Chapter 5 - Insert 5

Magistrate: "Granted, case posted to the

21st of September."

Mr Ndlovu: "I would like to make another

submission, your worship." She looked at

him and nodded with her head. "Your

worship, I am stepping down from this

case today. Is my last time representing

my client, Dr Walaza. One of my

attorneys will take over the case."

Magistrate: "Granted, court adjourned."

We all got up looking so puzzled by that

last submission. Dr Walaza was so

much in shock.

As I was walking toward the gate I felt

someone tapping me on my shoulder. I

looked back and it was some security guy

Security guy: "Sisi advocate, wants to see you."

Lino mtha: "Advocate?"

gave him that puzzled look.

Security guy: He looked back and

pointed at Mr Ndlovu.

Lino mtha: "Thank you bro ."

I started walking towards the direction of Mr

Ndlovu, busy asking myself a whole lot

of questions. Why does he want to see

me? Maybe he wants to say thank me

and offer me some lunch money.

Lino mtha: "Mr Ndlovu, I hear you asked

to see me."

Mr Ndlovu: "Yes sisi, what's your name." I told him my name.

"Beautiful name, I am free now, is it possible

for you to join me for lunch?" I agreed. I was

so excited.

We spent most of the time getting to

know each other during the drive. Well, I

was the one who was telling him more

about myself—where I grew up, my

family, studies, and my love and passion

for law.

Before I knew it, we had arrived at this

fancy restaurant. It was inside a hotel.

I have never been to a fancy restaurant

before. I've only been to KFC and once in a

blue moon. KFC was luxury to a girl like me and I just said I'll have the same thing

he's having.

Mr Ndlovu: I could tell he could see that I

don't know anything that's on that menu.

"Ladies ribs 400g for the lady and a

passionfruit with lemonade." He gave me

some funny look. "Am sorry I changed your

order, but am sure you don't drink whiskey

and you don't like spicy seafood."

Lino mtha: I laughed so hard. "I don't

drink, am allergic to spicy food, and I've

never eaten seafood except fish. The rest

I don't think I can stomach them."

He joined me in my laughter.

Mr Ndlovu: "So, you are going to

afford eating out at places like this, you're a very smarty young lady.

Lino mtha: we spoke more about the

case and he was just smiling all the way.

We ate our food and finished.

Mr Ndlovu: "Lino mtha, am sure you

heard me telling the magistrate that I

am stepping down from the case and

one of my attorney's will take over."

Lino mtha: "Yes, I did, and it kind of

shocked me."

Mr Ndlovu: "Don't be shocked, you

actually inspired that decision. Lino mtha,

I was talking about you when I said one

of my attorney's will be taking over the

case. I want you to handle it."

Shock was beyond the look I had on my

face. Yes, my intention was to get close

to him.
