Alpha Maxwell was sitting on the sofa in the living room when the two women entered the house.
The women settled on the sofa, facing him.
"Son, what happened to your wife? Did you have a fight again?" Luna Adela asked.
Alpha Maxwell shakes his head. "No. She just told me that she was going to meet her friends at a party tonight. So to avoid angering her, I gave her permission to go to the party. She told me that she wouldn't be coming home tonight—she will sleep at her friend's house," he explained.
"Ah, I see…I thought you and your wife had a quarrel again. That is why she was acting weird today, telling us that she was divorcing you. Is this true, my boy?" Grandma asked.
"Yeah. She told me about the divorce but I don't believe her. I'm sure tomorrow she'll say she was just joking around," he said calmly.
"You don't believe her? But she looked serious when she told us about the divorce," Luna Adela insisted.
