Chapter 1 - Passive Analysis Skill

"Flap!....Flap!"

Sounds of bats flapping their wings could be heard in a quiet chamber bathed in serene moonlight from small openings in the ceiling.

The whole chamber was empty, other than the fact that a coffin made of purely transparent gem was placed exactly in the middle.

A woman was lying inside this coffin wearing black robes with red laces, flawless pale white skin, shiny long silver hair scattered around, her face so beautiful that anyone would lose their mind, totally breathless.

She looked like an illusion, an art crafted by divinity itself.

If anyone looked at her right now, they would think only one thing, she is dead. But that is just a metaphor in itself, there is no way for this woman to die unless she herself chooses to do so..

Suddenly her eyes fluttered and opened slowly, crimson red eyes which were shining sanguine hue, which faded away eventually, graced the world.

She frowned for a second before the coffin's hinges opened and the door flung open, breaking away from the coffin and falling on the cold black marble floor with red lines that looked like blood veins.

She climbed out of the coffin slowly and took steps down the elevated platform on which her coffin was placed, she wobbled as her strength was still in a sealed state.

She focused her attention on the seal and began undoing it while walking down, every step she took unlocked her ranks.

When she reached the bottom, all her seals were undone, the strongest creature, the Primordial Vampire goddess—Nytheris, who had slept for ten thousand years, had awakened from her deep slumber, which she had herself chosen due to death of almost all of the vampires under her rule.

A war that destroyed all of the Vampire Kingdom, leaving only a small area that could not be invaded due to a formation fortified by predecessor primordial vampires' blood.

Anyone who entered this formation would die due to their blood being drained just by existing in the range.

She came near the window of her chamber and gazed toward the distant mountains that surrounded this castle from every direction in a circle.

These mountains were also the end of the protection formation, this meant the land encased by the mountains was the only place left for the whole Vampire Kingdom.

She looked for a while before making her way out of the chamber, she came into a dark hallway and made her way toward another chamber, there was one more person who was alive in this whole kingdom.

Her strongest bloodborn, who was also her maid. She had went into slumber together with her, it was time to wake her up.

After walking for a while, she reached the chamber and entered it, a blood-red coffin was lying inside, she infused her voice with mana, "Wake up, Avelisse."

Five seconds later, the lid of the coffin opened, and a fair hand came out before a woman sat up, "How long has it been, Master?"

"I don't know, but it would be around ten thousand years, let's go, I have some things to discuss with you," Nytheris spoke and started to go toward the throne room.

....

On Earth.

A young boy of eighteen years was sitting in his class observing people, he wasn't doing it out of boredom but due to an uncanny ability he had had from birth, he called it analysis.

He had read his fair share of fantasy novels, not to mention he was a professional gamer. So, being able to discern someone's basic information was like an analysis skill for him.

It's not like a skill though, it's more like a revelation when he stares at someone for longer than ten seconds, the longer he stares, the more information comes to his mind.

What is their name, what is their age, what is their address... so on until it even reveals deep secrets like whom they have relationships with, what is their personality in bed... literally everything.

He had never tested the personality part to see if it was true or not, as he wasn't much of a social guy and didn't have such friendly relationships where people would openly tell their preferences to verify.

It's not that he lacked looks, he was utterly handsome... He just didn't like talking.

Because knowing their personalities, traits, likes, and dislikes, he knew most, if not all, were just liars.

"Yo, Asher, staring at someone again?" A large, burly student came in front of Asher and blocked his view. The reason why Asher even knew him was because they came from the same elementary school.

"Mind your own business," Asher closed his book and decided to leave for the day. He didn't care about his grades or being suspended.

He was a professional gamer, and he made bank with just his streams, much less official tournaments. Although, none of his professors complained about it as he aced all their tests.

The reason was simple, his analysis didn't only work on humans, it also worked on inanimate objects or questions... quite the cheat indeed.

He never understood how he got this skill, but it was definitely with him from birth. While growing up, he thought everyone had the same view as him, but it wasn't true at all... he was the only anomaly in this world.

...

Nytheris sat on a massive throne made of some dark gemstone and red cushion. She looked at all the empty seats in this huge chamber.

Ten thousand years ago, it used to be filled with vampires, and now none were left other than her and Avelisse.

"Are you still fretting over it, Master?" Avelisse asked with a sad face, she missed everyone too, but more than that, she couldn't bear to see her master sad.

Nytheris sighed, "I don't know what else I can do, Avelisse..."

"Don't blame yourself, Master, there was nothing you could do. Even if you are the strongest in the whole world, you cannot possibly win against primordials of every race combined, it isn't possible..." Avelisse didn't want her master to blame herself when it wasn't her fault at all.

Nytheris shook her head, "I am the empress of this kingdom, its rise or fall, everything falls on me, Avelisse... don't worry, I am not weak-hearted," she looked toward the empty seats one last time and stopped thinking about it for the time being.
