Chapter 1 - Nobbits Plan

In a Forest

A group of goblins sat near a cave. There were six goblins in total. Their green skin was rough and bumpy. Fingers clawed, twitching constantly. Eyes darted around. Moss covered the ground, damp and squishy underfoot. Fallen leaves stuck to their legs. Twigs snapped beneath their weight. The air smelled of wet earth and rotting vegetation. Small animals scuttled in the underbrush. Birds chirped nervously, occasionally fluttering away at every rustle.

One goblin opened his mouth and began to speak. "Tsk! E.. goig wher" he said in a low, nervous voice, ears twitching, fingers fiddling with a stick. His body leaned slightly forward, uncertain, alert to every sound. He looked at the other goblins expecting a answer.

The other goblins snapped their heads toward him, leaning forward, claws gripping the dirt. "Eviqaq. We Hnt. Food good" they said sharply, voices short and commanding, teeth slightly bared. Their eyes glittered with impatience and confidence, ready for action.

The first goblin nodded in agreement.

The first goblin pointed at Nobbit, hunched in a dank brown coat, eyes scanning the forest carefully. "Nobbit. Plan give. Need schem" he said, shaky, slightly anxious, tail twitching. His gaze flicked nervously to the trees as he waited. The other goblins demaded an answer from Nobbit.

Nobbit straightened slightly and adjusted his coat. "We sneak. We trap wolves. then attack and profit we get" he said in an overconfident husky tone, chest puffed, eyes sharp, tapping his club with a claw. His posture screamed pride and smugness. His smile a mix of pride and belief.

Krek, the tall goblin, flexed his arms above his head and stomped his foot. "Huuru. I defeat wolves. We eat Big Feast" He shouted loudly, voice brash and excited, muscles bulging, grin wide, arms raised in boasting.

Gribbit wrung his hands frantically, eyes wide, ears flicking at every movement.

"But we injured! We want feast. No injured good. Injured Bad" He squeaked in a high-pitched, panicked tone, trembling, body tense, knees shaking.

Figgit raised his crooked stick and grinned slightly. "But we Goblins. Goblins Not lose. We win Wolves easy" His tone was loud, clear, assertive, eyes shining with confidence, standing straight, chest forward.

He believed that Goblins were the supreme race.

Snaggle jabbed his claw toward Hurk, swaying slightly, tongue sticking out a little.

"We Win. Easy Win, Wolves Weak. Goblins Strong. Goblins not los" He spoke rapidly, manic energy in every word, overexcited, glancing at the others to make sure they followed.

Hurk straightened, fists clenched, shoulders rolling. "Lets Go and defeat Wolves" He said firmly, deep tone, tense but resolute, eyes narrowed with determination. His Face easily spoke of deliciousness and hunter.

They grabbed their weapons—clubs wrapped in vines, jagged rocks, shards of bone—and shuffled forward. Leaves brushed against arms. Mud squished underfoot. Twigs snapped.

They moved forward. The squirrels on the trees looked at them. The Spider at the tree moved along them. The wind, Strong, Made the spider drop from the tree.

"Find Wolves Caves. We Wolves Find Feast" Nobbit said to Snaggle and Krek, low husky tone, eyes sharp and calculating, scanning the forest carefully. He saw a spider on the ground. Some Squirrels looking at him and a pair of crows moving above him.

Snaggle and Krek separated, pushing through thick underbrush, branches scratching skin, leaves sticking to them, claws digging into mud.

---

They moved along the green forest. They saw a blue cat in the distance. "Blue Small Tiger? We hunt it?" Krek asked Snaggle in a confused tone. The blue cat looked at them and then ran away.

"You forget? We find Wolf cave" Snaggle answered to Kreks question. He had no time for hunting a "small blue tiger".

They moved along a bit till they saw a cave. There was a Purple Leaved Tree on top of the cave. Smell of blood was coming from it.

"We Found Wolf Cave. We Go To Nobbit" Snaggle said to Krek as he looked at the cave. The cave had green vines and moss on it. Their was a pair of bones at the entrance.

Seeing this, Both the Goblins decided to get back to The others.

---

Some time later

Krek and Snaggle returned, faces bright with excitement, chests heaving. "Goblin Den found. Come us with" Krek shouted, voice brash and eager, fist raised, eyes wide, muscles tense. His stomach rumbled a bit from hunger and him thinking of the Wolves taste.

