Chapter 4 - Yawhi

Shaikou furrowed his brows as he looked intently at the person sitting in front of him, darting his now dark eyes at every corner of his apartment.

Shaikou can't remember when he brought this person home, but... He knew for sure that he couldn't leave such a force outside, lest it be used against him. After all, he became wary just after knowing that this person's 'creator' identity is not a joke to be reckoned with.

"You said your name is Yawhi.Shaikou's words were cut off when an extremely familiar voice rang loudly inside his home.

"Yo bro! I heard you are going against everyone in the hero organizations; is that true?" the new visitor asked, his face lit up as he went straight to sit beside Shaikou and nudge him in the shoulder.

"I told you being a villain is more fun!" Ivan

Shaikou eyelids twitches widly, looking at the uninvited vistor with a death glare.

"What are you doing here, you bastard?!" Just after scolding this uninvited guest, Shaikou's heart skipped a beat as he realized something. Turning his head to look over at the person just minding his own business sitting there, Shaikou widened his eyes, noticing that the person obediently sitting there suddenly disappeared.

He snapped his head to the side, hearing Ivan's painful groan.

Shaikou furrowed his brows, looking over at Ivan, who was on midair, while the person who seemed to be curious and then indifferent to all of things stared at Ivan with eyes changing into a light orange.

It changed again. No doubt, something will happen...

When Shaikou stepped forward closer to where that person stood, his footsteps halted after hearing that person's words, words that were said in a mild tone but contained scary content for everyone who feared death.

"I sensed your unreasonable killings throughout your whole life after your parents abandoned you on a deserted island. Your life is listed in my prophecy and shall be punished." Shaikou brows furrowed more and more as he continued to listen to that person's words while looking at Ivan, who was hand midair and holding his neck tightly as if there was a force strangling him.

"Would you like to accept your punishment as it is and have a merciful death, or would you choose to remain and help me eliminate those evil forces but have a bloody and merciless death?"

Ivan held his neck tighly, glaring at the person that stood below and staring at him with those calm but indifferent eyes, without showing any ripple of him being hanged mid-air and feeling like there was an invisible hand strangling him. It is not hard for him to already know who was the one that made him feel that he was on the verge of death.

But he was still human to the core after all, despite having his superpower; therefore, when the invisible hand around his neck tightened more and more, he panicked and shouted, "The second one! I choose the second one!"

The person appeared to be confused and surprised as he once again confirmed, "Are you sure?"

Ivan was so angry inside his heart, but he still restrained himself from cursing out loud as his eyes reddened, tears threatening to fall as he wildly nodded his head. "Yes! Yes! I am sure!"

Ivan fell down on the floor with a thud after his hasty confirmation of the confusion.

Just after Ivan fell down, he automatically stood up and went to hide behind Shaikou, glaring at the person standing there with an innocent face but still giving off an indifferent vibe while hatefully asking his childhood friend in front, "When did you have such a friend like this?!"

Shaikou brows raised, hearing Ivan's words.

Friend?

Shaikou's eyes lowered before looking over at the person standing there with his eyes going back to their original color.

Instead of friends, they might as well be considered foes. After all, his life seemed to be also in this person's hands.

"Who really are you?" Shaikou finally asked, curiosity overwhelming him.

Ivan, who was at his back, widened his eyes incredibly after hearing Shaikou's words, "You let him inside even though you don't know his name?!"

"Don't you know that people like that are more dangerous than you?" Ivan scooted over and whispered those words, afraid of being heard by the same dangerous person who just strangled him just after saying a single sentence to his friend.

But it still seemed the person in front of them could still hear them from quite a distance as his head tilted, his eyes holding some confusion about what Ivan said about him.

But even though it was like that, he still answered Shaikou's question with pursed lips: "I am Yawhi, this world creator, the god of all living organisms, and I am currently identified as a he."

Ivan seemed to be having difficulties processing what Yawhi had said, but Shaikou, who was already informed beforehand that the person in front of him was a god, did not have some difficulties processing and accepting Yawhi's words; instead, there are still doubts sprouting inside his heart.

"Are you really a god though?" Shaikou asked again, pausing before adding to say, "How can you prove that you really are a god—our god?"

Yawhi stared at Shaikou silently, his dark eyes unmoving as his red lips opened, spitting out words that made Shaikou pale and Ivan wondering.

"Why would I prove my identity to you, sinners?" Yawhi asked back. His eyes narrowed so slightly without any emotion that Ivan suddenly hugged himself with both arms after feeling that there was a shiver running down his spine.

"And also... you might as well go back to where you came from, Shai'er," Shaikou flicnhed, hearing the familiar that he tried hard to forget as it was used by a person that he hated the most in his entire life.

But, even though he hated those people to the core, he still can't bring himself to make them die, even if he was gifted with the most powerful yet dangerous superpowers after he unknowingly ate the fruit his dad experimented on.

His eyes shrink, remembering the past, but he still stubbornly went on to say, "I can't."

Yawhi pursed lips become even more pursed. "And why is that?"

Ivan looked at his friend, then at Yawhi, then at his friend again, covering his mouth as if finally discovering that the secret his friend tried so hard to keep a secret was exposed just like that in front of him.

Shaikou wanted to smack Ivan's head after hearing him gasp again and again when hearing his exchanged conversation with Yawhi, who, despite being small, stood there upright, his eyes seeming to hold that everyone is beneath him.

Well, this logic is so true, though.

After all, Yawhi was originally a god. A god that still seemed to make someone doubt.

Except for him.

If he will not believe that Yawhi is not a god, then he is really dumb. A person in this world can't possess more than 1 superpower that he can confirm after further investigation relating to normal awakening, regular awakening, or experienced awakening.

But Yawhi seemed to be not the same as them, as Shaikou realized that he seemed to have unlimited powers, and whatever he would like to use, his eye color would just change and he would have the power he desired.

Who else can be like this except for a being who bestows powers on the chosen ones?

Of course, it needs to have an identity as a god.

A highly intelligent being whom almost the majority of people devouted their lives to worshipping.

A god.

But...

Shaikou can't dilly dally on thinking for too long as he, unknowingly, felt some pressure pressing over him.

Looking up, he once again noticed that Yawhi's eye color changed as his dark eyes became one more shade darker.

He took a deep breath and glared at Ivan, who gasped again in this tense atmosphere, before answering Yawhi's question, "Tsuyoi won't want to come back."
