Becca groaned in dismay. Although she desperately wants to find Deborah alive, she also knows that the current times are dangerous for women so it will be for everyone's peace of mind if she follows her family's order not to pursue the matter for her safety. She doesn't want to add to the problem by being the next victim. "OK, fine. I will no longer do some digging on my own. I will leave the searching to the men." She finally relented with a sigh.
"Good girl," Luna Adela said, pleased with her daughter's answer.
Becca took a deep breath. "Grams, Mom, what do you think is happening to Deborah right now? Do you think she's still alive or dead already?"
Grandma sighed. "I'm still hoping she is still alive…"
"Me too," Luna Adela released a troubled sigh. "Let's hope for the best and prepare for the worst. If she is fine and that guy did not harm her she should be home already, right?" she added gloomily, losing hope already.
