## Prologue
In the vibrant city of Busan, where the sea met the sky and the rhythm of life was always in motion, Min-Soo called home. He stood tall at 6'2" with a lean build, honed from years of karate training and regular gym sessions. His black hoodie was his signature attire, often paired with headphones and a quiet demeanor. He was a self-taught pianist with a passion for music, and a movie buff who could spend hours watching films alone or with his childhood friends.
Born to two loving parents, both professors at a prestigious university in Seoul, Min-Soo was the center of their universe. His mother, Ji-Hyun, a stunning woman whose beauty still turned heads, had a youthful glow that made people wonder how she'd managed to raise a grown son. Some even joked that she must be unmarried, given her ageless appearance. His father, Tae-Oh, equally handsome, maintained a fit physique thanks to his wife's strict emphasis on family health and wellness.
Min-Soo's mother was cooking dinner in the kitchen, the aroma of freshly cooked food wafting through the house. She called out to her husband, "Honey, come and eat! I've made your favorite dish." She then asked lovingly, "How's our son doing?" Her husband replied, "He's playing games on his new PS5, the one we bought him. You go call him."
Min-Soo's mother smiled and headed towards Min-Soo's room. As she was about to reach his room, her husband picked up a letter that had been delivered. He read it, and his face lit up with joy. Excited, he quickly walked towards his wife, who was about to enter Min-Soo's room. "Wait, honey," he said, catching up to her. "Let's talk about this first." He showed her the letter, and her eyes widened with excitement as she read it. "Oh my god, Yonsei University! He's in!" she exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper.
They hugged each other, both of them beaming with pride. "We need to plan a surprise party for him," the mother said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The father nodded in agreement. "Let's get everything ready and call him down for dinner. We'll tell him then."
Ji-Hyun called out to Min-Soo, "Min-Soo, dinner's ready! Come down and eat, dear." Min-Soo paused his game and smiled, "Just a minute, Mom. I'm on a critical mission." His mother chuckled and said, "Save your game, and let's eat. Your father and I are starving!" Min-Soo saved his game and headed downstairs, unaware of the surprise that awaited him.
As Min-Soo walked into the dining room, he was greeted by the warm smiles of his parents, Ji-Hyun and Tae-Oh. The table was set with his favorite dishes, and a banner that read "Congratulations Min-Soo!" hung behind them. Ji-Hyun, his mother, opened her arms and said, "Come here, oppa!" - a cute nickname she always used for Min-Soo at home. Min-Soo chuckled and walked over to hug her. "Mom, I'm grown up now. You don't have to call me oppa," he said with a smile. Ji-Hyun smiled back and said, "You'll always be my yongsaeng, my little prince." Min-Soo's face lit up with a mix of amusement and affection.
Min-Soo's eyes widened as he read the letter. "Yonsei University?!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with joy. Ji-Hyun's eyes welled up with tears, and she couldn't hold them back anymore. Min-Soo noticed and asked, "Mom, why are you crying?" Ji-Hyun's voice trembled as she said, "I'm just thinking about how fast time has flown by. It feels like just yesterday you were a little boy, learning to walk and talk. And now, you're growing up to be a brilliant young man. I'm so proud to be your mother." Tae-Oh chimed in, "What about me? Don't I get any credit for raising this genius, hwarang?" - a affectionate nickname Tae-Oh often used for Min-Soo. Min-Soo smiled and hugged his father. "Of course, Dad. You taught me everything I know. I'm grateful for both of you." The three of them hugged, basking in the warmth of their love and excitement for Min-Soo's future.
The next day, Min-Soo and his parents embarked on a trip to Seoul. As they packed their bags for the trip to Seoul, Min-Soo's parents, Ji-Hyun and Tae-Oh, looked at each other with excitement. But before they left, Tae-Oh said with a hint of apology
"Sorry, hwarang, we planned for 5 days, but they only offered 3 days." Min-Soo smiled and said, "It's enough for me to see you both struggle to keep up with my energetic pace." His parents exchanged a knowing glance, and their faces turned slightly red.
