Windsor's POV
Being around Pauline always made me feel weightless, like I could breathe freely for the first time in years.
That sense of safety was exactly what made me careless.
I screwed up.
My hands flew to cover the mark as I spun toward her, eyes wide with shock. Words formed on my lips but died before I could speak them. Complete panic flooded through me.
Keeping my virginity hidden had become my mission the second I set foot on this campus.
Damn it. Would Pauline broadcast this to everyone? I mean, she had no reason to, but still... "Please, you can't tell anyone," I whispered desperately.
"That's incredible."
I froze, staring at her with confusion. "What?"
Her smile was warm and real as she raised her hand. "May I?" she asked, pointing toward the mark.
My lips pressed together before I nodded slowly. "It looks like a storm," she whispered.
"Yeah," I agreed quietly. "It really stands out on my skin, doesn't it?"
