finally makes a little crying face, he cannot resist. With subtle precision, he slips the ring into her hand, unnoticed by the family.

Her eyes meet his, filled with love, and she smiles softly. The family sees the ring in her hand, realizing she has won, and everyone erupts with joy, teasing Adheer: "Now get ready to become your wife's slave!"

Mahir playfully smacks Adheer on the head: "Useless! Even Pixel, our college dog, is more useful than you!"

Dadi steps in, announcing that two more rounds remain, and the ultimate winner will be decided after they conclude.

In the following rounds, Adheer does little, content just to watch his Little Ocean—Kaya—win.

Finally, Adheer's younger brother, Angad, grins and says, "Brother, from today onwards, you're our bhabhi's gulam!" The cousins and siblings erupt in playful teasing.

Adheer gazes at Kaya, his voice soft yet filled with adoration: "Yes, from today onwards, I'm her gulam, and she is my Queen."

Hearing this from Adheer, the entire family cheers and hoots, celebrating the love and mischief between the newlyweds.