In the next two days, they visited movies and parks, enjoying quality time together. On the second day, they went to a trendy café that was hosting a prom-themed event. Ji-Hyun suddenly stopped and looked at Min-Soo with a mischievous grin. "Yongsaeng, I want you to go to the prom with me," she said, holding up a ridiculous-looking prom dress. The people around them couldn't help but stare at Min-Soo, and he felt his face burning with embarrassment. "Mom!" he exclaimed, his voice rising in mortification. The people around them burst out laughing at the exchange. "Okay, okay, Mom," Min-Soo said, throwing his hands up in surrender. Ji-Hyun chuckled and playfully teased him, "You're going to be the most handsome date at the prom!" Min-Soo reluctantly agreed to play along, and they took silly photos together in their prom outfits. Ji-Hyun couldn't stop laughing at her son's embarrassed expression.
On their third day in Seoul, Ji-Hyun and Tae-Oh took Min-Soo to a costume role-play festival, knowing he hated it. As they arrived, Ji-Hyun insisted that Min-Soo wear an embarrassing costume. Min-Soo reluctantly agreed, but his mother added a funny hat with oversized ears and a bright red nose to his costume. Min-Soo looked at himself in the mirror and exclaimed, "We're being read from head to ears, Mom! I know your schemes, but this is too much, mean!" Ji-Hyun chuckled and said, "Oh, come on, yongsaeng! It's just for fun! You're not going to let a little embarrassment ruin our trip, are you?" Min-Soo rolled his eyes good-naturedly and said, "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Despite his initial reluctance, Min-Soo couldn't help but laugh and have fun with his parents at the festival.
As the day came to a close, they decided it would be the perfect ending to their trip to Seoul. As they walked around the festival, Min-Soo's embarrassment slowly turned into laughter. He couldn't help but enjoy the silly costumes and the playful atmosphere. Ji-Hyun and Tae-Oh were thrilled to see their son having so much fun. At one point, Min-Soo's costume got tangled, and he frantically tried to untangle it. Ji-Hyun burst out laughing and said, "Oh, yongsaeng, you're so clumsy!" Min-Soo playfully rolled his eyes and said, "Mom, stop teasing me!" Despite the occasional embarrassment, Min-Soo had a great time with his parents. They took plenty of photos, laughed together, and created memories that would last a lifetime. As the festival came to a close, Ji-Hyun turned to Min-Soo and said, "You know, yongsaeng, I'm really glad we did this. You're such a good sport." Min-Soo smiled and replied, "Yeah, Mom, it was actually kind of fun. But don't think this means I'm going to start wearing embarrassing costumes all the time!" Ji-Hyun chuckled and ruffled her son's hair, saying, "I wouldn't dream of it, yongsaeng. Let's just enjoy the rest of our trip." And with that, they continued their adventure in Seoul, making more memories and having a great time together.
After they returned home, Ji-Hyun and Tae-Oh sat down with Min-Soo to have a serious talk. "Min-Soo, we know you're going to face many challenges in university life," Ji-Hyun said, her voice filled with concern. "But we want you to know that we're always here for you, no matter what. If anyone bullies you or gives you trouble, you tell us immediately. We'll take care of it." Min-Soo nodded, knowing his parents' love and support meant the world to him. "Don't worry, Mom and Dad. I can handle myself. But I appreciate your concern." Ji-Hyun smiled and hugged her son tightly. "We're proud of you, Min-Soo. Just remember, family is everything."
Min-Soo smiled, feeling relieved that the conversation was over. He knew his parents just wanted the best for him, and he appreciated their concern.
"Thanks, Mom and Dad," he said, getting up from the table. "I'll keep that in mind."
Ji-Hyun and Tae-Oh nodded, watching their son walk away. They knew he was growing up and becoming more independent, but they couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic for the days when he was younger.
As Min-Soo went to his room, he couldn't help but feel excited for the new chapter ahead. He was ready to take on the challenges of university life and make the most of this opportunity.
With a sense of anticipation, Min-Soo settled into his bed, feeling grateful for his parents' love and support. He knew he could always count on them, no matter what.
As he drifted off to sleep, Min-Soo smiled, feeling content and at peace. He knew that tomorrow would bring new adventures and opportunities, and he was ready to face them head-on.