Krek and Snaggle Both Told the group to follow them as they moved towards the cave in pride and confidence.

The group followed, squishing through mud, leaves brushing against their skin, insects buzzing. Finally, they reached the wolves' den.

Atop the den stood a massive tree with purple leaves, shimmering faintly. Its thick gnarled trunk twisted like claws. Roots curled above the earth. Leaves swayed, catching sunlight in faint flashes. The forest seemed to hold its breath.

"Yuuu. We Make Trap now. Krek, Snaggle, Go to Purple tree" Nobbit ordered, low husky tone, eyes sharp and cold. He pointed to the cave.

Krek and Snaggle scrambled up the bark. Moss was slippery. Roots snagged claws. Both fell with a thud, dirt and leaves scattering.

---

In the Den

A group of wolves lay resting, bellies full. Fur sleek, dark, muscles coiled. Eyes flicked open, ears pricked. The alpha wolf stepped forward—larger than the rest, grey-black fur bristling. Amber eyes glowed, muzzle long, fangs glinting. Muscles tensed. Tail swayed slowly. Around it, lesser wolves circled, low growls rumbling in their throats.

---

outside

Gribbit squealed, "Uiii. Bad Fall" He said in a sneeky. As his gaze shifted, he saw some wolfs coming from the Den.

"Wolves Here. Fight Hunt" Gribbit Loudly spoke startling the goblins. The goblins looked around and saw a group of wolfs coming from the caves.

The Wolves, Thinking of Easy food, Looked as if to attack them and then eat their body.

The wolves surged, teeth bared, claws digging deep into dirt. Their eyes a fit of preying upon the goblins.

"Ahhhh.... Fight Wolves" Krek and Snaggle shouted, charging, clubs swinging wildly. They moved towards the wolves. The wolves decided to move towarda them and the others.

Krek slammed his club into a wolf's head. Baam. Skull cracked. Blood sprayed. Another lunged, claws raking across Krek's arm. He roared, spinning to strike again.

Gribbit bit a wolf's shoulder. Another swiped his side, tearing flesh. He screamed, rolling in mud and blood.

Figgit tried to organize. "We... corner... yes, corner wolves" Tripped over a root, scrambling in mud, muttering "No... fail... must... win" Eyes darting, terror and determination mixed.

Fizzle aimed a crude vine sling. Misfired, hitting a branch. Sparks flew. Wolf jumped back. Fizzle flopped, muttering, "Brrrk! No... no... Ooops"

Snaggle, neck bleeding, gritted teeth. "We... we fight! Not lose!" Club smashed wolf skull before collapsing.

Hurk muttered, "Why listen... Nobbit..." Tried stabbing, slipped, rolled, narrowly dodging jaws

The wolves roared together. "GRRR!! HRRR!! RRRK! ARF! GRAAAH!"

Branches snapped. Birds screamed. Squirrels scattered. Blood, mud, leaves, claws, teeth flew. Every goblin screamed, spat blood, swung wildly.

The alpha wolf lunged at Krek, muscles coiled, fangs glinting. Its eyes flicked to Nobbit. Its ears pinned, hackles raised.

---

While the alpha wolf was focused on fallen goblins, claws swiping, Nobbit rolled low, using roots and mud as cover. He darted silently, hugging shadows of fallen branches. The Wolves attention on chaos allowed him to slip behind the alpha. Roots and leaves shielded his movement. The alpha snarled and twisted but could not see him clearly. Nobbit crouched, breathing ragged, club raised.

Crack

He slammed the club into the alpha wolf's neck. Amber eyes wide. Fur bristled. Screeching pain.

AWOOOOO

Other wolves lunged, claws swiping. Nobbit ducked, pivoted, using roots to dodge, purple leaves shaking above violently.

---

From the purple-leafed tree, a small purple spiritual creature appeared. Body shimmering faintly, translucent wings swirling, eyes glowing violet, mist trailing. The air hummed. Tree quivered. Sparks drifted from it.

"So it was you wolves that had interrupted my sleep?" The creature spoke solemnly, voice calm but authoritative. Wolves froze mid-attack, hackles still raised, eyes wary.

"Who do we have here? A goblin?" The creature turned to Nobbit, gaze sharp yet soft, judging every twitch, every breath.

Nobbit froze, chest heaving, club in hand, eyes flicking between wolves and spirit. Blood covered mud and leaves. Silence fell. Only soft growls and rustling purple leaves filled the air.
