Chapter 194: Small Space Takes Shape
"Slow down! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!" With a series of panicked screams, Ryan suddenly felt a surge of exhilaration!
Lillie, her face pale, clung tightly to Ryan. Reshiram had once again proven to the world just how fast it was with its infinite acceleration from flames! Ruby and Sapphire were practically in tears. How could they have been so foolish as to come along for this ride!
It was fortunate that Reshiram had protected everyone with its energy; otherwise, Ryan wouldn't have let them come along. A dozen minutes later, the group arrived above the Ruins of Alph.
Reshiram landed on the ground of the Ruins of Alph, and Ryan, in a princess carry, jumped off Reshiram's back with Lillie in his arms. Ruby and Sapphire took a long time to recover before sliding off Reshiram's body to the ground, their legs feeling weak.
Jirachi curiously examined the structure, wondering why Ryan had brought it here. Reshiram returned to Ryan's hands as the Light Stone, and Ryan led the group into the Ruins of Alph.
The ruins looked newer than before, probably because the archaeologists had cleaned them. Ruby, looking at the familiar scene, said, "Ryan, you mean to go to the space of the Unown?"
"Yes. The dead space we went to last time was actually the space where Jirachi was. Although it was a dead Jirachi, since a Jirachi could create a space using the Unown, there's no reason why this Jirachi couldn't," Ryan said.
"What space?" Sapphire asked curiously.
"Oh, it's the Ruins of Alph that Ryan, Rosa, and I visited when we were traveling in Johto. We also discovered a dead space deep within the ruins," Ruby said.
But before he could finish speaking, Sapphire pouted and said, "Who's Rosa? That sounds like a girl's name."
Lillie also looked at Ryan curiously. Ryan shrugged and said, "Rosa is from the Unova region. She traveled with us in the Johto region, so she's kind of our partner."
"Oh," Lillie nodded.
Ruby slapped his forehead and said, "In that space, Ryan also discovered those two Togepi eggs. It was for those last two eggs that the Unown allowed us to enter that space. But after we came out, that space had been completely destroyed and disappeared."
Sapphire nodded and said, "Oh. I see."
As they spoke, the group arrived at the deepest part of the ruins. Ryan took out the Master Ball he had teleported over that morning and said, "Please, Celebi."
A flash of white light, and Celebi appeared. Celebi looked at the somewhat familiar scene and gazed at Ryan. Ryan said, "Celebi, please summon the Unown. The space last time should have belonged to Jirachi. This time, we've brought another Jirachi; let's see if we can create another space."
Celebi looked at Jirachi sitting in its original throne position and nodded. Celebi opened its arms, and then rings of pale green light spread outward.
As the light dispersed, the Unown carved on the stone walls peeled off and began to spin rapidly around the group. Ryan said to the Unown, "Unown, do you remember me?"
After speaking, Ryan released another Pokémon, Togekiss, and Lillie also released her Togekiss. The two Togekiss flew in the air, and the Unown stopped.
Seeing this, Ryan immediately said, "The space we went to last time should be Jirachi's space, right? We also have a Jirachi here. I'd like to ask you to help this Jirachi create a space so it won't fall into a long slumber again."
The Unown whispered among themselves, and then an O-shaped Unown floated out. It represented all the Unown in agreeing and also indicated that it would teach Jirachi how to open a space.
Ryan nodded, simultaneously thinking to Celebi: "This is a rare opportunity, watch carefully and learn well! Try to be able to open your own legendary Pokémon space later."
Celebi nodded in understanding and then began observing the actions of the Unown.
However, the Unown immediately dispelled Ryan's idea of learning their technique. The reason was simple: the task of opening spaces was to be completed by the Unown themselves. It was estimated that only Palkia and the Cosmog line could open their own spaces, and only they had comprehended an essence related to space, so they should be able to open their own separate legendary Pokémon spaces.
The Unown tore open an entrance in the space; the other side of the space was endless chaos. Jirachi, protected by the Unown, entered the chaos. The method for creating space from then on was simple.
The space torn apart by the Unown was already a relatively stable area. Jirachi only needed to release its essence, and substances in the chaos that matched its essence would converge toward Jirachi. As these substances gradually increased, a stable small space would form. Sand, water, trees, and flowers would then slowly grow within this stable space.
Of course, this growth was very slow, and external objects could be moved into it. Because this space was formed from Jirachi's essence, it was more suitable for Jirachi's survival and could keep Jirachi active, preventing it from falling into a long slumber.
The next issue was the placement of the entrance to this space. Placing it within the Ruins of Alph wasn't a good choice. Ryan suggested that Jirachi place the entrance near his manor, so he could help it quickly develop the environment within the space.
Jirachi readily agreed to Ryan's suggestion. Ryan handed the Master Ball to Celebi, allowing the Unown to use their dimensional portal to return directly to Pallet Town, eliminating the need for Ryan to teleport Poké Balls anymore.
Moreover, Celebi itself is a forest guardian, which can help Jirachi perfect its small space. At the same time, Ryan also began planning to convince the Unown to help his other Pokémon create their own small spaces.
According to Reshiram's knowledge, these small spaces are formed from the convergence of primal energy, making them very suitable for legendary Pokémon. Because their primal attributes are compatible, they can better hone their primal power and accelerate their mastery.
After the Unown sealed the entrance to the space, Ryan and his companions left the Ruins of Alph. Ryan looked up at the sky and said, "There's still a little over a month until the Champions League Tournament begins. I'm determined to take first place this time!"
Sapphire also pumped her fist and said, "I'll work hard too! Even if this tournament is full of strong players, my goal is at least to reach the top sixteen! Ruby, come spar with me!"
Ruby looked at the confident Sapphire and smiled, nodding in agreement.
"Next, let's go back to Pallet Town first, handle some Team Rocket matters, and then have some proper special training!" Ryan said.
Then Ryan took out the Light Stone, and Ruby grabbed his hand, saying seriously, "It's not too far from Pallet Town, let's take a plane."
The two girls nodded frantically; they couldn't handle another high-speed experience in the sky!
