Chapter 1 - Her eyes awakened

Black and red smoke swirled endlessly, filling the void. The clouds of darkness pressed in on Daigo, pulling him deeper, almost suffocating him. A distorted whisper echoed in the haze, calling his name over and over.

Suddenly—

"Ugh… another day in the fake world."

Daigo's eyes snapped open. The smoke vanished, replaced by the dull ceiling of his small room. He sat up with a sigh, running a hand through his messy hair. The dream again—the one that never left him.

After getting ready for class, Daigo stepped outside into the morning light. Waiting near the school gates was his old friend Renji, waving with a grin. But Renji wasn't alone—beside him stood a girl with soft brown eyes and a warm smile.

"Daigo, this is my girlfriend, Satsuki," Renji introduced proudly.

Satsuki bowed politely, her voice gentle. "Nice to meet you."

Then she added, "Ah—my sister should be here any second."

And that was when time seemed to stop.

Daigo's gaze froze as he saw her walking up. Long hair catching the light, a calm yet distant aura surrounding her—she was unlike anyone he had ever seen. Satsuki's twin sister: Sawara.

His chest tightened instantly. Beautiful… too beautiful to be real.

But Daigo didn't show it. He folded his hands into his pockets and wore his usual indifferent expression. He wasn't the type to fall in love at first sight. At least… that's what he always thought.

Sawara, however, barely spared him a glance. Her eyes flickered his way once—cold, unreadable—before she looked past him, as if he didn't exist.

That night, back at her home, Sawara sat quietly at her desk, unaware of what stirred within her. As she blinked, her reflection in the window changed—her irises shimmered, glowing faintly like roses blooming in fire. For five seconds, the lights in her room flickered, dimming as if the world itself held its breath.

Then everything returned to normal. She exhaled, never realizing what had just awakened.

Far away, inside a colossal underground laboratory, a screen blared with sharp alarms. A man in a white coat stared in shock as the readings spiked violently. His eyes widened at the impossible energy signature flashing across his monitor.

"Impossible… human resonance detected?" he whispered.

For the first time, he had witnessed a power manifesting within humanity. And with a trembling voice, he uttered words that would change the course of destiny:

"So… one of the Chosen has awakened."

Next day,

Daigo walked into class as usual, eyes scanning the room. Something caught his attention immediately—figures dressed entirely in black, standing strangely, almost like they weren't meant to be there. Their gaze was locked on Sawara.

Daigo's instincts screamed danger. Without hesitation, he moved silently toward them, closing the distance unnoticed. But just as he prepared to intercept…

THUD!

A sharp strike to the back of his head sent him collapsing into darkness.

---

When he opened his eyes, pain lanced through his skull. He was tied to a chair in a dim, cold room. Two identical men stood before him, pistols in hand, faces emotionless, voices eerily calm.

Daigo (gritting his teeth):

"Let me go. Who… who are you people?"

The men's voices were chilling, hardened by years of cruelty:

"Who… is she… to you?"

A scream ripped through the walls—the unmistakable voice of Sawara. Daigo's heart thumped, panic threatening to break his calm facade.Daigo knew right away it was Sawara although,he has't heard her voice before.

Daigo:

"Why did you bring her here!? Who are you!? She hasn't done anything wrong!"

Men (slow, taunting):

"Who… are… you… to her?"

Daigo's mind raced, but his hands worked with precision. Slowly, subtly, he twisted and freed himself from the ropes. Once free, he rose like a predator.

In a single motion, he grabbed the metal chair beside him. Swinging it with all his strength, it collided with the first man's face in a thunderous crash. The second man barely dodged, but Daigo was already moving.

He fought like a storm—every punch, kick, and throw calculated.

He twisted the first man's arm, forcing him to drop his gun.

He swept the second man's legs out from under him.

Using the chair as both shield and weapon, he knocked them both unconscious.

Then, with calm efficiency, he took their pistols and the key card clipped to their belts.

---

Daigo moved swiftly, silently scanning the complex. A large laboratory appeared ahead, filled with scientists working behind a massive glass balcony. Everything looked like a fusion of high-tech machinery and ancient mysticism—glowing runes etched across consoles, pulsing energy lines running like veins.

Nearby, a secured door caught his attention. He swiped the key card. The lock clicked.

Inside, the room was filled with strange devices: tubes, crystal-like objects, and an ancient map displayed under a thick sheet of glass. Without hesitation, Daigo smashed the glass with a single shot, retrieving the map.And he stole a backpack that caught his attention just because of two guns attached beside it.

Suddenly, alarms blared. Red lights bathed the room. Through the large glass balcony, Daigo froze: Sawara was being dragged, kicking and screaming, toward a shimmering portal.

Adrenaline surged. He fired into the air, shattering monitors and glass, sending scientists scattering in terror. He tried a nearby window-type panel—it wouldn't open. Without thinking, he fired, breaking the reinforced glass.

He climbed down a narrow ladder outside the glass indoor balcony, but his movement didn't go unnoticed. Soldiers approached. Shots rang out—two bullets tore through his leg. Pain shot up his body, but he gritted his teeth and returned fire, keeping them at bay.

---

The portal shimmered in front of him. Sawara was dragged inside, tears streaming down her face.

Daigo's chest tightened. He ignored the burning pain in his leg and lunged forward, shooting again to hold the others back. Every step was calculated. Timing, angles, fire—they were all part of his plan.

With a final surge, he jumped into the portal, carrying nothing but ,the backpack, the map, and his determination. The world twisted around him, and then… he landed.

The Jungle World

Daigo's knees hit the mossy ground hard. Pain lanced through his leg, but he ignored it. Sawara's small, trembling form rushed to him. She collapsed into his arms, clutching him tightly.

Sawara:

"Don't leave me here… please…"

Daigo exhaled, keeping his face calm despite the storm of emotions,he hugged her tightly .

Daigo (painfully):

"We survive. Until I find a way out,..... We will go home ."

And he fainted right away.

By the time they were both gone inside ,in the laboratory, the portal started glowing and exploded leaving daigo and sawara in the dimension .
